Must be the first quote I get here but in case this thing is generated:

"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/g/george_santayana.html

And a number of others, I always liked that quote, "Only the dead have seen the end of war".

That at Cardiff doesn't leave a good impression, they strove to get promoted for a few years, probably had some bad luck and Swansea seemed to have some good luck.

Disgruntled Geordies set to march before their home game against Liverpool, in protest of Ashley and how the club is being run.

I wonder how the media will react (if at all)?

Probably with their tongues up the Geordies' @rseholes- 'massive club' aren't they?

Really wish Holloway would play Kevin Phillips even if he's on the wrong side of 40, helped Palace last year in the Championship. A win for either of these clubs is huge. Martin Jol is a cagey vet, one would think he'd have the wherewithal to get the 3 points today. Unfortunately, I think Fulham will take this.

Goal of the season contender from Kasami. Like Torres' against us from a few years ago but even better.

I hope no one ever does that at Ewood. They'd be booed off the field...... rem the Ewood faithfull don't like direct hoofballs half the length of the pitch up to the striker. It's not proper football I've been led to believe.

I'd suggest Pulis too. Holloway's teams are always very open and freewheeling which is not what you can do with a 1st division squad. Pulis will battle it out and get things organised.

There have been a few sudden sackings, Derby, Boro and now Palace have binned their manager out of the blue.

Be a tough one, even for Dyche. High flying Dingles with a real chance of promotion and building the squad he wants or a poor palace squad which will struggle on all season and most likely be relegated, just to be back in the championship again.

I wouldn't give Dingles more than one season in the Premiership if they do manage to get up though.

If Dyche get's offered the Palace job, which I don't think he will, it could be his one chance to manage in the Premiership, he'd definitely take it.

I heard some Palace fans moaning about Pulis and his brand of football. They are extremely stupid if they think a Guardiola type is going to come to their p!ss pot club and get them playing fancy football. Their treatment of Holloway was unjustified (death threats were made) but will they get the same media hate we got with Kean? course they won't its Landan innit mate!

Will have a sly chuckle when they go down at the end of the season.

Maybe but Burnley are only a couple of injuries away from not going up and he doesn't have the money to buy if they do. Palace even if they go down will go down with a cool £60mil. Certainly would be a better prospect than Burnely if Burnley miss out on promotion this season.

The more you think about how big those parachute payments are, if you are well run team and manage to get promotion, it could be a good idea to not spend too much. Keep the team together maybe add just a couple of players so your wages don't rise horrifically. Yes you know the likelihood is you are going down but if you have a good manager in place that got you up in the first place, with the team you got promotion with. If you add a few good signing when you go down. The great chance of getting back up is high. Your club has huge financial security and you can steadily improve it.

In other words if you have a long term plan...........if fact perhaps the mistake is to panic and get rid of the manger who got you up - when you know its going to be hard to keep your place in the prem.
