Bloody Hell! Is that Englands finest? I rem when we had quality gk's in depth and used to take the proverbial out of Scottish keepers! What was in his head? The City defender was well in front of Torres and a simple header up in the air toward Hart would have easily sufficed. I could understand him coming for it if the ball had come into the area but it was still some way out.

Events like that can destroy keepers.... in fact I'd wager his indecision was down to previous ricks.

From that angle you can see even Harts timing was poor he was never going to head it as its not bounced enough so he would have had to control it on his chest

You can blame Hart because its his fault

If he doesn't come out there is no danger at all and Nastastic can deal with it no problem, as it was he was focussing on the ball as he should have done and expected that Hart was doing what he should as well

Hart takes the majority of the blame - again

Can't blame Hart for that clanger. Nastasic must have seen Hart racing off his line and should have just blocked off Torres allowing Hart to control the ball and wallop it clear.

Yes you can. Why did he think to come flying out of his box when the defender had control of the situation. If he would have stayed put it was an easy dink back to him.

I do think that this incident is the end of him at City. They will buy a keeper in January. Either Begovic from Stoke, or some established continental; Casillas anyone?

Wow he's gotta be match fixing there.

Or his first gaffe completely shattered his confidence?

If it was match-fixing, he's the worst actor in the world.

Baumann's been at Freiburg for over ten years and he's vice-captain. It would be like someone suggesting Steven Gerrard would match-fix against Liverpool, or Dunn for Rovers.

I'll take your word for it as I don't know much about him or german football, but yikes that's 3 bad goals

The more you think about how big those parachute payments are, if you are well run team and manage to get promotion, it could be a good idea to not spend too much. Keep the team together maybe add just a couple of players so your wages don't rise horrifically. Yes you know the likelihood is you are going down but if you have a good manager in place that got you up in the first place, with the team you got promotion with. If you add a few good signing when you go down. The great chance of getting back up is high. Your club has huge financial security and you can steadily improve it.

In other words if you have a long term plan...........if fact perhaps the mistake is to panic and get rid of the manger who got you up - when you know its going to be hard to keep your place in the prem.

Boing Boing Baggies.

Boing Boing Baggies.

I had a similar discussion with a bloke at work today.

The only problem is, can winning and losing be turned on and off like a tap? In other words, can a team which loses week-in-week-out in the PL go back to winning ways in the Championship the following season?

Kean was only here for 7 matches, so 15% of the season. Somewhat impractical to judge his potential success in the Championship on 7 games, especially as in his final game we were beaten after a dismal home performance against Middlesbrough.

QPR? It can be done, quite a few teams have gone down to come back up or get very close IE play-offs. Trouble is they in the main were well run clubs with a strategy to do so, could Venky's and the shelf-stacker? I'm not sure.

Anyone watch MOTD?

Why has Alan Shearer suddenly changed his voice to some daft university hybrid accent with an upward infliction?

Yes he has definitely been doctored, media school/voice coach.

Obviously taking the job very seriously lots of easy money to be made over his lifetime, as long as he stays clean and is

politically correct most of the time.

Made me laugh watching Danny Murphy having a go at Norwich and Fulham players for lack of effort and discipline,

you really could'nt make it up.
