I am a long time reader of the forum but have never posted before. Growing up in the North West, I was presented with the choice of following Manchester United or Blackburn Rovers so as a child so I decided to pick Blackburn simply because it was closer and Shearer was my favourite player at the time. However, my continued affection to Blackburn rovers was being the team that continually bloodied the nose of the big clubs who would sneer at the club despite being one of the most successful in the premier league era. The Mark Hughes era epitomised this the most with excellent but aggressive football.

I have many favourable memories as a rovers fan with the highlights being the 4-3 away Fulham win in 2004 and the 2005 2-1 Old Trafford win, which I was lucky enough to attend. Favourite players over the years have included Shearer, Dunn circa 2002, Duff, Bellamy, Savage and Samba. My favourite managers have been Mark Hughes and Kenny Dalglish.
