Parsonblue Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I think the difference is that he seems more confident this season. Last season he struggled with the Reserves and lost his place in the team. He returned at the end of the season and played a couple of games on the right hand side of midfield. In pre-season he has looked good and clearly now feels part of the team. Hopefully, he will continue to progess for on the evidence of today he could certainly do a job for us on the right.

Ricky Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Just a shame that we struggled all season for a right back when it appears we had a pretty decent one all along.
perthblue02 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Just a shame that we struggled all season for a right back when it appears we had a pretty decent one all along. Was the same with a few position's last season and use of players , looking from the outside it seems we were gearing up for relegation having unfortunately failed at the last hurdle in the 2010/2011 season and life in the Championship the following season, bet you would have got decent odds on that.
Mullionvagrant Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Ha ha it can only help his confidence having his name chanted every time he gets near the ball... maybe we should try that with pedersen too now he has remembered where the net is and that he has a right foot too!!!
Steve Moss Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Thats the easy way out. We signed Bruno from the Brazilian 2nd division. Not many would have compared that level to Championship level. I'm not saying the bloke is a world beater or advocating that he should have played last year. However, many people have ridiculed him as being a fake ( i probably did too). The fact is he signed undr dubious circumstances, but he did want to make it and it would seem, he has deserved his chance. Good luck to him i say. +1. I'll also hold my hand up and admit I was wrong. Bruno is apparently pretty decent. Kean Out!
USABlue Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 A big bright spot in the darkness that was Keansville yesterday. I like this Bruno.
sharpysharps Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I would get this guy on the back of my shirt but he uses his first name and it just reminds me of that Bruno character that Ali g created lol
Ossydave Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I think it was sarcastic cheering when he came on against Hull on most people's parts (myself incuded), but he is actually doing ok so far, long may it continue......
A cup of beans Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 He started at right full back with Lowe on the wing. During the second half he and Lowe switched with Bruno pushing further forward. There you go, Stuart. Was switched as Leicester were exploiting him. Hes a poor right back, and if hes played there he'll continue to get ripped apart. Cant fault Bruno's enthusiasm, and he may do a job on the right wing. an old Alan Wright! Please! Bruno only played about 50 games in Brazil!

I'll never credit Kean with anything. Tactical nous... Id give him a Testical noose! Kean has fallen on picking Bruno by accident/ necessity.. same thing. Did ok against Hull, but they never threatened.
Backroom Tom Posted August 26, 2012 Backroom Posted August 26, 2012 The problem is he was a cult hero before he came on against Hull because most people thought he would be a bit rubbish Now he looks like he's actually ok people will start being more critical of him, he can play steady for quite a while and then one mistake at full back is easily punished and highlighted. Hope he gets a good chance but knowing Kean he'll be out of the team next week
Lathund Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I would get this guy on the back of my shirt but he uses his first name and it just reminds me of that Bruno character that Ali g created lol Totally different!! That was Brüno. Can't escape the memories of Berner though..
grizfoot Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Was the best outfield player from Saturday I thought. Was very impressed by the fact he kept things simple for the large part and very rarely gave the ball away. Also completed a few mazy dribbles, and for me offered a bigger threat on the right wing second half than Lowe did in the first. I would keep Lowe at right-back because he's the quicker of the two players whilst I think Bruno despite not being that quickest looks very decent technically and could be used effectively in midfield.
Nobert Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Amazing how quickly he has changed from his Agent 57 persona to a proper cult hero. Maybe Myles Anderson could be another one.............

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 27, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted August 27, 2012 He looks unnatural with the ball at his feet and has a shocking first touch, that aside, not been too horrified with his contributions thus far. Chanting for him is hilarious as well!!
neophox Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Im actually looking forward to see Bruno in action again!
LeChuck Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Word is he has returned to Brazil Surprised he stayed this long to be honest. That does leave us short at right back though, unless Orr is returning...
