Ricky Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Pretty sure we looked at Lambert a couple of years ago when southampton were in league 1. Decent signing but can't see them selling. More chance of getting Sharp.
chaddyrovers Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 No chance of getting Lambert. Moore is useless. Should have gone for Cox. Oh yeah Shebby said he could do better which he failed at! Go for either Frazier Campbell or Nicky Maynard.
Kamy100 Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Pretty sure we looked at Lambert a couple of years ago when southampton were in league 1. Decent signing but can't see them selling. More chance of getting Sharp. Feel the same, no chance of getting Lambert, we should target Billy Sharp who we would have a chance of getting and he is a very decent player. Luke Moore - no thank you.
chaddyrovers Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 Kamy, are we still looking to sign Wickham on loan??? Should have sign Simon Cox now. but certain people thought we could do better. Shebby was wrong.
sharpysharps Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Really not sure what the thinking process is with either of these two players. Moore we could easily do a deal for but he is a worse player than cox that's for sure. Lambert...really? Are they having a laugh? Just bring in someone realistic pls, he no longer falls into that bracket.
patrickvalery Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Considering Southampton aren't short of a bob or two, this surely must be seen as another pointless pursuit designed to appease the fans. I cannot see any circumstance where Lambert would give up a life times work to get to the top level, just to pack it all in to sign for Rovers. Luke Moore isn't what we need. I'd sooner we look at RSC on loan than pursue unattainable targets like Lambert or useless no marks like Moore. And i don't even want RSC!!!
Rover_Shaun Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Luke Moore is even worse than Goodwillie Yes he is THAT BAD
Hekla Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Lambert? They would never sell. Moore? He can never hold down a starting place anywhere, must be saying something about him.
roverandout Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 dont worry, we are dropping our standards of strikers every week, in a few days we will be chasing an accy stanley reserve and the guy that plays in the sunday league
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Now Luke Moore sounds a much more likely venky target... crap
Hekla Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Just bid for Billy Sharp, he would surely be interested and I'm sure they would sell. If not a loan for Vellios from Everton would be very good.
donnermeat Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Chaddy you're mad if you think WHU would do any deal with us regarding Maynard.
Baz Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Sooner have Roger Moore, as for Lambert that has to be a joke, how about a realistic target?
A cup of beans Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Lambert! Wtf. Jesus even the LET are on the wind up! Cryer should be ashamed to have written that! My god.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Lambert won't be interested......managers don't let personal feelings come into play, unless they want to harm a player's career for personal reasons........if Luke Moore is the answer then we might as well ask Rigters or Jeffers back.
andyroversmad Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 After all this time wasting of names like Rhodes and Gudetti we are now interested in Luke Moore. How is Luke Moore better than Rochina and Goodwillie ? we should just stop messing about and get a bid in for Billy Sharp and a loan offer for Santa Cruz.
chris_h Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Lambert - No chance. Moore - No thanks. Next. Just seen the above post. A fit RSC would score buckets in the chumpionship imo.
Ricky Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Yep. RSC had a decent season in Spain last season. Would do very very well at this level. However I don't know why we're all talking about these different players. Glen clearly stated that we are only after Rhodes and Guidetti and nobody else. I'm sure none of the 'glenites' can comprehend him being wrong
Hekla Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Good call on RSC, if he stays as fit as last season for Betis he would score hundreds in this league.
Beta Ray Bill Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 'glenites' Mullateens? The correct term is Mullanrices. They come in different flavours. Anyhow, this smacks of another attempt to curry favour by trying to linked with a striker most would welcome, but has little chance of ever signing. Seems to be a well worn tactic that grew stale 18 months ago.
tugay5 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 If we're looking for people who arnt getting a game at Swansea is rather us go for the lad dobbie. He was great for Blackpool and a much. Better option than Moore. Edinho showed yesterday how much we need to add strikers. He is way below what is needed
Mercer Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Lambert - even if Southampton would sell and he would come would be poor business. Going on 31 with only 1 season (I think) @ championship or above, he would cost big money and come on a 3 or 4 year contract. Murphy, Etuhu, Gomes, the list would get bigger of overpaid liabilities who would be less than useful even if we did get promoted. Moore - a journeyman. Would prefer Goodie, Ruben any day. RSC - are some folk being serious, "if he can stay fit" - highly unlikely, look at his record and no doubt would cost us a fortune. It's all very simple, if you want a player, put the feckin dosh on the table (Rhodes) - it's the only way if you want something that someone is reluctant to sell.. Absolutely ridiculous, to be blunt, I think we've p1ssed about for 3 to 4 weeks and never has the old p1ss-up in a brewery saying been more apt.
roverandout Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 why are people obsessed with santa cruz? he has had one good season in his career, why not bring back benni mccarthy while we are at it?
