tomphil Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 He's mentioned the "Book value" of the squad a few times in the past. It would explain a lot about what the whole project is about i think.

G Somerset Rover Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 But surely if there were a certain agency with links to all these players then they'd do it a bit more inconspicuously? Throwing 6 of them at a club in one summer is obviously going to raise eyebrows.
JBiz Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Kamy reporting on twitter that it raised a few eyebrows and if the deals are linked to the same agency, there could be trouble ahead with the footballing authorities.... I wouldn't pin your hopes on one of the footballing governing bodies getting involved lad, They have proved so far, they do not give a ###### about Blackburn Rovers, its town or its Fans.
Nobert Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Perhaps, if such stories are true of course, the agency thought 'well, we can get away with anything when our friends are taking these Indians for a ride. After all, the FA doesn't stand for the Football Association.' Greedy people can often over step the mark and fall when they start to think their good luck and ambition can overcome common sense. It has happened to so many great figures in history.

But if there is no link between this particular Agent / Agencies and the agency/media partners who make them loads of money from TV rights they are more likely to pretend to be concerned, as it wouldn't be opening a can of worms in their own backyard so to speak. anyway Burnley Bob is still on various FA committee's so I'm sure he will be the first to flag up any wrong doings
AllRoverAsia Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Maybe its just that Coco the plonker is his opening his own Bar needs staff - waiters barmen and the like. Maybe he's just showing us who's boss and giving Shebby the finger. Maybe he just likes young Portgugese blokes. Someone is in for it getting that keeper from Poland when Coco said Portgugal. Anyway Rovers are Kean's plaything so he can do want he likes.
hesfromburn Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I dont believe there are any wrong doings. The explanation is the simple one - Steve Kean REALLY does think he has an untapped market and believes the fact he is fluent in Portugese will help him prove to be a manager and get the best out of these players that from the outside look to be very poor quality. To me this proves he clearly has a lot of power still over Venkys, they are clearly letting him buy who he wants, sacking the scouts at the club and letting Kean use agents and contacts he knows in Portugal to bring in a silly amount of unknown portugese players into the club and just hoping out of hope that one or two of them come good. It is just the next chapter in Venkys book of how not to run a football club.
JBiz Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 But if there is no link between this particular Agent / Agencies and the agency/media partners who make them loads of money from TV rights they are more likely to pretend to be concerned, as it wouldn't be opening a can of worms in their own backyard so to speak. anyway Burnley Bob is still on various FA committee's so I'm sure he will be the first to flag up any wrong doings Scary ain'tit So many of the main producers, pundits and presenters, of the main EPL sponsors news programmes, are represented by the same money grabbing morons who represent a few choice managers and players. Hence why the questions and answers are pre-determined and the issues effecting any member of this hierarchy are always skirted. Come to think of it, I think there was a certain interview, with a certain agent, on a certain news channel about a certain clubs fans... (apologise for the obvious vagueness to avoid the comment being deleted)
perthblue02 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Could be a really simple alternative answer , posted this in the transfer thread , Vietnam national team coach is Portuguese and apparently a Venky's spokesman they could be asking his advice http://www.thailand4...52bc54e811fd41/ Highly unlikely and might be worth keeping an eye on property ownership changes in certain area's of Portugal
JBiz Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Perth... Your a legend. Let me explain; Notice his spell playing at Acedemica? Who Signed Steve for Academica then? Basically what I am suggesting is, Venkys advisor and business contact in Vietnam - is advising them on decisions to take at Blackburn. (including the manager) It could really open a can of worms EDIT - These figures are from Wikipedia, if anyone has a more dependable source please inform me
Silencio Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 does anyone really believe billy bullshit is fluent in portuguese? aside from that, this new transfer seems about as dodgy as you could get, it's as if they are taking the ###### now...

I think that certainly shows that Kean is heavily involved in the signing of these Portugese players, where Kean is involved surely the dark knight Jerome or associated agent friends can't be far behind. It stinks.
JMillZz Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Anyone else noticed how new posters have popped up on the LT website praising Kean, Venky's and our signings in a very obvious manner. I present to you a post from DanVan87: "I think people should wait and see what these new players will produce before we completely slate the signings. Portugal is a pretty untapped market and most of the players at the higher level have far superior technical ability than the equivalent English players and to be honest given the ridiculous price hike for English players (Scott Downing - £20 million, Andy Carroll - £32 million) why pay that kind of silly money when you can purchase a slightly unknown talent for far less and if the result pays off then you can't really lose. I for one think this new defender looks pretty good, fairly no-nonsense with a very good turn of pace and a great header of the ball, and at the end of the day did we not call for a defender? Up the blues" Now I'm sorry but how would this random chap know about the market being untapped or about the quality of this latest signing? No one has seen this player yet. Lots of fishy activity around this club. Also considering these portuguese players don't come up on an FM search with a large database it leaves me thinking they won't be anything too good. Especially considering the creators of football manager have huge and thorough scouting networks. Untapped my backside.
invisiblejim Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 It's also another link from Venky's to Steve Kean from before the takeover. Calisto was 'company ambassador' for Venky's in an event in June 2010. http://www.indiaprwire.com/pressrelease/food/2010060352592.htm

Can we have the link for this... Obviously - if Calisto is represented by a certain agent who was asked to sell the club... who also represented the manager. Surely we are talking conflicts of interest.
perthblue02 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Some updates. Henrique Calisto left the Vietnam Job 3/2/11 - and is currently unemployed after coaching FC Pacos de Ferreira in the Portugese Superliga between 1/12/2011 and 27/5/2012 Can we have the link for this... The link is in my post 8 posts up from yours press release from 2010 The event was opened by Kuldeep Singh, Acting Consul, Consulate General of India in Vietnam. Henrique Calisto, Head Coach of the Vietnamese National Football Team, was guest of honour and event ambassador. Probably all coincidence but will put on my Kean and associates family tree
invisiblejim Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Absolutely Perthblue - one more thing you might like to note is that Mr Calisto's son is an agent with TGC Sports Management. http://english.vietnamnet.vn/en/vietnam-in-photos/21854/dangerous-circus-shows-on-the-road.html

perthblue02 Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Nice location for an office that, would have been useful for going to see Edinho Junior last season, I heard his dad played in Scotland. Kilmarnock ?
Tom10K Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Kilmarnock ? Edinho Senior played for Dunfermline by the look of it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edon_Amaral_Neto on loan from Bradford at the time.
roverandout Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 clearly kean thinks he is the next wenger, unearthing young stars but we all know kean is a delusional twit, who couldn't unearth a worm. there are players to be had in portugal but these guys usually end up at big clubs, the ones kean is bringing in are the unwanted rejects
LeftWinger Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Once we've signed Diego Rosado and Nuno Henrique - we'll have one more Portuguese player in our first team squad (6) than Benfica (5) and only one less than Sporting Lisbon (7). Bizarre.
67splitscreen Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Remember when questioned about SEM/Kentaro, Ms Desai stating they were only one of many advisers, seems pretty obvious now that TGC and Henrique have been lurking for prior to the takeover.
arbitro Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Edinho Senior played for Dunfermline by the look of it http://en.wikipedia....don_Amaral_Neto on loan from Bradford at the time. I refereed Edinho Senior a couple of times and in one of the games he conned me and deliberately 'scored' a goal with his hand. The game was live on Sky and I actually saw a replay of the incident at half time in the changing room. I challenged him about it just before we started the second half and he denied it, not knowing that I had seen it.
