Towards the end of last season I posted on BRFCS advising that a book was coming out about the last 2 years.

"Agents, Rovers and Cricket Loving Owners" is now complete and copies of the book will be going out today to everyone who has pre-ordered.

The book will be delivered by courier after 5 pm for all those with a BB, PR, BL or WN postcode. For everyone outside these postcodes (including those who have pre-ordered from overseas) the book will be posted out today by Royal Mail.

The last 2 years have been a frustrating time for all Rovers fans, I have been disappointed with how the story has been reported in certain quarters and I hope the book goes some way towards putting this right. All my efforts have gone into making sure that the book is an accurate, fair and comprehensive record of the last two years as a Rovers fan. I would welcome any comments anyone has and I am happy to answer any questions on this thread.

I am sure there will be people who agree with the book; people who disagree with the book; people who like the book and people who don't like the book. I am a Rovers fan and, despite the subject matter, I do hope that all those who buy it will find it an informative and enjoyable read.

Feel free to get in touch via email, Twitter or Facebook if you have anything to add. I am a proper football fan, Rovers fan and proud Blackburn man. I am interested to hear different views on Rovers and football. I am also keen to know what people feel can and should be done next and any bits of information that can help increase understanding of the issues raised in the book.

I have been in discussions with retailers about getting the book into shops and that is something I am hoping to sort out in September. At this moment in time I am very much relying on the help of fellow football fans to spread the word.

For anybody who is interested, full details of the book can be found at www.rovertaken.co.uk

All those who have pre-ordered will have now received their copy of the book. If not, it is on its way via Royal Mail. Overseas orders may take a little longer to arrive but anyone who hasn't received their copy by Wednesday just let me know. From the comments I have received so far people seem to like the book. Keep spreading the word. Thank you.

Have we got a kindle version?

Not at moment. Looking at different ways to get it out to anyone who is interested in reading it. I will let you know if there are any developments. At moment sales are going really well just doing it all independently through www.rovertaken.co.uk. All my efforts have gone into the book itself but in talks with retailers now. I was told I would have to price book at £10.99 if I wanted it to go on Amazon. Kept price at £7.99 and told them I would get back to them when they had something slightly more realistic in mind. There is plenty of interest in the book and it is pretty much selling itself by word of mouth so in no rush to be ripped off.

Well, if the book is as good as the free chapter, it'll be a damn good read. I hope it sells well. Ordering as soon as I've retrieved my paypal account! Any plans to forward copies to certain journalists?

Thank you! Glad you liked it! I found that there are a lot of good journalists out there but also quite a few turkeys. Most of the turkeys became experts in swimming and 100 metre sprint as soon as football season finished! Ha,ha! Whatever! If people like that want a copy they can pay for one.

Have you got this on sale anywhere in Blackburn? I have forgotten to order a copy and go on holiday on Thursday, and so would like one to take with me if possible?

There will be copies available on the Action Group market stall in Blackburn Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week, so dependent on your departure time you could get one early morning?

Has Steve Kean ordered one?

Doubt it.... but I bet his lawyer has.

and Agnew will almost certainly have ordered two... one for him and one for the Fat Controller.

I'm looking forward to my copy landing in NYC!

It's on its way. They asked me in the Post Office whether I wanted the USA, Australia and New Zealand orders it to go by air or by land - not sure what they do when they reach the sea! I said how long does it take by land and they said it will arrive in Australia in 56 days. Ha,ha! Don't worry - they are all on their way by air mail! Hopefully should be with you soon!
