Gav Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Wouldn't get too absorbed by the length of this thread m1st. According to the Bristol City forum we've sold 1,200 with more expected on the day. Not half bad for a game inaccessible by train and 200 miles away by car. Thats a really good effort , the fans deserve better than that lying sod in charge!

Baz Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Yeah Daily Mail article also indicated similar pressure.. there was at the beginning of the season talk of a fixed target of 16-17pts for 7 games.. a loss or draw would see that target unacheivable. Given Venkys put in a fair chunk of cash this summer and now have one of their advisors sitting at each and every match and this advisor is no kean fan.. I would not be suprised if they stick close to this target. Not getting my hopes up to much though, Kean seems to manage to scrape results when under such pressure. It's a very strange feeling to want us to lose so Kean is sacked, but also wanting us to win too. Know nothing about Bristol City except Steadinho is their front man, therefore he's bound to score.
martonrover Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 confirmed by Cryer - Balaji and Venkatesh attending today.
Exiled in Toronto Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Excellent review. Seeing our record there in black and white reminded me of when we used to play them regularly and lost every time, without them having particularly noteworthy teams at the time. Win 3-0 and the brothers sack the clown anyway would be a top day
bobsterbrfc Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Could Steadihno be the man to rescue our beloved Rovers once again with a match winning goal? We can dream!
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Bristol city lack quality in every department. However, they have no fear and will attack us. We will sit back and whilst we have the better players I imagine they will punish our deep line. 2-1 Bristol city.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 CKR still not fit. Robinson, Orr, Givet, Rhodes, Pedersen, Murphy, M Olsson, Dann, Etuhu, Nuno Gomes, Bruno That Line up looks very poor to me Subs: Kean, Olsson, Dunn, Formica, Jorge, Edinho, Rochina, Hanley No start for rochina disapointing. Formica's work ethic is also needed.
Mercer Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 CKR still not fit. Robinson, Orr, Givet, Rhodes, Pedersen, Murphy, M Olsson, Dann, Etuhu, Nuno Gomes, Bruno That Line up looks very poor to me Subs: Kean, Olsson, Dunn, Formica, Jorge, Edinho, Rochina, Hanley No start for rochina disapointing. frosty Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Can't believe Martin Olsson isn't starting. Well actually I can, as Kean is our manager.
jimw1988 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Which olsson is playing? The M is not helping.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Very poor side. Like I said our deep slow line is going to get torn apart. Simon should be right wing. Rochina Behind Rhodes.Markus :left wing. Martin LB now that team would have pace. Markus starts. Martin on Bench. Only change is Orr for Formica. Now that's defensive
Commondore Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 A glaring lack of pace all over the pitch. Very much so. Bruno is no slouch, but thats about it... We'll just hope that our experienced players can deliver and save Rovers again. Very poor side. Like I said our deep slow line is going to get torn apart. Simon should be right wing. Rochina Behind Rhodes.Markus :left wing. Martin LB now that team would have pace. Markus starts. Martin on Bench. Only change is Orr for Formica. Now that's defensive I'd like to see Rochina start as well, but it would be incredibly harsh to drop either Gomes or Pedersen at this stage... As long as they're delivering the goods, they should start.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Maybe so. Murphy has to step up today. Looking woeful so far, does nothing
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Presuming Osson is starting left wing? Don't have too many complaints with the line up but i would have liked to see Rochina start.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Left back I believe.Believe Orr or Bruno is right wing. May be wrong though
martonrover Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Martin Olsson should be starting, end of
phildinio Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I recon it's Robinson Orr dann givet Markus Bruno ethuhu murphy Pedersen Nuno Gomes Rhodes
Salgado Is A Hero Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 I think it's: Robinson Orr Dann Givet Marcus Ribeiro Murphy Etuhu Pedersen Gomes Rhodes
G Somerset Rover Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Bl**dy hell why does Kean keep spouting sh*t about Martin Olsson being fit and raring to go and then not play him? We had the slowest team in the league in the Prem and we have it again this season albeit in a lower division. Not confident.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Kean will give the usual. Oh not in right frame of mind, not 100% etc.
Eddie Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Clearly he is fit if he is on the bench, but maybe he isn't fit enough to play 70 minutes. Nothing wrong in easing him back into football, it seems totally normal for a player who has been out since June and missed pre-season.
iBL4cKBuRn Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Been an ongoing trend though. Sweden play him yet Kean says not fit, don't make sense to me.
Clitherover Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 To say his job is on the line (allegedly) he's walking a tightrope not playing Martin Ollsson, I wonder if he's not playing him out of spite because he wanted to leave in the summer. Not exactly the actions of a man who may lose his job depending on this result, more a statement to prove his power at the club, this is why I reckon he's going nowhere.
Backroom DE. Posted September 15, 2012 Backroom Posted September 15, 2012 Hate seeing Bradley Orr in the starting line up.
callumrovers Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 The team Kean is playing is NOT a poor team. We should be more than capable of beating Bristol City with this team. Looks pretty solid to me.
