[Archived] Kindle Fire / UK / HD

Not getting as much coverage as Apple products but the Kindle Fire is finally being released in the UK.

Available for pre-order now from www.amazon.co.uk and shipping at the end of October.

Smaller and a helluva lot cheaper than an iPad - so obviously more limited but I reckon it's going to be a real hit with families trying to excite their kids about reading.

I particularly like the Kindle FreeTime settings where you an allow them, say, an hour a day for apps like angry birds, or watching videos but all day reading books.

Not sure if anyone's interested or planning to get one?
