jw_ Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Don't know if it's been mentioned anywhere but this game will be shown live on Setanta for Australian viewers.
Alan75 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Boro are coming off the back of a bad result as well. Can't see us winning this one. Agreed - Boro will be like a wounded animal If we are going to lose lets make it a humilitating defeat in order to get rid of the clown
Clitherover Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Draw this one and Kean could be sacked - if the rumour mill about required points totals is true. Everyone's a winner.
m1st Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Excellent preview as usual from you, Clare. I was surprised that the Smoggies lost as heavily as they did on Tuesday night while we were scratching out a lucky win, on the balance of play. It gives optimism that we can beat them tomorrow to the part of me which never wants Rovers [even under current management] to lose, while the part of me that prays for regime-change at Ewood wouldn't be too upset if the game finished in a draw.
JAL Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Great preview cn174, loved the old pathe footage. Would like to go to this game to see the new players its just a pity there is a certain individual preventing many people from attending.

I think every Rovers fan would take a draw tomorrow if it meant Kean would be shown the door.
braddock Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Draw this one and Kean could be sacked - if the rumour mill about required points totals is true. Never has a pessimist been so optimistic.
chris_h Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 That doing Boro took at the seaside couldn't have come at a worst time. I think they will be around the play offs in May as they have some decent kids and I like Tony Mowbray who I rate as a good manager. I reckon we could cop a backlash. Knowing Rovers we'll turn in a sparkling 90 minutes and get beat.

LeChuck Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Draw this one and Kean could be sacked - if the rumour mill about required points totals is true. Is that the rumour from the start of the season? That just said his position would "be reviewed" if we didn't meet the points target. I'm pretty sure he'd survive that review if we didn't meet the target but were unbeaten and near the top of the league.
The Rover of Finland Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 No more lucky escapes, I expect Rovers to lose this match 1-2. Boro is much better than Bristol City or Barnsley and we had troubles to beat those clubs. Our individuals gives us a chance to win every game but the defence makes winning hard.
perthblue02 Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Considering the nature of the defeat at Blackpool would expect Boro to come out fighting and win 2-1 Attendance 11,500 (which translates in Agnew speak as 18,500 attendance and 23,000 programmes sold )
Fife Rover Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I think every Rovers fan would take a draw tomorrow if it meant Kean would be shown the door. A draw?? I'd happily take a 10-0 thrashing if it meant "Goodbye Kean".
AJW Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 3rd game in 6 days ,i know this is gonna sound obvious but if Kean rests some players and the players coming in perform well , we'll win comfortably by 2 or even 3 goals , if he doesnt rest players or the player that come in don't perfom well i think we'll struggle ..... i'll go for that latter with Kean naming an unchanged team
martonrover Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Received two emails from Rovers in the last 24 hours advertising tomorrow night's match ( & I'm a season ticket holder ). Shows how poor ticket sales must be and how desperate they are.

PAFELL Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Boro on there day can be a very well organizeed side. Think having played tues, that this is a match tooto far for Rovers.. 1 2 Boro.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Boro on there day can be a very well organizeed side. Think having played tues, that this is a match tooto far for Rovers.. 1 2 Boro. Boro played on Tuesday as well, at least I think some of them did, they lost 4-1 to the Donkey Jockeys. Having said that our luck must run out soon so I'm going for a boring draw.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 This will be the match the players turn up - but the fans don't
philipl Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Great preview Clare! Rovers to continue getting lucky with a win completely against the run of play. Anyone watching this one in London?
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Just have to play better than we did against Barnsley and we should be fine. Could do with Martin Olsson getting back to his best.
JamieUK Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I expected a convincing win on Tuesday and we were crap. Tomorrow I'm expecting us to play too deep again and draw/lose. Therefore we'll win 4-0.
bluebruce Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 We have played awful and kept winning. We have three straight wins at home, Boro three straight defeats away. Something has to give. Therefore I predict we play well, and lose. At least one of Gomes or Rhodes won't score this time out, their runs have to end soon too.
