thats what i meant but i didnt know how to put it as im so flaming upset and annoyed with this whole thing

on another note surely if he is given more time or god forbid a new contract then that must make shebby's position untenable, he is supposed to be her eyes and ears, her 'advisor' ignoring his views must make him think about resigning

Not wanting to derail the thread, but just watching sky sports news, is Neil Lennon the most miserable man in football? Never smiles, mumbles, miserable *******.

I think it's because he's ginger.

Interestingly here's a comment from a Stoke fan -

"If They do sack Kean and appoint Eric Black as caretaker it could be a decent move. I never understood why Black got the sack at Coventry - in his 26 games in charge they averaged about 1.6 points per game - more than they managed immediately before his appointment or since his sacking. And he's still only 48 so his best years could be ahead of him."

I'm not saying it will be a good appointment because there's no way of determining that until they're here, no matter who Kean's replacement is (if he goes), but at least he has managed before.....let's just hope they sack Kean and try get an experienced manager in.

Nixon is pretty much saying that the only reason the sacking hasn't been announced is because of Venkys being the same old amateurs as they always have been. His main focus now appears to be on who is coming in rather than if he is going.

I don't want to get too excited because Nixon is very close to the club and his sources are usually connected to Kean. He also likes Kean, if there was any chance at all that Kean was staying Nixon would be all over it.

He's going. I've pretty much denied every rumour but he is finally going, I can feel it.

Hope you're right but it's odd he's taken training today.

From getting sacked this morning to potentially getting a new contract? This could only happen in the mad, bad world at what used to be a well run, family orientated club. How can our emotions be played with by a bunch of morons who probably couldn't decide what they should have for tea?

I think they should sell Brockhall and re-open it as a mental hospital again because if this carries on much longer we will all go crackers and will end up there.

I'm growing tired of this taking training argument. That really doesn't mean anything at all.

Until there is an official announcement, he is still Blackburn Rovers' Manager. Until they have agreed compensation on his contract, he is still Blackburn Rovers' Manager. Whilst he is still employed in that role, he will be expected to fulfil the roles outlined in his contract. If he refuses to do that then he is in breach of contract and everything changes. THERE IS NOTHING IN THAT HE TOOK TRAINING TODAY. If he didn't take training today, they would have announced the termination of his contract this morning.

Nixon said that last time though? He took training too also. If they were terminating his contract I just can't see him doing that.

He is under contract until (if) he is sacked/removed from management duties. If he is to be given/claim any compensation for dismissal he has to fulfil his contract/duties until it is terminated.. so if Venky's stated he had to run training then this he would have had to do.

It would have provided the press with all the ammunition they needed today to run with stories pre-sacking/removal from management duties if he had not taken training today. I don't think you can read much into this...

Ha ha BRF as i was typing this you posted the same...great minds and all.

Have no idea anymore if he's going or staying, got my hopes up last night but should have expected this type of farce until we officially hear the news we've all been waiting for.

A point about him taking the training it has been discussed before that kean displays all the symptoms of a sociopath. Therefore it's to be expected he'll be defiant / delusional until they actually announced he was sacked and would probably still need escorting from the premises.

Edit: just seen above about training which are excellent points in that if he didn't he would be in breach of contract thus affecting any compensation etc

In all fairness the owners haven`t said a word about Kean getting sacked ,it`s come from the "ITK`S". Just saying ,if it isn`t true this is one time we can`t blame them.

Who do you think tells the "ITKs" as you put it? This has clearly been put into the media by Shebby. I sometimes wonder how people think these things work

Through all the is he, isn't he - one thing to ponder - if there wasn't something going on why haven't they just issued a statement saying the rumours are all rubbish ?

It all becomes very interesting - sack him, appoint a new manager - and see the attendance for the Wolves match go up. Don't sack - and I think we will see our first sub-10k league match for some time. The rumour has raised fans hopes - if they dash them again it could be disasterous.

Erm, ok keep your shirt on. As I said, hope you're right.

Surely they could simply have put him on gardening leave

So why did shebby say it was a 'sensitive situation' this morning, when called by graham liver of bbc radio lancs to ask if kean was getting sacked? If the owners weren't seriously considering dismissing kean, surely shebby would have dismissed the rumours as nonsense.

This is clear now.

Shebby V Kean.

Tomorrow we find out the winner. If it's Kean then Shebby will have been made out to be a complete joke by the family he supposedly has a great friendship with. The issue that really worries me that if Kean is the winner...the club really is lost and I fail to see how Shebby could keep up the pretence that he has any power.

I think Shebby will still win. This is the first time that someone except Kean has been reporting back.

Come on Shebby! Finish him!

People would also be even less inclined to go now that they know the low attendances are having an effect on their way of thinking.
