PAFELL you have absolutley no idea, u seem so very confident and if i recall you have been confident before in the past. You need to stop listening to rumours and taking them as gospel mate!!

No not been confident before. But from the moment shebby singh came to the club, I have been confident Kean is on his last chicken legs. I take no notice of rumours.

Mike Ferguson brands Venky's reign as disgraceful.

Fireproof jacket on.

Easy article for Ferguson to write but the owners do seem to have been trying to rectify many of the mistakes they made prior to relegation.

1) People criticised them for not attending games. The two brothers now appear to be attending games on a regular basis.

2) There was criticism that there was no management structure at Ewood following the removal of John Williams and Tom Finn. This was addressed by the appointments of Agnew and Shaw.

3) People complained that there was no communication coming out of the Club. This was addressed by the appointment of Shebby Singh who also seems to be acting as the brothers' eyes and ears inside the Club on a daily basis.

4) People have been suggesting Singh has no power. Well whilst he might not have the ultimate authority to pull the trigger without the ok from the owners, it is quite clear he was appointed whilst having no truck with Kean from his comments made whilst a pundit. Kean now looks to be on the way out after just ONE defeat and fourteen points from seven games which judged from the outside by most objective standards is extremely harsh. Of course we know it isn't overly harsh given his overall record and the manner of the performances this season. Nevertheless I never expected he woiuld get the boot after one defeat, so maybe Singh's input has had a significant effect.

5) People were complaining that the owners hadn't backed the Club. Well they backed them to an unprecedented level for a Championship Club this close season by spending 11m quid on Best and Rhodes. Plus Murphy and Etuhu and the others. And contrary to expectations the majority of the squad stayed intact. We did not see that sort of backing from the previous owners even in the Premiership apart from in their early days when they bailed Souness out of the mire by spending 7m on Andy Cole after the disastrous purchase of Grabbi.

The upshot of having so much quality in the squad is that despite being poorly managed, we are still in a challenging position. Kean (and Black imo) should be put on gardening leave whilst a permanent appointment is found with Brunskill being given caretaker charge.

And, according to my Dad, Dietmar Bruck was the Coventry full-back who Fergie chinned!

Didn't remember the City player involved but there were almost 30,000 on that day with a healthy Coventry following. Electric atmosphere.

Likewise. I'd say that this smells of Kean being given an alternative role once a new manager has agreed to join us.

Then again nothing may change at all. Very difficult to anticipate what's going, regardless of the quality of information all sources receive.

Don't think so - who in their right mind would come in as a new manager and want Kean lurking in the background, no doubt having heard the football grapevine's version of events re Big Sam's alleged 'knifing'.

IMO, Dunny burnt his bridges with a lot of fans last season in his backing of Kean etc, I think on the back of a new contract and help with his coaching badges. Based on the folk I chat with, if representative, I would say he lost a lot of respect with a lot of supporters - many people don't forget, or forgive.

You can add Bradley Orr to that list. The Kean rimming and fan blaming he did after the Wigan game was reprehensible.

He burnt his bridges in 30 shameful seconds

Keans continuing involvement at any level within the club is totally unaccaptable. Nothing short of dismissal ,with preferably a lifetime ban from Ewood, will suffice

I seem to remember they had their own train "Sky Blue Special" or something like that another Jimmy Hill idea, their fans sang the Eaton Boating song.

There've been rumours in the past haven't there about Kean having ome sort of Academy coaching role in Pune. That might just about be acceptable to an incoming manager but surely having him around the Club in this country in any sort of capacity wouldn't be.

Obviously it would be better for all concerned if he were to leave the Club altogether.

I think its pretty clear after this shambles of a week that all Shebby is here for is to attempt to apease us! Has absoltuely no power whatsoever!

David Dunn on the other hand.........fans need to get real

I don't think you can read too much into Dunny's comments over and above them being the normal sort of ones you would expect from a player.

He seemed extremely supportive of Kean etc. when he was in the starting eleven. Now he isn't, we are led to believe he is not. Possibly if he got back in the starting line up he'd be perfectly happy again in a few weeks.

I make no particular criticism of that - human nature.

To be fair to Shebby - nobody other than Mrs D seems to have the power to get rid of Kean. Her brothers have been trying and failing for some time. It would seem, given the rumour that he was due to be sacked, that Shebby has opened their eyes and to be fair got nearer to the ultimate goal of getting rid of Kean than anyone.

We also can't be too hard on the players as they are simply trying to protect their jobs. It's not like we have a star-studded side where the players know that they can get a move easily, if you knew that by speaking out you might be stuck in the reserves for months you would probably keep your mouth shut and do the best to avoid any controversy.

People here saying players have burnt there bridges is stupid, for them Blackburn rovers is just a job which they want to keep, them saying Kean is a good manager, get real ect would be like a McDonalds employee saying the fish burger is a really nice burger. not really sure what else there ment to say

new manager = clean slate;

Agreed, no power but he's clearly the reason why Kean's so close to the door at a time when results on the pitch have been good.

Without him Kean would still be under no pressure whatsoever from within the club.

Nothing at all would be a start. Dunny didn't exactly have to rabbit on, did he? To me it highlights a bizarre situation. Somehow the players must really take to Kean. And yet his managerial record is appalling.

Article was before the trip to Pune. A lot of things have happened since then.

Roberts, Nelsen Samba gone etc.

Too right, would want him 3rd out behind Kean and Agnew. Obviously the owners, but they're not going anywhere.

But if you think about it, it actually makes sense to sack Kean just before the international break. Right now we have 3 games coming up and while I don't relish Kean being at the helm for any of them, sacking him now and bringing in a new manager might throw the training schedule off, plus the players won't have enough time to adjust to the new manager's style and tactics. So Shebby Singh might be indicating that the international break will be used for just that - to quickly get the team used to the new manager while there is time and not throw everything into a mess when there's 3 matches coming up shortly.

Plus there's lot of ways you can read into his interview. He might be hinting for us to keep up the boycott as he knows the fall in revenue is working and pushing the Venkys to "assess" the situation (which will eventually lead to Kean's sacking). There are a lot of strong reports claiming that Kean will definitely be sacked eventually and a new manager is being looked for right now. I say we keep up the boycott until after the international break and turn out in full force for the new manager's debut match. That and we lay off the heat from Shebby Singh and the owners for now. Since none of us know what's going on, there's no use cursing and insulting Shebby Singh and the owners until the international break is actually over and they really did sack Kean by then. However, the boycott for the next 3 matches with Kean in charge might send alarm bells ringing in their heads and further confirm their decision to get rid of Kean. Plus if we turn up full force (though living overseas I can't do that) for the new manager's debut it can be seen that the fans approve of the change in manager and prove to them that Kean was indeed the problem after all.

That, or I could be naive and end up with a egg on my face the moment the international break ends and Kean still somehow remains in charge.

Couldn't disagree more on the basis that it didn't take Allardyce long did it? After Ince not being able to buy a win for months once a proper manager was installed we won the very first match 3-0 v Stoke if my memory serves me correctly.

Think you are wrong there.

Tell me when you have heard Robbo or Givet speak out in favour of Kean. Think they have more principles than the likes of Dann, Orr and Dunn.

Honeslty no does anybody think he will be gone i nthe next few weeks? Just seems to get to this point, people say ohhh its a different feeling now? i think it is absolutely bonkers if i'm honest! I hope to GOD im proved wrong but i just cant see it?!?! He has to much of team kean in the right places. Another obvious thing that is with Shebby here Kean wasnt going to have contact with owners, thats pretty much bull. He will no doubt have direct contact with the boss herself!!

Like i say i want to be proved wrong i really do, just dont really think we will be.

Well, that's a totally underwhelming story from Nicko.

Hardly tells us anything new and just re-hashed quotes from Shebby on Radio Lancashire.

On the contrary, it tells us everything we need to know and do to push the situation along. It tells us as myself and others have insisted that rows of empty seats will win out. Anybody not thinking of joining the boycotting supporters next home match must be quite happy with Billy Liar's tenure to date.
