Joe Jordan would be great to get on board as part of a management team, he wouldn't take any sh1t off anybody.

As someone else said I don't really care who comes in now, anyone would be an improvement on Kean, we could even sign Ince back and the place would be far more positive!

Sherwood isn’t the man for me, no experience and I fear another Brian Kidd episode.

As many have said we need experience, and at the moment we have a few decent candidates on the market for me, but will Venkys like the style of play on offer from the likes of Mick McCarthy? Taking him on makes the last 18months completely unnecessary, hes a poor mans Allardyce, but will probably get us up.

Lets get Kean out first though shall we.

Sherwood not for me. & no I don't need anyone telling me i'm not a rovers fan because he's a rovers legend. Imo, we need a experienced manager who can do 2 things most importantly. Motivate the players & set the team up with an organised game plan.

Whilst I agree we probably need an experienced manager it's unlikely one would come in the circumstances. This is not quite like taking over a PLteam. The quality of most teams is not higher than ours and with better fitness regimes, better training and organisation and some semblance of tactics, plus the leadership skills Sherwood obviously possesses since he was captain and is respected at spurs Sherwood could do well. I know some fans don't like him and he was supposedly a disruptive influence at the end of his time here, but I've only ever heard him talk well about rovers and let's face it - Sherwood or kean is a no brainer

Klinsmann is second favourite behind Tim at 8-1, anyone know of any basis to this, also, wasn't Karl Robinson touted a few months back and was highly recommended to the brothers grimm?

I can't see it, he's managing USA and apparantley doing quite well there with historic wins over Italy and Mexico, is married to an American bird and lives in Calafornia right now! (Or so Wikipedia tells me)

As much as I love our club what the hell would persuade him to swap that for us unless there is something dodgy going on!! (Does being a Rovers fan make you automatically think the worst these days?)

Absolutely has to be a manager with experience, we have been through too much and we have too much to lose by taking a gamble on somebody that hasn`t managed before. Can you imagine taking somebody like Shearer or Sherwood on and they turn out to be a dud, we would be destroyed by the media ,pundits and other fans and branded a hundred times worse than we are now.

Curbs is the only man for me...i say this in terms of availability, knowledge and realism! available straight away, done a great job at Charlton, look at them since he left and i genuinely believe he would come here as everytime i have seem him interviewed lately he seems very eager to get back into management...ticks all the boxes! Not into Sherwood, happy to be proved wrong but we cant take the gamble in this crucial year!! experience is key!!

Also people saying 'Kean or sherwood...no brainer' etc etc...thats not the option, if it was then yes no brainer but we can have a look for a decent established manager!

It seems we have swung into 'next manager' mode again. This makes me very nervous! Thinking about the next manager is fairly pointless and frustrating until the current one is gone. And that is ALL that matters right now. I just want Kean out and will be happier with anyone other than him in charge of our team and in such a position at our club.

For what its worth, my view on Sherwood as next manager- no, he wouldn't be my first choice but he would have my full support. Unlike Kean, Black etc.

Ok, it would be another appointment of an inexperienced manager. However, I would be much more comfortable with such an appointment being made whilst Rovers are in the Championship rather than the Premier League, and with a squad more than capable of gaining promotion. Surely this is a better time than any other for a less experienced manager (with support of an experienced colleague) to take over and build something?

I wouldn't be against McCarthy at all, he may have had his problems in the Premiership but he knows what he's doing in the Championship.

I think with the players we have at our disposal we are always going to score goals, we just need someone to organise us and get us playing as a unit, there are plenty of options, just about getting one who is interested and passionate and that we can afford lol.

Remember our best manager in recent times was Hughes, little experience but obvs good football knowledge and brings in the right backroom people

Mick McCarthy would be terrible and Curbishley won't move up north

You're right about Hughes backroom staff, but he did have plenty of experience and is an exception to rule, which Sherwood may become given the chance.

But both McCarthy and Curbishley have extensive CV's and are a safer bet for me.

You fans getting your hope up realise how on denial you actually look? The forum was in turmoil with pre-celebrations a few nights ago and the yesterday it was chaotic with hatred and verbal slammings directed at the owners, Shebby....Mrs Kean. Now your building your hopes up again?

People who get abused often believe there is some good in their abusers, no matter what they do to dash them. Their hope always grows back.

I want rid of Kean as much as the next person but nobody should be expecting good football from any team managed by McCarthy, in the Championship or Premier League. I'm not suggesting that this is a negative given our current predicament (and the fact that Kean's own brand of play is shocking also) but I'm just putting it out there.

Hope this "new manager" talk doesn't all turn out to be academic but...............

My message to the owners would be: "Think big". People like Redknapp and Dalglish are out of meaningful work for heaven's sake.

Failing that, Sherwood's total lack of experience worries me. On the other hand people like McCarthy and Curbishley are too dour and long in the tooth imo.

I'd go for something inbetween, a younger up and coming manager with successful track record to date. Di Canio or Karl Robinson maybe.

Or to kill two birds with one stone we could try for Holloway which would derail Blackpool as well hopefully.

Im staying positive...hes going!! he has to for my sanity!! i detest the man, was in Ireland recently, there was a time i would of killed to have had my pic taken with the manager of my beloved rovers but as he came towards me i turned my back on him, couldnt bare to even look at him! i realise staff and players may be readily available to many on here but not to me and i got one chance in my own back yard and i couldnt do it...sad times!!

Kean Out!!
