beastlove Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I would go for Kevin Keegan as manager with Tino Asprilla as his number 2

Backroom Tom Posted September 26, 2012 Backroom Posted September 26, 2012 Because plenty of reporters have seen him taking training. Martin Blackburn has been there whilst Kean gave the training. & I'm wrong, I simply said what the Mirror were reporting so I doubt it Mr Caps. Pretty sure Martin Blackburn said himself he hasn't been to brockhall this week but knows someone who was
T.J.Newton Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Keegan would be the best option for a short term manager, he'd easily get the players and fans onside and get us promoted relatively easily.

NH1875 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 http://somepeopleont...t-not-criticism Still some people just dont get it! Told this guy on twitter that I think his article is absolute garbage. Infuriating read.
Mattyblue Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 http://somepeopleont...t-not-criticism Still some people just dont get it! 'Some feel as though he could potentially make a good manager, but that he was handed a big job too quickly and as such this has had negative effects on both Blackburn and Steve Kean. One fan stated that the quote “you’re not a Jedi yet” is apt in this situation' Pahahahahah
bob fleming Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 http://somepeopleont...t-not-criticism Still some people just dont get it! Deary me. It seems to me that every Tom, Dick and Harry with a computer is going around spouting meaningless, ill informed clap trap on blogs and internet columns about BRFC these days. It's got beyond a joke. (NB: September Review - out Sunday - available exclusively from BRFCS via the World Wide Web)

He looks young but he has to get used to criticism, and has to learn to do his own journalism, not just listen to SSN. The article horrified me.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 ''But they should feel ashamed of themselves. Their treatment of Kean has been appalling and he has given his all to help the club. If I were him, I’d leave on my own terms before the club attempts to humiliate him even further'' Utter Brainless rubbish.
martonrover Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 He looks about 3 and certainly writes like he is. I bet he's been deluged on Twitter since Andy Cryer re - tweeted this.
AJW Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 if/when Kean gets the boot how would we all feel if his replacement , is represented by Jerome Anderson ? ... i mean some of his clients i'm sure would be very good for Blackburn , but wouldnt that be just as bad???
Salgado Is A Hero Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 What a strange statement...... Shearer is not a manager, never has been and imo never will be. He's simply not got what it takes. I agree....I would take Sherwood due to how highly rated he appears to be but Shearer should be a no-go imo, regardless of how brilliant he was as a player. N'zonzi wanted to leave because of Kean. Even if we had stayed up he would have gone and the fact he was so ridiculously dropped by Kean at the end of last season no doubt helped his decision, I still think the dropping of N'zonzi really did leave us with no chance of staying up last year. +100 It seems we have swung into 'next manager' mode again. This makes me very nervous! Thinking about the next manager is fairly pointless and frustrating until the current one is gone. And that is ALL that matters right now. I just want Kean out and will be happier with anyone other than him in charge of our team and in such a position at our club. It sounds like they won't sack him until a replacement is lined up so we won't have any time to discuss potential replacements anyway.....so let's talk about potential replacements, as it's always an interesting debate. I like what Jurgen Kilnsman did for Germany during the 2006 World Cup in Germany. I wouldn't mind if he comes over, but like people said what are the chances? The guy's probably happy with managing the US team, right? I think it says in Phillip Lahm's autobiography that the Bayern Munich players discussed between them how they would play etc as he gave no time to tactics....I remember reading about it. Yea here it is - "We practiced little more than fitness. Tactical things were neglected. The players had to get together before [the games] to discuss how we wanted to play. After six or eight weeks, all players knew it wouldn't work with Klinsmann. The rest of the season was damage limitation." Also found this from another website - Players publicly criticized Klinsmann’s tactics, claiming they were too offensive and naïve, and Brazilian midfielder Zé Roberto said one of Klinsmann’s half-time talks toward the end of his reign consisted only of, “You have to score a goal.” Curbishley fits the bill IMO: 1- Has the experience of getting a side promoted. 2- Has kept up with the modern game with his media work. Listen to the guy on SSN to discuss current events in the game, he knows his stuff. 3- Has managed to keep sides in the Premier League. He kept Charlton in the league for years and even had them pushing for the Uefa cup places. Kept West Ham up when they looked doomed, following season had them in the top half before he left. 4- Can manage on a budget. 5- I remember his Charlton and West Ham sides playing some pretty decent football. Any managerial appointment is a gamble, but I could see a Pardew mk2 if he got back into the game. Pardew had been out of the game for some time but he has done a really decent job since coming back into football management. Listening to the guy it's clear he wants to get back into management, he's just looked for the right opportunity and a chance to be considered. I don't know if he would take the job or if Venky's would consider him a target, but if I was them he would be the first manager I would be looking to speak to. I can't really remember much of how his West Ham team played, but I swear Curbishley's Charlton side played some nice stuff....obviously getting promoted is the only real target but with the players we have at our disposal I'd love to watch us keep the ball on the deck as we do it. I've always been a fan of Curbishley and he's been usually been my 1st choice since Ince's reign clearly wasn't going to work.

He looks young but he has to get used to criticism, and has to learn to do his own journalism, not just listen to SSN. The article horrified me. You know what? I can't be bothered. I'm sick to the back teeth of people like him. He clearly knows zip about the situation at Blackburn Rovers and yet feels the need to comment on it to all and sundry. If he was that bothered about our football club he would surely have read up a bit more on the subject rather than just toeing the general media line (or should that read media lie?). If you want tell him to go and read Michael Blackburn's book then great, tell him to spend 12 hours reading back over this very website about the goings on at the club over the last 22 month. Ask him to dig out some of the nonsensical Kean quotes over the last 22 months. Ask him how we went to Spurs needing a win to stay up last season and didn't have a single shot in the entire 90 minutes. Then after he's bothered to do all that ask him who he supports and if he's still that big a fan of him he can get a petition off the ground to install him as manager at his own football club. Not that I'd wish Kean or his agent on any football club.
DannyKeg Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Perhaps we could have a poll on weather or not we should have a poll ?

Reider84 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 The article was ridiculous but the fact he has now taken it down after a bit of criticism shows he has no backbone at all, what's his twitter? I have something to say.
