Protect them from what ? This is a negative selection, no pace, craft or penetration out wide, we'll be playing in front of Charlton hoping for a mistake all afternoon. I don't recall Keith Newton needing much protection or even the likes of Berg and LeSaux.

To be fair Wilcox and Ripley defended and covered their fullbacks.....Something that Keans wide men never did.
