Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 FINALLY!!!!!!!!! Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo On behalf of all the Blackburn Rovers fans all over the world Thank You Thank You Thank You. There is a god Resigned? Pushed? Judge for yourself as i couldn't give a monkies the man who we've all despised for well over a year as finally seen sense and walked away. Thank you for getting us relegated and thank you for making us a laughing stock. Our club can now look forward to not having a man who speaks more bull**** than sense.
colin Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 That is great news. I just hope Venky's don't screw it up by appointing Shearer. My half bottle of Edradour, 10 year old single malt is about to be disturbed
Dave S Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Why would Harry be there for that, when the opening was on Weds? Harry will be up for the Man U v Spurs game. He's a big mate of Sir Alex.
bob fleming Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 And I love his classy timing. Leaving it until the last possible minute to abandon the team in London He's no Derek Dougan Blue! "Abandon the team"? I bet they're buzzing!
Stuart Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 For 2 years "Keanout" has been on course for adoption by the OED. Feels so weird not to have to say it any more.
readsi3k Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 my mate in stanley house right now Why does the TV in the background say 'De Vere Village' if it's at Stanley House - which as far as I can see on their website isn't owned by De Vere?
perthblue02 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Good up to date piece from Nick Harris http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2012/09/28/steve-kean-forced-to-resign-after-280903/
A cup of beans Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 He's no Derek Dougan Blue! "Abandon the team"? I bet they're buzzing! Bet the players have abandoned their FIFA 13 tournament in favour of a huge drink up! On a serious note, I think I should thank Shebby!
Rover down South Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I'm probably boring you all now, but someone must know something. Redknapp now 6/1 on SkyBet (3rd fav behind Sherwood & Shearer) he started at 25s. Kean only been gone a few hours.
T4E Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 What if Venkys don't accept his resignation, and instead remove whoever it is he's fallen out with (presumably Shebby)?
bluebruce Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 This is absolutely magnificent news, I'm obviously delighted. Like most, I've been wanting this for a very, very long time. However, I would really love if the action groups (and I know this won't happen, which is a shame) come out with a statement that we DON'T want them to appoint another inexperienced 'manager' yet again, making the exact same mistake as last time. This is an absolutely critical season in the impending history of this club, and we absolutely should not be taking a gamble again. It's imperative that we get an experienced manager with a proven track record (in management). I realise that, due to the circus which surrounds our club, it may prove very difficult to attract such a manager (though plenty are available), but the effort should at least be made. I feel certain that the only thing which would prevent Venkys appointing another cheap option is a strong statement from the fan groups. I feel sad that they don't appear to have had the foresight to issue such a statement in their remarks over Kean's resignation, as that was probably the best opportunity for publicity on the matter. I'm atheist, but I still pray our next appointment doesn't cost us.
A cup of beans Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 What if Venkys don't accept his resignation, and instead remove whoever it is he's fallen out with (presumably Shebby)? Come on, pal! Enjoy tonight!
Stuart Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Good up to date piece from Nick Harris http://www.sportingintelligence.com/2012/09/28/steve-kean-forced-to-resign-after-280903/ A fitting epitaph.
EWOODACE1 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!" Today, we celebrate our Steve keans gone Day!
T4E Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Come on, pal! Enjoy tonight! They've done dafter things!!

G Somerset Rover Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 What if Venkys don't accept his resignation, and instead remove whoever it is he's fallen out with (presumably Shebby)? It's on the official site. Relax. He's gone.
Paul Mellelieu Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I just wish that we'd have sacked him. Having said that we did. Without the work of the fan groups the berk would still be manager. Well done to people's power.
A cup of beans Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 They've done dafter things!! Not dafter than that!
JMillZz Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 OMGGGG I am in China right now. Getting effed off my face. I am so happy!!!
DeadlyDirk Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I'm probably boring you all now, but someone must know something. Redknapp now 6/1 on SkyBet (3rd fav behind Sherwood & Shearer) he started at 25s. Kean only been gone a few hours. Wishful thinking more than anything, won't take much at this stage to sway the odds down, especially as high as Redknapp was initially.
