Sneaky feeling that Venkys allowed him to resign to give the semblance of retaining "dignity"(!), compo comes out of the Hoillet money as an ex-gratia payment for past services

Thats what id have thought from the wording of his statement, Cant see a judge of any kind being to sympathetic to his BS, The venkys have been absurdly loyal to him and give him repeated chances for him to show his worth, hes failed miserably as a manager end of(and good riddance!).

p.s. i just hope they take a little time and get the right man for the job now(if they havnt got sombody lined up allready).

Bit harsh that IMHO. Shows a bit of dignity if nothing else.

In view of the timing and the squad presumably now in London, I am imagining some sort of team mutiny or at least an emergency meeting with kean- called by senior squad members and urging him to go.

Could be wide of the mark but it seems very strange at this late hour!

With his language in the press conference this afternoon (about the talks being positive and constructive) I suspect he wouldn't be able to claim constructive dismissal. He has probably signed a Compromise Agreement with an NDA and agreed statements between the club and Kean.
