Oh..the irony.

Of what? My main focus over this season and the majority of last season has been to get behind the team.

I believed for a long time Kean could do something half decent at the club but I was proved wrong (not that he had any help, but that's another minor matter - I was proved wrong on the whole). Doesn't stop my statement in the last post from being wrong though.

Now I'm hoping for a proper manager to come in.

Lets face it this is the real problem, Singh isn't qualified to pick a manager for the football club, and we don't have anyone else to carry out that role.

I can just see it now, the 2 confused brothers and Singh wading through championship manager 2012 looking at the managerial stats and finally coming out with........Eric black, easy optiona and cheap, job done.....

Rubbish, Shebby may not be everyones cup of tea, but by god one way or another in 3months or so he has forced Kean out, it is already stated he knows lots of people in the business and for sure i trust he will NOT make a cheap option (Black) decision, that said lets get behind the team tomorrow, not crappy chants etc, just thank god there will be no Kean stood on the touchline. :brfc:

Can't agree, this man is a football pundit, has less experience than the likes of Merson, Champagne Charlie and Tony Cottee and he's going to pick our next manager

Oh well......

You do write some garbage, :wstu:

I thought the fans forced Kean out?

Yes they did by not turning up, but don't you think Shebby's constant conversations with Ms Desia had absolutely no relevance.

all I can say is we need experience. A gamble could pay off but after our last 2 years a gamble is something we should not be considering.

Shearer has never come across as intelligent enough to become a manager in my eyes

.....and Kevin Keegan did?

fair point ... Do you need to be that tactically astute to get teams out of this league ? lets be honest even Kean managed to get us to the top

I'm coming to the conclusion Shebby was in the wrong job as a pundit. He comes across as smart, humorous, affable and is clearly very determined. To come over here on his own into the Kean nest of vipers, take them on and win says a lot about him imo.

Also, none of us on here (I don't think) were pros for 15 years and played against England so I suspect he has spent more of his life thinking about football than we have. He was an off-the-wall pundit but maybe that's what was needed to keep that job for 15 years.

I think he will do a good job picking the new manager, although it is something of a lottery, look at Jack's record post-Kenny.

How eloquently put, a post with absolutely no substance whatsoever, can't really agree or disagree with you even if I wanted to

You're clearly a Singh fan, probably inhabiting the same planet as him I'd imagine, but what makes you think he's qualified to pick our next manager?

He wasn't qualified in player recruitment yet he managed to bring in some decent(by our recent standards) players in. He could do the same with appointing a manager?

Player recruitment is one thing, and lets face it nobody really knows who's bought Rhodes etc, but after the last 2 seasons and Singhs comments at the open meeting I think the majority will remain sceptical, lets hope he gets it right.

Shebby is no football genius, but anything with a basis knowledge of the game and some common sense could see the problems at Rovers. He's probably no less qualified than any of us to judge candidates. I think he'll put his foot down to any rubbish suggestions and look to select the best out there.

Hopefully there will be no 'external' influences this time round.

Having a manger at the club on merit would be a welcome change!

:rover: :rover: :rover: Only a fan of Blackburn Rovers my friend through thick and thin, and if someone has had a hand in getting rid of Kean well then they deserve some credit, not constant ridicule, for your information I am from planet Darwen if you must know, and you don't have to be eloquent to reply to Opinions such as yours, because thats what this message board is all about opinions, you have yours and I have mine, you think Shebby is not the right person, i tend to think he is going the right way, only my opinion. :brfc:

https://twitter.com/MarkF1875 Venkys London Limited 2day received a notice that the company wil b dissolved in 3 month of todays date unless cause is shown t the contrary

This was an official letter of notice from the registrar of companies uk, under the companies act of 2006, section 1000.

Me speaking now - It's Venkys London who own the club. If this is true I assume the implications for the club would be pretty bad.

I'd have more faith in Shebby if Kean had actually been sacked.

Why, if he sacked him compo automatically, now he has to fight for it

don't understand! who instigated the notice?, normally it takes 28 days if no one objects to a company being disolved

Aren't all funds now held in India though-i.e loans etc... therefore they have no need for Venky's London Ltd. I assume this was set up to secure loans in the U.K. I don't think much can be read into this appart from no mass implementation of Venky Express stores across the U.K!!
