rog of the rovers Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Hope we can remain unbeaten on the road, a point will do, a win would be great. I assume Dexter Blackstock is going to be suspended after his Red Card yesterday? Cox and Sharp certainly as good a strike pairing as any in the division. No doubt there will be goals in this one!

roverandout Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 don't slate me for this but im hoping for another mind-numbing draw, as long as we don't lose, i really don't want black getting any head of steam in case venkys decide 'hes the man for the job'.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Looking at Forest's stats they're no great shakes at the moment. Trouble is the way we are playing I don't expect us to beat any team in this league even Peterboro ! I'd take an away draw at the moment.
Steve Moss Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I want every point we can get, so here's to Eric Black's Rovers thrashing the opposition on Wednesday and Saturday. And thereafter I hope Venkys get smart and promote him to chief scout or something similar on Sunday. We need a winning manager with a lot of experience at the highest levels.
AggyBlue Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I've got a spare match ticket and coach ticket from the Brown Cow. Need to be in the Brown Cow for 15:30. PM if interested.
neophox Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Time to try something new: What about: Robinson Henley, Dann, Hanley, Olsson Vukcevic, Dunn, Etuhu, Nunes Rochina, Rhodes Diogo Rosado to come on instead of Rochina if it don't work out. Gomes needs a rest. I would had liked to have someone else for Hanley, but Givet is something wrong with. I hope this Henriqu Btw when is Colin Kazim back? He would go straight in to the team.
allan Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Black must realise that if he wants the job permanently he has to make changes that actually work. More of the same as at Charlton will result in at least one defeat in the next two games as Robbo , the woodwork and woeful finishing can't come to the rescue every time. Some pace and penetration on the flanks to use the width of the pitch is the number one requirement along with cutting out aimless straight balls to the frontmen.
Hughesy Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Im going this one.... hoping for a win, but right now would take a draw. Vukcevic needs to be on the right, possibly start Dunn instead of Murphy....Send Lowe on loan... hes woeful!
Mattyblue Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I'm booked on with the Ewood Blues for this, I have the pre game buzz that's been missing for 18 long months.
onlyonejackwalker Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Although it would mean only 2 points from the last 6 available, I would settle for a draw at Forest, recognising that the club is currently all over the place. A defeat would be damaging, coming on the back of the Boro loss and Charlton draw.
Daremz Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Although it would mean only 2 points from the last 6 available, I would settle for a draw at Forest, recognising that the club is currently all over the place. A defeat would be damaging, coming on the back of the Boro loss and Charlton draw. Exactly my feeling. But we need to finish these strange weeks with a strong and convincing home win (even if that's due to a Steve Kean header in the 97th minute) vs. Wolves this saturday.
perthblue02 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Givet in squad for Forest game http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/strong-squad-for-forest-match-403179.aspx
braddock Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Sweet. How come Givet left his last club by the way?
perthblue02 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Sweet. How come Givet left his last club by the way? Official reason limited first team appearances despite playing a full role in the previous season.
G Somerset Rover Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 No list of the squad on the official site - I wonder if Vuckevic is in it? Also where on earth are the Polish keeper, Henrique and Rosado?
lukey Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Pretty sure those three played well in the reserves or U'21s earlier this week. There is a report of it on the home page.
dunny81 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Going Forest 2morrow any 1 know how many tickets we sold. Hope we take a good following COYB
watford-rover Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 did black have to do a presser today? if so anyone know what was said?
Puffsan Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 both blackstock and Cox out on suspention. they may have trouble scoring, but then again they are playing vs rovers
Ewoodbhappy Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 did black have to do a presser today? if so anyone know what was said? Just short snippet seen on Sky. Bigged up the Blackburn job, would like to be considered, but its right club takes time to decide, was his answers.
1864roverite Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Puffsfan you are spot on Forest have no strikers available BUT will still find the net against this defence UNLESS of course it now being a KEANSCUM FREE defence they have reverted to being defenders !
JAL Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 both blackstock and Cox out on suspention. they may have trouble scoring, but then again they are playing vs rovers Anyone can score against this Rovers team unless that is they are really bad.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 They still have Billy Sharp though....I predict this will be a tough test, regardless of their poor performance the other day.
BRFC1995 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 failure to win and the table starts to look a little dire 8 teams 1 win or even a draw away from going above us staring straight at mid-table. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE SORT OUR F'ING DEFENCE OUT
