G Somerset Rover Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Atleast Black has addressed that we need pace on the wing. Olsson should do well tonight. Not really - he spent the whole of Saturday defending in a 4-4-2 let alone in a 3-5-2 tonight.

SharrockDownSouth Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Not sure Black has many other options right now. A 4-5-1 would seem a better option away from home? Givet at LB, Gomes as impact sub, actual winger on right wing?
TBTF Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 FFS!!!!!!! What a God awful team selection. Are we really sure that Steve Kean has left or is this some big pantomime that were being played out to? Absolutely NO WIDTH yet again. Even if it's 3-5-2 Olsson and whoever else will spend the whole evening defending. Where's Vuckevic? Henley? Rochina? If its 3-5-1-1 then where the hell is Formica playing as surely Orr will be right wing back and Olsson left.??/
Doug Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I fear the worst with that line up. 3 centre halves playing.....2's usually bad enough, it'll be like the keystone cops everytime they attack. Is it on Radio Lancs?
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Forest one striker,Rovers three central defenders it does not make sense. Surely Givet is left back ? Though I would have played Henley at left back - surely we can't complain when it looks like he has pushed Olsson into left midfield - which many on here have been asking for ?
Josh Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Surely Givet is left back ? Cryer seems to think it's 3 at the back from what he's heard. I remember we played 3 at the back at home to Wigan and that was God awful
iBL4cKBuRn Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Gotta admit this is a shocking line up,. thought he might take lowe out etc. can't see anything here for us, disappointed with what I see.
ABBEY Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 FRIGGING ORR STARTING AGAINGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 What's Lowe gotta do to get dropped? Who would you have played in centre midfield alongside the ultra slow Murphy ?
davulsukur Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Gotta admit this is a shocking line up,. thought he might take lowe out etc. can't see anything here for us, disappointed with what I see. What line up were you expecting?
Mercer Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Might as well have kept Kean ! Black has shown no imagination and needs, IMO, to feck off taking Hendry with him.
andymcg06 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Might as well have kept Kean ! We didn't sack him in the first place ...
iBL4cKBuRn Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Lowe is right side again isn't he? & we need need better wingers, they are what wins this division imo. Nunes looked great when coming on, hand him a start I think. Each to their own though. it is 3 at the back by the way not 4-4-2

davulsukur Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 If Lowe is out wide then fair enough its a stupid thing to do but I imagine he is in the middle with Murphy and Formica and Olsson are out wide.
arefjord Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Does anyone have a radio stream link? Up the Rovers!
bazza Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Might as well have kept Kean ! Good grief, my friend. Give the caretaker a chance FFS I would be interested to find out what starting line-up and formation, say, 10 posters on here would pick. I bet there would be no agreement.

If it is 4-4-2 then surely Formica is on the right wing, otherwise it's Formica and Murphy in central midfield.
RoverRich Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 To be fair Lowe is probably the best midfielder we have to replace Etuhu as he is probably the most similar to how he plays with Dunn being most similar to Murphy. At least he is being played in his supposedly natural position of centre midfielder. Not condoning his inclusion as I don't believe he has done enough to warrant a place in the team, however it does highlight a lack of options for the middle of the park. This team should allow Olsson to bomb forward hopefully and the three centre backs (if that is the case) might make us a bit more solid. I'll give it a chance and see how it goes before making up my mind as to this team.
Clitherover Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 I'm guessing Etuhu is injured?, either that or Black is an absolute muppet.
