[Archived] Booing Players

Recommended Posts

Radio did say the was Booing when entering the pitch. Considering he can't be arssed to win the ball back he's just lost and his wage packet I'd say its fair enough. You pay your money to watch a game not some half arssed keanite who has slagged us of in the past and can't be bothered. Maybe when he puts some effort in people will lau off him.

The same player that slagged us off to no end under Sam? The same one that puts in ZERO effort? That one? Yeah boo him all you like lads.

Zero effort? He was always hungry to receive the ball, he's just underperformed on the ball. N'Zonzi didn't get booed for not tracking back.

As a side note it was good some of the fans counteracted the booing by clapping him.

I don't agree with booing him when he's already been dropped to the bench.

I think it was justified in previous games before he was dropped. He was the most lazy and uncommitted player despite being captain and highest paid.

Ideally he has had the kick up the backside he needs to start performing.

Anybody see those lads "talking" to Orr from the front of the Riverside just before the second half? Anybody witness the, ahem, exchange? It didn't seem overly cordial. Sorry if this is not strictly on the booing issue but I thought it was closely allied.

Really doing the club proud.

Well Orr hasn't done the club proud and is highly unlikely to do so.

He tries and is an average player at this level. makes mistakes, does some decent things. Got a decent cross on him (when he doesn't fall on his backside like tonight).

Do you think people going and having those exchanges are warranted?

I wouldn't say warranted but entirely understandable following his pathetic interview after the Wigan game, lack of ability and general smug air of look at me I've landed on my feet here.

I agree he can cross a ball but he didn't do it tonight and has possibly done it about 3 times ever. That's because he ain't fit enough or quick enough to get in position to do it regularly and you wonder at the mentality when he got in position (other than when he fell over) and then spooned a "cross" in with his left foot!

OK I'll come clean - I just can't warm to the man. You'd never have guessed like.

I have to admire your ability to not get completely and utterly dismayed by a succession of abject home performances though! What's your secret?

Foreign lovers.

I don't think braddock is making himself out to be better than anyone here, he's just playing the role of the villain to get us united and behind the team. If he has to be seen as a hypocrite to do it, he will do it, because Blackburn Rovers is more important to him than his reputation.

90% of his posts consist of him slagging off Rovers fans so he does make himself out to be better than the rest.

What reputation? He was a Keanwit last season and is continuing along the same merry path this one.

However, I beg people not to boo Murphy------Venkys will make him manager for revenge purposes.

NZonzi was equally infuriating. I never boo'd him but felt like it on many occasions. The difference was that NZonzi had a really cool foreign name hur-hur-hur.

Murphy....HA! If that was 'hungry' then Dunny's Brazilian. He's underperformed on and off the ball all season. As I said, given his remarks about us, fans have every right to boo him regardless of how he plays tbh. He slags us off, we have a right to slag him off.

The booing of Murphy as he entered the field was an absolute disgrace. I was actually ashamed of the section of our support - no wonder there is so much division amongst the fans.

Pathetic isn't it? That minority of bellends are going to give us a horrible reputation.

Agree, I cringed massively when I heard it. Some of our fans are unbelievably stupid.

It's such a small minority, but as with most things that minority seem to get most of the attention.

I took a few impartial friends to a game and there were three of these idiots a few rows in front, at it all game. Whenever we talk about that game now they always mention those three. Unfortunately that's pretty much formed their view of Rovers fans, despite it only being three out of hundreds in our near vacinity. Needless to say I haven't persuaded them to come again.

You can kind of understand a boo if a player is being taken off after being poor, but not one coming on.

Especially after he's already been dropped. Everyone knows he's a better player than he's shown so far, but people need to get off his back and let him try to rediscover his form.

Agreed - he played badly, got boo-ed, got dropped. Now he needs to be given a chance to play better when he comes on.

If he carrys on where he left off.....then he deserves it

Really? Other clubs don't boo their players just because they're not playing well. How is it meant to help?
