Of course he is.

The whole effing club stinks and I'm sick to the death of it. If mcKinley is appointed then that's me out, and I'd imagine thousands more. Go on Shebby, Venkys, he who can't be named, whoever the heck is running the show - i dare you.

I am behind you 100% on this, would extend the farce of the previous two years, if he is appointed then there is something truly rotten at Ewood.

We need to hound venkys out. All focus should be turned to the Venkys if this happens and especially MRS D !

Well i have my season ticket so i will carry on until the end of the season, if McKinley is going to be the manager he won't get us promoted, fans will leave and that will be me at the end of the season. Game over.

The more I think about it, if McKinley is our next manager, I will actually be done with Rovers. Been looking to follow a German side since I arrived over here and Hertha Berlin tickets are as low as €10, max. €25, I think.

They play in blue and white, at least.

Told you so....

Feel free to slate me now all those who didn't believe me.

Shebby Singh is after a puppet. FULL STOP.

Whats the 'told you so' about??

Did you call the McKinley approach?? Cant believe he is even being considered!!

Shebby can't get Sherwood. No-one can agree on Holloway.

Mr's D gets fed up, asks some of her advisors for help and pulls McKinlay out of the hat.

In a last ditch attempt to save face Shebby contacts Shearer too late in the day.

That fits in with the order of rumours over the last 7 days.

Ben Smith who was formely of The Times, now works for the BBC has tweeted the following on McKinlay:

"Fulham reject Blackburn's approach for Billy McKinlay. Many good judges rate him as one of the brightest young coaches in the game."

They said the same about Kean and look how that turned out. We need experience as it's promotion or bust, it's not the time for a novice.

Crown Prosecution Service already aware of him... He'll fit right in!

The same was claimed about Kean at the time. The similarities are stunning and add to that they are pals......

glen mullan@glen9mullan

I'd put McKinlay in the Holloway column as one that wont be happening

Direct from Glen's source(s) last night. I'm hoping Shebby flapped around for McKinley, couldn't get him and has just given the job to Shearer instead. Perhaps the rejection happened before or during the weekend. If not, then Shebby has been telling porkies. Not criticising Glen himself here because I support his efforts overall. (he has tweeted recently sounding a bit keaned off)

Will no-one rid me of this turbulent pundit?

Derek Shaw is owned by Holloway ????? think you are confused mate, Shaw is Agnew's puppet, you remember him don't you , runs the Kean fan club and did a go job with the war on supporters thing, his company ran the Kean PR campaign under the guise of Rovers PR

What on earth are you on about? Shaw isn't anybody's puppet. I agree about Agnew though but I think you're misinformed. Yes, Agnew helped him get a job and although he was behind Kean, but now he's just trying to appoint a decent manager.

Some people said I was talking rubbish and said let's judge Shebby when he tries to get somebody. Well, it happened and he was after a puppet after all. Feel free to disagree though.

We will agree to differ and time will tell. Lets just hope Derek doesn't fancy Darren Ferguson again

Lets get the facts straight. McKinlay ISN'T the manager yet.

Its obvious that its a four horse race between

Sherwood, Shearer, Holloway and McKinlay.

I know who I'd want, but if its one of the others I'm not going to 'never return to Ewood' or 'Throw my season ticket on the pitch' or 'Start supporting Hertha Berlin'.

Any manager HAS to be judged on results and results alone.

If one of those four comes in, gets the team playing well and gets us promoted, I honestly won't care if hes a Shebbyite, a Agnew pick or even a mate of Kean.

Football is all about RESULTS!

Rarely have I been so underwhelmed by a potential managerial appointment.

IMV, McKinlay will empty the stadium quicker than Kean. Wednesday night's gate will be interesting as will the reception for McKinlay.

IMO, the penny never seems to drop with these feckers - clueless.

Rover and out for me.

Sad times.

According to Cryer and whatever twitter accounts I gleaned off the Internet, it seems that Billy McKinley is not Shebby Singh's choice. Shebby Singh seems to want another manager (but no one knows who), but they went ahead and approached Fulham anyway because they are basically visiting everyone on their shortlist before finally settling on Holloway if the other mystery guy decides not to accept (but they seem confident he will accept by Wednesday). That's why both Glen Mullan and Andrew Cryer seem very confident that McKinley wouldn't get the job - there's Holloway above McKinley, and Shebby Singh's mysterious guy.

Of course I could be wrong and over-reading stuff, but doesn't matter.

No one has been appointed yet in fairness...you cant really say 'told you so' just yet...

Really dont want McKinley, if he does get it i will have my mind up on Shebby which i have reserved since he got here..why bust a gut to unsettle Coco then appoint a similar candidate to succeed him...would make no sense knowing how hated kean was!

I sure i remember McKinlay scoring a real great long range goal in his 1st or 2nd season for us as well as being one of the best anchorman type players we have had before going onto being the Grella of his day.

Absolutely transparent now that whoever made the decision to approach him for manager is just after another cheap yes man, i suspect this is more likely to be mirs Ds decision more than Shebby's, his connections to Kean(and i bet SEM) mean he shouldn't even be under consideration(regardless of supessed potential) unless mrs D just wants to prove yet again the contempt she holds towards the fans.
