  1. 1. Which of the following managers would you accept

Shame nobody is prepared to risk Mike Newell as number 1 he would be my number 1 choice for sure!! (Shearer can be his number 2!!).

And who will he sign if agents wont deal with him?

Newell is a great man manager, wont take any prisoners, but would have to be at best a number 2

This from the action group website ; Statement from Shebby Singh full story here http://www.brfcactio...-club-response/

“This is for all fans – I am deeply saddened and shocked by the persecution of former players whose names have been linked as potential managers of this club. It is a culture shock for me as everywhere in the world, former players are lauded for their contributions and achievements. On the choice of a new manager, it is now time for contemplation as due process is carried out”.

Truly amazing, becuase a player has been a good servant to the club he deserves a managerial job, maybe its a culture shock everywhere else in the world but in England it dont matter a crap buddy.

In that respect give Simon Garner the job, at least he would have a pint with us after the match.

Whoever is chosen deserves a fair crack. Anyone chanting \ booing and cancelling season tickets is to me unfair and irrational.

I'm a little disgusted at the McKinley link, but I'll give him a chance - give them rope and either use it to pull us, or hang themselves.

I want the next manager of Blackburn Rovers to have earnt the opportunity to be in charge of our club. I don't feel that the likes of Black, McKinlay, Sherwood, Shearer, Ali etc. fit into that category. I could easily live with Holloway, Grayson, McCarthy, OGS and any number of the proven managers mentioned being in charge of our club. I would even get behind a wildcard like Dickov or Hill because they have managed on a shoestring and are obviously connected to the club. I'm not interested in any reserve team coaches or assistant managers. We've had our fair share of those and they just don't cut the mustard at Ewood.

Eh? Why's he shocked and saddened by basic common sense? He's not a manager, that's the problem! Now's not the time for experimentation with someone who "may turn into the next Mourinho". Now's the time to get the club back up with someone who has been there and done it so we aren't saddled with a ton of debt that we can't possibly pay in this division. If you think that manager won't do quite as well in the Premier League then give him a chance and if it doesn't work out, move on.

Deary deary me.

We've gone from the class and professionalism of John Williams and Tom Finn to this?

Holloway is the perfect man for this job with the current situation. Out spoken about issues and will win the fans back. He would also get this group of players passion back.

I think he is the best compromise. Not the best defensively, but his appointment would at least make sense...that point itself makes it unlikely though.

If just being a former player is the key quality than why not Hakan Unsal as manager.

Shebby, for goodness sake. Nobody is 'persecuting' former players, they are just aware of the obvious fact that hiring one with no managerial experience right now is tantamount to suicide in the position the club is in. There is a lot more to consider about a manager than whether they used to play for us. If you can't see that, we have a serious, serious problem which will only get worse.

If you're so determined to hire an ex-player, get one with a good managerial record. The only candidates therefore are Mark Hughes (employed, for now, by a Premiership club) and Simon Grayson. Arguably Newell.

How persecution has changed, the Jews in Egypt, The Christians in Rome, The people in African and Asian countries that have been or are still under dictators hell bent on seizing more power. And now the players at Blackburn Rovers the poor sods getting overpaid for being crap must be just as bad as the holocaust for them. My heart bleeds

no chance of this ending well and all I can say is this now has another 4 weeks of messing around written all over it - what singh doesnt understand is that the only ex player he could get to appease fans would be shearer not mckinley personally I want an experienced manager but there is no chance of that happening with shebby here

venkys are a joke, singh is a clown and shaw and agnew are both morons!!!

At least it is now in the open - the bespectacled tw@t wants any former player in as manager because he thinks it will please the fanbase.

No consideration of experience, or ability, just a blatant PR exercise to try to win over disgruntled supporters.

What a joke.

It seems experience is a negative, I will allow you to come to your own conclusion why that is.

Whilst Shebby is in the building,no self respecting manager will touch the job.Singh will become as big a problem as Kean was.The indulgence in signing Rhodes and not knowing how to play him speaks volumes.Crass, amateurish, and ultimately destructive
