Shearer and Sherwood i can stomach club legends who would help the profile of club and maybe good managers despite the lack of experience.

Billy mckinaly never the most popular of players low profile and links to Kean (Even if the links are just coincidence unfortunatly they are there) we are not persecuting former players Just not wanting this one. I'm sure if shearer or sherwood got the job we would get behind them.

We are no longer a football club but instead a circus. Today's events have confirmed that.

That statement bu Shebby is frankly a disgrace. How dare he say that fans are "persecuting" former players. Nothing of the sort is happening, we love Shearer/Sherwood for what they did on the pitch, they are club legends, but it is right for people to question appointing them as manager due to their lack of experience, even then people were willing to accept them. So to disrespect fans in the manner that Shebby has by saying that what we are doing is against "football culture" is disgraceful, I can guarantee you that when Sir Alex steps down as United manager, their fans won't want Kean or Bruce as example. That doesn't mean that they are persecuting them, they will still be United legend who their fans respect for what they did on the pitch.

Hi Kamy,

Do you have any reason to believe that during this time of reflection Shebby will actually change his approach at all? Or can we be prepared for another former player linked?

Seems that he has been shocked by the fans reaction today. Whether it is enough to get him to change mind i am not so sure.

Hopefully Singh has had the wake up call he needed if he's having a re-think on McKinley.

But surely, if his magic formula was:

"(Ex Player) + (Long Term Potential) x (Unite the Fans)"

Surely the "=" was this guy... (on our left)

It is absolutely clear that we aren't going to get a proper manager. We are a sick joke or a lunatics play thing.

I hope Shebby does read this site because I have a message for him.

Mr Singh, if you are hell-bent on employing a former player with very little experience, steer clear of McKinlay. He won't set our hearts and minds on fire, he will just create fear and paranoia. People will stay away in droves and we genuinely won't give the poor guy a chance. He hasn't done anything wrong but in our eyes he is inferior to the likes of other former players such as Grayson, Dickov and Hill and there is a worrying connection to Steve Kean that many will not ignore.

If you lack common sense and are 100% going down this route of employing any old ex-player, just employ Tugay with someone like Salgado or Craig Short as his number two. We will be able to see the sense in that, a mixture of a legendary ex-player with flair and a respected individual with defensive know-how. It will even cover up the sheer lunacy in regards to what would qualify someone (in your eyes) for the managers role at our club.

At the moment I am almost ashamed to be a Rovers fan. I chose to support this team through thick and thin and you and your owners/bosses (whatever or whoever they are) are making things almost impossible for us loyal fans. You are one important decision away from unifying the club or making it implode. So please, get a frigging grip of reality or get out of our club.

Down and down we go. How can a Keanwit like Singh be given this much power? He didn't even sack Kean like he keeps alluding to. Venkys you are a keaning disgrace to this football club, you are not wanted or welcome here. Absolutely disgusted with the state of BRFC, I just hope there is something left of it when they finally Kean off.

You shouldn't mention McKinlay in the same breath as Sherwood and Shearer. He wasn't fit to lace their boots!

Exactly. All this says to me is that this MAN isn't MAN enough to make a decision. If you're going for experience, then get experience (e.g. Curbishley) if you're going for a big name then get Big Al...

Mckinlay is neither.

I thought as much. I'm just genuinely out of ideas who the next former player turned manager could be? Perhaps Tugay, Salgado?

Whilst the circus continues the team continues to suffer under Black, who I believe talks a lot of sense but doesn't produce on the pitch. We're crying out for an experienced man to come in and drag us out of our slumber, is it that difficult to understand?!

Exactly, once again the levels of amateurishness shine through. I thought we were told BRAG were not offering opinions on managers or being consulted?

This is simply not working on so many levels.

We are not offering our opinions on managers or being consulted about candidates.

We simply pointed out the response from the supporter base, that is the supporters general opinion not our personal ones and encouraged him to read forum boards to gauge the wider fan opinion.

The alternative was to allow him to go ahead and appoint an unproven manager such as Billy Mckinlay, by ignoring the supporters concerns. Is this what was preferable for you?

As an elected supporters body, who have been inundated with supporters concerns all day, we passed these concerns on, as this is what we do.

The fans reaction should have zero bearing on any decision, truly amazing. What happens if McKinley goes on to be a success elsewhere and we end up with a dud? Do we chant for ourselves out?

It's taken until today to realise this? If Shebby bothered to even scan these pages he'd soon see that the general consensus is the fans want a experienced manager who can be trusted to look after the best interests of the club.

Something tells me Shebby thinks he can fill these boots and the club need only employ a young coach to be the face of operations.

At this stage if i was Shebby i would pay a minimal fee to secure the short term services of Tony Parks or somebody the fans trust until an appointment is made (i respect Black as a coach but he unfortunately is linked too closely to Kean and is not what we need). But Shebby isn't me so this own't happen. mIts not that hard surely!!!
