Apologies Sas wires crossed mate

When I said Tony I didn't mean yourself but an ex member called Tony Gales Mic who is rumoured to be back as SydneyRover

Confusing stuff eh!

I wonder what happened to Tony Gales Mic.

What made the big girls blouse throw his toys out of the pram, or was he banned?

He's banned

You may want to play down 'the last two years' taking into account duplicate accounts aren't allowed especially if you were banned

Tread carefully 'Tony'

Glad you you seem to have given 'Syd' the benefit of the doubt - I think the MB is better for his inputs !

Let me know how Steve Kean's job prospects are looking at the moment.

What if Venky's were to sack him after a year? No job prospects but you get a £x million payout.

Sherwood is still young in a managerial sense and the Rovers job is very high risk (in the sense promotion or bust), hence why he may not be interested. Only he know the reasons why.

You mean "millionaire" Steve Kean? Steve "set for life" Kean?

He was only a coach before he joined us - and an unemployed, previously Championship coach at that.

He'll easily find another coaching job somewhere else. His career won't be any worse than when he joined us.

Even at the risk of losing your most recent appointment, AVB, it's clear he wants his own man in, Levy knows he needs to keep the crew happy or face a possible mutiny.

Either that or Levy is a ruthless, money grabbing **** who would sell his own mother given the opportunity and knows he can make a pretty penny out of all this.

And there in lies the rub. We want the next Mourinho/AVB and AVB don't want Tim there and yet we think he's the next AVB? Mourinho was never 'scared of others abilities as he employed AVB for ages and at every club he went to. One could then assume him and AVB have very similiar values and believes. And yet AVB the man seems not bothered if our supposed next AVB leaves. Mmmm.

Quite a few Spurs fans in my office – they really don’t rate Sherwood at all – they can’t really say what he has achieved or what he really does. Also think he is outspoken in an inappropriate way which perhaps lends itself to not being suitable to a manager and controlling players.

Email below I received on him……

To be honest he’s not even in the 1st team coaching staff so not really sure why he is being touted so much – he wanted the Director of Football role but don’t think Levy will give him that power –currently looking after the development and kids teams so he has gamble written all over him. Levy wouldn’t mind him to stay as they get on well but in all honestly is not too bothered about him leaving either unlike what is being reported in the press.

Steve Keans the next Alex Ferguson, he's doing a great job, never under-estimate the power of agents. who on earth do you think fed our journos all there stories? Players and clubs?

Either that or Levy is a ruthless, money grabbing **** who would sell his own mother given the opportunity and knows he can make a pretty penny out of all this.

Perhaps Levy sees a chance to claw back some of the money he's wasted on the likes of Bentley over the years???

Lets just get Mick McCarthy and be done with it.

No-one out there with a better record in the Championship.

.........and then sack him when we get promoted because there is only one other with a worse record than him in the Premiership.

"Having romped to the Championship title the season before, few could have seriously predicted the plight Mick McCarthy's men would find themselves in as another campaign degenerated into farce"

NO. THANKS

Am i missing somthing with Freedman?, of all the names been mentioned hes prob the most uninspiring, what exactly has he done that is signifying to some that he has potential to be a very good manager(or even just a good one).

This isn't a criticism, i just don't understand where the interest in him is coming from, his only selling points seem to be that he'd be cheap and easy to control(whoops just answered my own question!)

Cryer seems VERY negative about the whole situation right now. Usually he offers the fans some hope, but as per his article earlier, he believes everyone at Ewood is in a state of disarray right now and believes the Sherwood deal to be way off from happening.

At a guess it would seem that they've chucked all of their eggs in the Sherwood basket, but have no idea how to pull it off. If they cannot land him then what will their next option think of being second choice?

This is going to rumble on IMO, it's definitely going to be Black (if he doesn't walk) in charge against Derby, I'm certain of it.

No need, just put him on a one year rolling contract. With past experience they'd be stupid to put anyone on a long term contract without proof it's going to work out.

Agreed. A one year rolling contract is what Venky's should be looking to offer any manager plus a bonus if promotion is achieved. This may put off some managers as they want the security, but some managers will likely be open to this sort of deal as it let's them get out if it goes wrong or if they want a new challenge. From the owners perspective it will make it easier for them replace the manager should they wish.

yea cos and he(and any other experienced manager) would just agree to that contract!!!

I think you would be surprised how many would be interested in that sort of deal.

Look at it from their perspective, if they do a good job then the manager can either commit to another season if they are happy, or if they are interested in a new challenge go elsewhere without anything to stop them. If it's a disaster then they can walk away with their reputation largely intact, saying that a year wasn't long enough to make their mark on team. With all the bad rep we have gotten over the past two years it would be difficult for a manager to get much blame for any failings.
