  1. 1. Which of the following managers would you accept

So the problem is Shebby now not the owners?

From what I gather, the owners are desperate to appease fans but remain naive in their actions. Shebby was great when he came in but he's a real problem in this manager hunt, make no mistake about it. He wants to be the puppet master and some people are quite happy to let him pull their strings. He IS the reason we haven't got a man in yet, I know that for a fact. Feel sorry for Derek Shaw, he has it tough.

Absolutely.

IMO, relationship too cosy and unhealthy. Some find a whiff of power too intoxicating.

John Williams wouldn't have allowed it and football matters were not up for discussion.

I agree, whilst I respect the BRAG and all the people who are part of it and don't think they deserved to be bad mouthed as some fans have done in the past, it astounds me how they are all Die Hard Shebites ;).

Shebby came in he gave people hope, he gave Kean a target he didn't meet and then said he wasn't getting fired. So what actually has he actually done? Put pressure on Kean to make him resign? Or simply followed a script to keep the fans on his side and from getting more unstable?

"Blackburn, Bolton, rumours crop up all the time. But I'm not that bothered about them. I'm absolutely certain I will see out the season here (with Molde), I can promise that."

This doesn't sound like a refusal to me, and it lines up with previous predictioons that he will see out the Norwegian season before making any move.

If this is the decision, then yes, Rovers will appear to delay and fiddle around for the next couple of weeks.

The alternative scenario is internal conflict, indecision and confusion, which for obvious reasons also cannot be ruled out.

The rumour was the Kean wanted Cox - Shebby didn't think he was good enough and we eventually pushed the boat out and paid £8m for Rhodes. Could something similar be happening with the manager - where Shaw etc are recomending safe candidates whereas Shebby is shooting for what he believes to be the very best we can get ?

Possibly DMTP but apparently Sherwood is his main choice.....maybe he was told to make sure the fans come back and to try and go for a former player to achieve this.

Then Shearer isn't considered and he couldn't get Sherwood so is now delaying the process by taking his time, trying to get an established name.....doubtful I suppose.

The big question currently: is Shebby running the recruitment show or are the brothers?

If Shebby, what if any is the influence of the PNE duo?

If the bros, are old nameless friendships in play? In Zurich?

Whoever gets the gig of course has to pass muster with the dame of Pune.

Now if you are a serious mid-ranking manager with career aspirations, will the rapidly disappearing wonga be enough to persuade you to come to Ewood especially as we have a six square wheeled bicycle of a squad?

If you are a heavy hitter, will Shebby and the loons get out of your way and open whatever purse is left?

Is the real job description for an unproven but promising yes man so Shebby can play interventionist Director of Football?

Still would be better than Kean but then again watch for an agent who appears to be independent but isn't....

My cynicisn will be misplaced if Rijkard walks into Brockhall. For that to happen, I'd suggest get him signed up PDQ and certainly before defeat at Hillsborough leaves us closer to a relegation place than automatic promotion (go look at the table).

Just a thought and excuse me for being cynical, but where is the pressure from the action group for the appointment of a capable manager? Fantastic in trying to get Kean out and even now in trying to build bridges, but at what cost?

There is never a bad word said about Shebby Singh......hmmm.....

The big question currently: is Shebby running the recruitment show or are the brothers? From what I know joint process between Shaw and Singh to be rubber stamped by the owners.

If Shebby, what if any is the influence of the PNE duo? Shaw has quite a good relationship with Mrs. D, so he has some influence...

If you are a heavy hitter, will Shebby and the loons get out of your way and open whatever purse is left? We won't get a heavy hitter with Shebby around, no chance.

As I asked on twitter .. You know because...? It's not snowing tha knows! If you know say ... If you don't shut up.

My point is - things are happening - they are not just sat about, not talking to people..... they are doing what people would expect, Bolton & Burnley are not stealing a march on us, thats for sure!

Love your optimism.

Think we will appoint last.

I agree - I also think Sherwood is his target. For whatever reason he thinks he is the best person for the job - his experience with the youth set up seem to tick one of the boxes to develop players (which is essential for a club our size), he is an ex-player which should be fairly popular with the fans (another box ticked) - unfortunately we don't know how good a manager he will make which makes him a considerable risk. We are possibly in a position where we can indulge the odd mistake by the new manager and get away with it - and the experience gained would then stand the new manager well for (hopefully) our return to the Premiership. However - I would have preferred somebody like OGS who at least has some management experience rather than a complete rookie. Having said that Kendall was a complete rookie - but wow what a gamble for the club when we have so much financially resting on getting back in the Premiership.

Always found the Shebby love-in to be an odd one.

Guy's done nothing but feed the fans what they want to hear, only to contradict himself somewhere else.

Did he force Kean out? Or did Kean see an opportunity and take it?

What a laughing stock we've become when our future hinges on a Malaysian football pundit who was a joke even in his own country. That interview in the Daily Mail only confirms it.

All you need to do is look at what has happened previously and swap Steve Kean for Shebby Singh. Do not be fooled by the whole Sherwood saga. He is not coming to Ewood and never was. Hopefully, because people are starting to wake up to Shebby Singh, he will appoint the right person for the job, almost as a way of saying I told you so. I am genuinely hoping that's what this will revert to.
