We need a mod that can set a poll up to gauge the fans happiness with the main names being banded about – You never know it could even sway the bosses if they are stuck between 2.

So simple poll if someone could set it up please – would you be happy with the appointment of:

Sherwood – Yes / No

Holloway – Yes / No

Shearer – Yes / No

Ole Gunnar – Yes / No

McCarthy – Yes / No

Eric Black – Yes / No

Roy Keane – Yes / No

Judan Ali – Yes / No

Put it down to me being on my first day back at work

I think he's too gung ho, we need someone who can make us solid again. His reputation was built at Blackpool and to a lesser extent Plymouth, but I don't think he can cut it at the top level. At Leicester he was an absolute disaster. If he gets Blackpool up and keeps them up then I will most certainly have a re-think. But I do think he has a bit of a cult following around him that perhaps does blind people to his failings.

I agree , he has over achieved at Blackpool beyond the owners and his own expectations ....

Take him out of that scenario ,and into the pressure cooker of Ewood Park .. ,

I can see another Leicester .

Also , think he has his head screwed on and doubt he would join us , especially with our crazy owners .

Think Rovers shortlist is Sherwood, Holloway, OLS, Robinson and Hill.

The main reason for all the speculation and unrest is that the people involved in the process are actually keeping a pretty low profile and not releasing names, hence we are talking about a shortlist that is in fact guesswork by a combination of fans and journalists...

But if Holloway is to be involved then i suspect he will want a similar deal to that he has with Blackpool and the one Harry had with Portsmouth, ie a cut of transfer fees. Based on their experiences so far would you expect the Venkys to be enthusiastic about somebody else having an interest in transfer dealings?

I had a chuckle at that. I knew he could play centrally in addition to the flanks and I don't train him every flipping day! Smelling something once more...he can't be any worse out wide than Formica and Lowe have been this season, that's for sure.

Nothing wrong with that provided it is part of a set of defined objectives and based upon net transfer trading ie would only be payable if other specific objectives achieved in relation to league position, performance etc.

What is wrong with rewarding managers for unearthing and developing uncut gems that the club then sell on for big profit - as you could see Blackpool doing with Paul Ince.

This is mind-blowing. How on earth do journalists not hold managers to account in press conferences when they make bizarre claims like this?

Vuckevic is an experienced international player, bought for a significant sum of money and (presumably) paid handsomely by the club - and our assistant manager of almost 10 months doesn't know where he plays.

Had Kean been removed at the end of last season this delay would've been during close season and less of a problem.

Going off recent performances and the slide down the table, the new man is going to need time to sort it out, therefore every day that goes by without apparent progress is damaging.

The possibility that the decision makers are still split as to the next move is worrying.

Its a total shambles as is everything associated with Venkys. In their whole time, they've only made one quick decision-------to sack Sam.

I reckon these delaying tactics are to see if OGS will come after their season has finished. He wont and then it will continue on for a few more weeks then Black will be announced as boss until the end of the season.

I think the delay is trying to negotiate compensation for Sherwood plus two other Spurs coaches. Tottenham would also have to find replacements themselves. Sherwood being Shebbys preferred pick will have dominated the process but is also the most complicated of the lot hence the time delay.

Whoever set up the poll is being mischievous to put Shebby's name up there lol.

Which is why there has to be something still fishy going on when you compare the manager/player processes.
