the most important thing for me is that the appointment is made from outside that club..

but i would give the next manager a fair chance who ever that is.

not sure "Which of the following managers would you accept" is the right wording,

i accepted Judan, as i don't know anything about him!!, could be like arsenal getting AW 15 years ago. I also think theirs prob 15% luck(Variables outside of a managers control) decides if a manager is a success or not..

Rijkard has had three club jobs, and was sacked from two of them.

The one he did well in was the one where he had Xavi, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Messi, Guily, Puyol, and Eto'o in the team.

Hhhhmmmmmm...

....and Pep Guardiola to lean on with knowledge of all of La Masia players.

Rijkaard would be an expensive disaster.

He's probably number one choice then.

Let's face it, capability seems a minor attribute to consider when Venky's are making an appointment.

The Sherwood thing is only being considered because of his links with the 1995 team. Venky's only want to be popular, they don't really give a Kean about the team.

I just wish they'd see sense and put the club up for sale. I dread to think what our balance sheet currently looks like.

Eric Black, must be worse than Kean:

"“I want to see Simon in the international team. “I hear he plays in a different position and, probably my ignorance but Ididn’t know he played in a lot different position."

Too bloody right it's your ignorance. You're paid to know this stuff. Shall we start from the back? Robinson is the goalkeeper......

Honestly Paul, you really couldn't make this stuff up.

It's shocking and inexcusable, but I guess we should be used to this sort of thing now. I'm sick of the incompetence that flows through this club.

Isn't Simon in the Montenegro national team and has been all through his rovers tenure?

He may even have more playing time for them than us to date. I'd also ask if Black watches the england team play as Simon did rather well in that match.

EDIT: my bad

Montenegrin, not Serbian. And yes he has.

You know, at the end, Kean Out and boycotts worked. Time to continue the same and force Venkys to leave. If they continue to wait around or bring in another stink bomb of a manager, kill all ticket sales and starve them until they have no choice but to leave.

Oh and thanks to the Walker Trust for giving Jack's dream away to these people, really can't mention this enough. At the end of the day, Venkys are just fools - but the Trust led us to the slaughterhouse.

A few observations -

1. It has gone very quiet - which either means they are getting on with things in the background (as they should) - or nothing is happening (to be honest I can't believe that). I wonder whether anyone really knows who is favourite - which is demonstrated by ITK's and the papers saying different managers are front runners.

2. I think the lack of a consensus on this MB shows how difficult a job they have got - each prospective candidate has their plus and minus points - there aint a perfect fit.

3. I just wish people who say they know who this "big name" manager is, would just give us a name rather than teasing. To be honest there are that many names out there - can't see what difference it would make to add another name. Also - it gives the opportunity for the ITK's to actually come good on something for once.

I don't understand how anybody could reject any of them. In what position would they do such a thing? There are many appointments from that list I would disagree with but as I'm unaware of how to reject them I've been unable to select anything but every manager named in the options as I would still be a fan and supporter of the club regardless of who was appointed, albeit with varied emotions.

Yes, the trust did sell us but I think it's SK & JA you have to thank for Venkys fella.

I agree with that, not many decent/suitable options out there.

Another non story by the gazette - what do they expect him to do whilst he is still employed?? lol

They sound worried like the examiner did over Rhodes - dismissing without any quotes from the actual man in question

You just sense that frustration is growing by the day.

The euphoria that surrounded Kean's departure has long since gone.

A glorious opportunity for the club to wipe the slate clean and reconnect with its lost / disillusioned supporters has disappeared virtually into the distance.

It's all very sad but can't say that I am surprised how this is turning out.

the statement from Black just about sums up the kean poor management at Rovers over the past 20 months or so..total idiots way out of their depth for a caretaker previously assistant to come out with that proves that no way should he be given the roll full time

  • Moderation Lead

He resigned September 28th, and now he's still not been replaced

(the cynic in me tells me he has, but the club won't announce Black for a bit yet).

I'd bet my house on Bolton and Burnley having a new manager in place before we do.

Shambolic as ever from the chicken farmers.
