Cannot understand for the life of me why we are continuing with Sherwood, surely the deadline has passed for that one now?

Pull your finger out Shebby!

3 weeks almost gone now. and we are NOWHERE STILL!!!

Shebby needs to face it, Levy will not let Sherwood leave and Sherwood wont force it. so WALK AWAY!!!

It is ridiculous we are persisting so much for Sherwood, if he was the outstanding candidate I would understand, but why is that idiot Shebby going balls out for someone who has never managed before?

I think I know why - they care less about making a considered and careful appointment, and more about a publicity stunt to get the fans back onside again.

Unfortunately it seems many here would fall for it.

"Rovers though are believed to have spoken to several other potential managers since last week and have other options should their attempts to talk to Sherwood ultimately fail."

So please stop being hysterical......Shebby Singh will walk away eventually if he fails, and when he does, he already has other options in place. Unless you rather believe Earl's contact than Andy Cryer (don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at Earl, and I think he's being sincere in passing us information), of course.

Proof??

I don't see you asking for proof regarding the other posts that claim Shebby Singh is a power-hungry kean wanting a puppet and blocking moves on Mick McCarthy and Ian Holloway. If he really wants a puppet to control, I doubt Sherwood would be his choice.

"eventually" being the operative word.

We've had all the weeks before Keans eventually resignation when we knew he was on his way, plus the THREE WEEKS until his actual resignation, and we're still not much closer to an appointment.

Your pro Shebby stance is a bit ridiculous. The man's an idiot.

Has he issued a statement saying he isn't? His silence talks especially as Blackpool's local paper is pushing for him to stay. Do you think they haven't asked him?

Im unsure they have asked him... be interesting to see what he has to say in his pre match press conference. Which im guessing is tomorrow.

I'm not pro-Shebby, but I do believe everyone overreacting and claiming that Shebby Singh wants a yes-man, is blocking moves for McCarthy and Holloway, Eric Black being a definite permanent manager, etc is a bit ridiculous.

Blackpool Gazette will have tried to ask him. How often has Holloway been quiet on an issue? He's vocal about things that are nothing at all to do with him, never mind whether he would switch clubs. If he wasn't interested he would have phoned the Gazette himself.

Are we having a Henry Ford moment at Rovers?

You can have any manager, as long as his surname's Black

Seems it's more like, you can have any manager as long as his name's Sherwood and he doesn't cost the Earth, and as long as he'll toe the line.

I may be wrong but that my name is earl guy looks like a plant to discredit Singh. He comes with claims about Singh destroying the recruitment process, as soon as someone questions why he's the only one with this info out pops a user called sage and says the same thing as earl. As soon as someone questions earls motives he's quick to try and act like he's on the fence.

It's easy to tell which rumours carry weight, usually a number of credible posters hear them. e.g. ppl were posting we've no intention of getting Rhodes I've been told by a good source. we made no approach etc etc.

Couple of our known ITKs said we've heard we are ready to meet any asking price for him.

ppl believed the its all a lie rumours about wanting Rhodes and went hysterical..in the end what happened? as the usual ITKs claimed, we stumped up the money and bought him.

Get a grip mate, I don't have any side. You claim I sit on the fence, that is because as I said last night I am not an ITK, I generally know as much about the happenings at the club as anybody else. I just know what Shebby is after and that's a puppet and the situation with Holloway and why it won't happen. Don't get me wrong, I think Sherwood would have stood his ground but is that why he aint here yet, after all this time?

I was and still am full of praise for the pressure that forced Kean to resign and i've also sung his praises for his work trying to rebuild community relations. However, when you have solid information, you'd be stupid to look the other way. Also, I have my doubts over Derek Shaw and certainly Agnew as I don't think they're capable of running Rovers successfully.

You sound like you're ready to believe everything that comes out of Shebby's mouth?

My only motive, I hasten to add, is to do all I can to prevent the club from falling into the same situation as we had with Kean. I want things to return to normal and if you're critical of that, then you need to have a word with yourself.

Andy Cryer:

"

Bring in a manager to manage the squad his way and Rovers have a chance of a Premier League return. Keep doing things the Venky’s way and we may all know what ‘doing a Pompey’ really means.

"

Thank God for Mr Cryer, at least he is switched on to what is really happening.

This is one of the reasons I'd rather we employ a Holloway or McCarthy than a novice as at least we'd know they were being allowed to manage. I can't see those types of managers allowing themselves to be puppets.

Course the other reason is that I think we'd be genuine contenders for automatic promotion again if we had a decent manager calling the shots.

Interesting about Cryer now reaffirming the point that a new manager needs to be able to do it his way. I would say that reinforces my point but I don't want to be accused of being a plant.

For anyone still in denial over the unhealthy influence of Shebby at BRFC pay attention to Andy Cryers latest comment piece:

'The new manager needs to be his own man. He can’t just pander to wishes of the owners or global advisor and he can’t just exist as a puppet for those in the background.'

'They can’t guarantee the next manager they appoint will be a success, no owner can do that, but what they can do is give him the best possible chance of succeeding. That means no signing players that the manager hasn’t even seen, no appointing random people in positions of power, and no listening to people who don’t have the best interests of the club at heart.'

Here is a man who probably has the best/closest links to the current BRFC setup essentially speaking out on the goings on, he is clearly talking about Shebby.

The writing is on the wall Rovers fans, just like it was 2 years ago, don't fall for the spin.

Maybe Speccy Singh is worried that if Sherwood is a no-go, then he'd be forced into a corner to go for Holloway. So perhaps he will drag out negotiations with Spurs until the weekend, hoping that Black wins and just give shim the job.

I see Mick McCarthy is in pole position for the Burnley job and that Rovers have yet to interview all candidates. Unreal. They couldn't hold a kean-up in a brewery, of that I am certain.
