I see some people still think we are a BIG club, hahaha.(maybe in reputation, built on past achievements),

and every penny the club spends is a penny further in debt(so that won't go on for ever).

Christ almighty. We are a small club, and always have been. If you can't see that we're a bigger club than Blackpool, you really are a no hoper.

I have held back on this for a while but Kamy

With regards to Holloway I think he could do a good job at this level getting us up and is clearly the cheap option is there any inkling from you if by some miracle we are promoted will he change his philosophy to attacking football and play a more conservative brand of football in the top flight where games are much tighter?

Or could we end up looking for someone new when we get there?

Kamy with regards to Sherwood was he our top target and now we have been refused they don't know where to turn?

Please tell me it's a joke they are considering Black?

Kamy is Robinson at MK Dons Shebby's next top target & do you believe we could realistically get him? I have never seen MK Dons play are his teams defensively well organised?

Kamy can you shed any light on why we are going after the likes of Sherwood, Holloway, Robinson, Hill, Shearer not as experienced in my mind when more experienced managers like Schuster, Curbishley, Hitzfeld, Souness are being overlooked?

Kamy is Grayson being seriously considered? & is he a Shebby recommendation?

Could we also think about going in for Souness in view of the trotters latest interest?

Kamy in your opinion how long do you think it will be before we actually hire someone?

from one gutter to the next, appleton?

as for my remark regarding kean speaking well, i didnt say he wasnt a bullshitter just that he can talk a good game

Appleton has work miracles at pompey and didnt walk away like most managers would have done. deserve alot of credit for that.

I don't know if this has already been posted, earlier today Shebby told ESPN:

"Spurs have rejected our request to approach Tim Sherwood - we have been told no.

"Eric Black will be in charge of our team at the weekend, as we have made it clear from the outset that we will not be rushed into a decision. That remains the case.

"We do have a shortlist and we are speaking to other people as well, but as for specific names such as Alan Shearer I cannot say anything.

"We shall carry on in a professional manner without any timeline or being forced by any outside influences to rush into an appointment."

He's doing a documentary for ESPN, isn't he?

appleton has worked miracles, yeah, yeah, yeah, near the relegation zone (or should i say bottom half), not his fault of course but dont come out saying he has done an amazing job, any manager would be doing the same in his position, even a conference manager, is there any manager out there chaddy who you dont think is the second coming and would be a great appointment? (not having a pop at you of sorts)

Reading between the lines, I see it this way:

Shebby wanted our Premiership winning captain but couldn't land him.

This indicates that he wants a big name with a previous connection!

Ladies and Gentlemen; without a doubt, Shebby will now go hell for leather for Alan Shearer!

Watch this space!

Never said that I want Appleton as rovers manager. He has done very well at Pompey with all the financial problems there.

Actually my 1st choice as Rovers would have been Nigel Adkins of Southampton if they had sack him during the international break but he is still there.

The very fact that McCarthy in pole position at Burnley shows how low his stock has fallen. Hence Bolton will much rather have Freedman. I'm not sure Holloway much better than McCarthy. Shebby is right to go for Sherwood. He is trying to get Levy's demanded compensation out of the Venkys. I think it will come. Sherwood wants to come to Ewood and will quietly force it. Not ITK. But the above hardly rocket science.

Basically, so far, Shebby has got nowhere.

Won't let outside influences rush them?

How about the fact we need a manager and there is no reasonable explanation for the delay?

I await another SS ego stroking exclusive article in a paper this week, willing to give the bloke time but after 3 weeks 'we won't be rushed by outside influences' just doesn't cut it for me

Not a serbian thanks! Sounds racist...but they aren't in our good books like say

Not that I think this will ever happen (we always get linked with big names that come to nothing), but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

If a bunch of Scottish fans started racially abusing players (I know it would be unlikely but still), would the Scottish managers in the Premier League have to be let go?

Antic would never happen but would be amazing if he did come.

Why? Okay. Why? Why? Probably. And why?

Or just answer this? Why would you have someone who is an entirely unknown quantity over two people who have promoted teams in the past. One of which has promoted a team with very little finances, had his squad depleted then almost did it again. And he's only had one bad season in his managerial career.

Not having a go, I'm just wondering how Shebby and all the other people who want Sherwood know that it's the right thing to do. Psychic powers or just a stab in the dark? It's just that I prefer to go off statistics, facts and evidence and I'm totally baffled by why appointing a total novice when we're up Kean's creek if we don't get promoted, is the right thing for the club.
