  1. 1. Which of the following managers would you accept

Message here to El Tombro,

I refrain from posting things on here which I have reason to believe are correct because people like yourself take it upon themselves to attempt to ridicule the poster, instead, if I have information, I pass it on to people who are able to verify if the information is correct, it is a shame because lots of arguments could be prevented by people such as myself posting what information I have, but I have over my time on here taken bits of stick because I cant reveal my sources, but sources are only good sources if they trust you, for you to reveal X,Y or Z gave you information, it would be the last time, they wouldnt trust you again.

I hope this clarifies the situation and that you may find it upon yourself to refrain from personal attacks on posters on here, it may at some time be to your advantage in that you would find out more!!

It's amazing how often rumour is passed as fact on here.

Mrs Desai has let her brothers have more control - Rumour

The brothers like this manager - Rumour

Shebby likes this manager - Rumour.

Even if posters have been told details by Venkys themselves...it does not mean it is true. People on here tend to get mad that one rumour is contradicting an earlier rumour as if they are questioning the divine gospel truth...crazy.

Very revealing from Holloway's end. Didn't think he'd be interested in the job up until hearing that. Talk about a come and get me plea!

It certainly is the opposite of dismissing the "Blackburn link". What a bad headline for the article.

Think some people are reading between the lines to much. He dismisses the link with us and calls it utter rubbish.

What he says about not being Blackpool manager for he the rest of life doesn't mean much as he probably wants to manage a big club, like most managers want. By big I mean bigger than a Championship club.

Give it a few weeks some PL jobs could come available. Norwich and QPR vacancies look likely if they continue poor form ad Holloway could easily take over either.

We already tried taking a coach as first time manager and we all know what a total and utter disaster that was. I can't believe anyone connected with the club including supporters, should be happy about hiring a manager with zero experience as a manager. In our situation with clueless ownership there is no substitute for proven managerial experience!!!

I didn't read it that way at all. More like he's saying he would listen to an approach but at the same time covering his backend if it comes to nothing.

It's clear to me there are two people in the running. Tim Sherwood and Eric Black.

Black being most cost effective - Mrs D's choice.

Sherwood being Shebby's choice.

I personally wouldn't choose either but we are obviously wanting to appoint on the cheap again, hence the reason we haven't been given permission to speak to Sherwood and are at something of a stalemate. Two good results in a row (whilst we drag our feet) and Black will steal a march and will get the job until the end of the season. No evidence and all guesswork - but based on what we know about the habits of these people.

Pedro

we have been at a daft achievements presentation with an ex player today but one that still lives in the north west and i would expect is still well connected with rovers and footy in general. He says Sherwood will never happen because he's on very big wages at Spurs, will cost major compensation and will want a backroom team of substantial proportions which will be mega bucks too.And they will want long contracts to come north BUT, BUT the more worrying statement was when he said ''and we are skint''.with the owners refusing to put any more money in.He was very fearful of what might be about to happen to the Club.Nothing new there but its kind of sobering when you hear it from sombody you think probably knows more than you do.

Whether that helps the Holloway thing happen instead is anyones guess but allegedly thats not moving at the moment because Shebby doesn't want him and is refusing to accept failure on Sherwood and making himself look powerless again in the eyes of the fans.Black or Robinson were about where it seemed to be at.

I am reporting the gossip as it was discussed with a group of football fans this afternoon. If its wrong don't blame me but he seemed pretty convinced he was right .

Lose tomorrow and Black still in charge for Sheff. Wed., then gate could be back down to 12/13,000ish, maybe even lower.

Perhaps, undeservedly IMV, supporters have given Rovers benefit of the doubt since Kean left, however, EwoodAce1 is spot on, apathy is rapidly setting in again.

Three weeks (four weeks if you include the weekend when they were supposedly going to sack him) is more than enough, to have had your ducks lined-up in a row.

IMO:

  • Shebby, Shaw and Agnew have merely confirmed that none of them are fit for purpose.
  • If speculation is correct, the internal politicking is imbecilic and a betrayal of our great club.
  • They are way out of their depth and in it for themselves only.

You have hit the proverbial nail on the head.

Tell you what though , to me it 100% proves to me that shebby didn't have any power or plans to sack numb nuts . 3 weeks later and it's still a farce. Is the woman in charge ( I include Pompey and risdale ) the most useless clueless owner in sports history? She's been to ONE game in her life Ffs the protest chicken even got closer to pitch than her. The silence from choke ya chicken land is deafening and I don't count shabbys muttering as statements either. A strong clued up owner would have spoken regular to the fans and I'm still close to sending my ticket back and never going again whilst the V's are here .

VENKYS OUT!!!

I'm with you here Abbey.

I don't want more protests but can see it happening.

I'm grateful for the efforts of BRAG. Problem now is the dialogue we get from Shebby is just boll@cks.

What it shows is that they found the mole and removed the flow of information... ;)

If we only reacted to factual information instead of rumours then so far the chain of events has been: kean quits, we sift through applications, we sound out our favoured target, response is positive but his club refuse official permission and having just signed a 4 year contract he is not prepared to walk out, we continue negotiations whilst talking with alternative candidates. In the mean time we have a coach who is taking care of daily matters and hopefully has been able to drill in a better balance between defence and attack for the coming games (as seen by his repeated screaming at them during the matches to "get up the keaning pitch!")

Is it a perfect situation - no. Is it the end of the club and total disaster - is it Kean :rover:

That sounds like a broadcast on behalf of the Venky party.

Fact - we can not rely on them to make rational decision.

Shebby stated at Blakeys they had made provisions for when or if Kean left.

They are plainly stumbling along like the clueless Keanwits they are.

Sounds very plausible and explains why there has been no movement. Like many others, I'm beginning to despair at the way Rovers are being run. Singh is plainly out of his depth and should not be in the job. As I forecast the day after Kean was sacked, the job is Black's to lose and Singh must be hoping we get a few decent results in the next 10 days to justify his appointment.

no no and no, get behind a manager who isnt a cheap option which includes black, robinson, the indian chap and whoever else speccy decides he can control, i will only get behind a good solid experienced manager or someone like sherwood who has something about him.
