Kamy just confirmed on Twitter what Nixon has been saying. Shebby doesn't fancy Holloway for the job. Shaw trying to push it.

So for me, if we don't get Holloway, Shebby better have a very good replacement. On his head be it.

The first part I disagree with if the rumours about a press release being prepared after the Barnsley game confirming his departure were true. At that point people were happy to scream that that highlighted Venky's incompetence, now they are trying to make out Venky's had nothing to do with Kean's departure. You can't have it both ways. To my mind something has clearly happened before the Charlton game for Kean to walk out after travelling down with the team and it seems to me to be the case that we were itching for an excuse to get rid of him ever since Singh joined the Club.

All that makes it even more baffling why the process is being so long winded however.

I refuse to believe rumours anymore where this lot are concerned, as 9 times out of 10 they come to nothing.

If your boss was lining you up for the sack (I'm not basing this on rumours btw :) ) I'm pretty sure he would have plans in place for your replacement.

Now who's being naieve?

And provocative. We don't have to provide motivation - their own professional pride and proper management, along with the fact that they have most lads' dream job should do that. It helps if fans are on your side but it's not a prerequisite of decent football.

Ok I know this is a friend of a friend of a friend type rumour, and I don't know if it's merely confirming something we already knew and he may not be under any consideration by the owners.

However:

Was speaking to a lad last night whose Dad apparently was speaking to Ian Dowie recently at Yu and Yu's the expensive Chinese restaurant on Longsight Road.

Dowie reportedly told him Shearer wanted the job and that he would be his assistant if appointed.

Seems to me at the moment that anyone being interested in the job is a step forward given the indecision we're showing at the moment and I'd take just about anyone over Black frankly

I think Shearer wanting the job was obvious from what he said on Football Focus.

Cryer saying Rovers want a big name manager? I would hope that they don't spend ages trying to get one and then we miss out on a solid appointment.

It's alarming, and quite frankly disgusting how little Black knows about the players when he's been here so long, what the hell has the guy been doing whilst he's been here?

Checking Kean's daily 500 letters of support, I believe.

I think you are probably spot on.

I think you would have to add Newell to the back room staff and probably Kenny as a mentor.

I wonder what the odds of Madame authorising the costs of that little lot would be? And that would only be the costs of "the manager appointment". Then there would also be the costs of clearing out the existing coaching set-up (or most of it), and replacing with the new management teams choice.

It is NEVER going to happen whilst the Venkys are anything to do with it!!

What would the costs be of Madame not authorising anything similar?

The club has imploded and must be losing in the region of £2 million per month as we speak.

They need to either speculate to accumulate or chuck the keys in and leave someone else to pick up the pieces.

Holloway talking about the speculation, saying if his chairman gets the call he will discuss it and if he wants to go that means he doesn't want to be Blackpool manager any more. He says speculation is a good thing as it means he's doing something right. Blackpool is a very tough job, fed up with people saying he's on a cushy number as it's difficult with what he has. He wants better facilities at Blackpool and a better training ground.

Basically, come and get me.

Soz, this was just on Radio Lancs.

Just to add to what booth said, It was put to holloway that the Blackpool fans are 'scared' about him leaving. He rebutted it by saying the fans weren't so scared when they got on his back in the last home game, and stated a fan in the stand behind started to scream at him.

As stated above, i read into it that he will come if we want him, and he clearly isn't that happy at Blackpool

Yes it was a bit of an eye opening interview. Probably that's why Shebby doesn't want him, he's too honest.

According to Blackpool fans he was very unhappy with his chairman's support during pre-season.
