  1. 1. Which of the following managers would you accept

Recommended Posts

But didnt they say he had won the Premier League? that rules out McKinlay - maybe Henning Berg is on the radar, by process of deduction, (Flowers, Berg, Le Saux, Hendry, Gale, Pearce, Sherwood, Ripley, Wilcox, Atko, Batty, Shearer, Sutton, Newell - only Shearer and Berg out of that lot!

Did they actually say had won the league with Rovers???

hope this manager cryer is on about is a good 'un, otherwise there will be alot of empty seats at ewood

Could be any of the many that applied. I expect it to be someone less headstrong as Holloway/MM if he's ahead of them... Or Maradona (that was a joke btw... Hopefully)

What a joke this MB is.

Inside information gets shared as far as it is possible and abuse gets heaped on the posters. Now we are being told it is strange the ITKs are not posting.

There is no secret that Shebby and Shaw have been going in divergent directions and have been briefing different press people with different stories.

Both have had their long time favourites (Sherwood and Holloway), both have been told at different times by Mrs D to go fetch and both have failed to do the fetching.

Putting blue and white coloured spectacles to one side, anybody who has any pedigree in football is going to be massively careful about coming to Rovers based on the last 24 months' farce. If reports that the Sherwood chase are over, supporters should reflect that:

- our Premier League winning captain

- at best number 3 at a club most Rovers supporters derided not five years ago

cannot be enticed to come to us based on what is on the table at present.

This is not inside information but a simple deduction; if we win the forthcoming two home games playing in the style we started with at Derby and there is no appointment, Black has the enormous twin advantages of being the incumbent and being willing to work in the madhouse.

Just another point on Andy Cryer, he ran an article in the LT shortly after Kean was sacked highlighting his top 12 for the Rovers job.

In it he stated Holloway was his preferred choice.

Now that general consensus seems to be shifting towards Holloway being the Club's preferred candidate, I've just noted on Cryer's twitter blog that he claims McCarthy would be his choice but no-one in the corridors of power at Ewood wants to know.

Very odd. Unless he can't bear to give Venky's any credit whatsoever even on the rare occasion they seem to be moving towards a good decision.

Can someone tell me where Ian Holloway rules out Blackburn? He is just saying that he loves his job. Poor journalism.

He could easily say: I'm not leaving Blackpool.

Surprising? They're always like that :P

But yeah, its the ultimate right thing to do. Say that its just speculation and that you love your job. That way if the approach never comes, you havent lost face or support from your fans and chairman.

A few points:-

Which inside info have you posted that has proved to be correct? Kean being left at Motorway Services? Perhaps the reason you get so much 'abuse' (you sound like Kean there) is that you pass your own opinions off as fact...then get upset when people don't believe you.

As for Sherwood, he's technical director at a club aiming once more for The Champions League. He apparently loves his job. He's apparently very good at it. He apparently has an excellent reputation. If he left it to be a manger he might think a job in the Prem would soon be an option. QPR & Soton could be looking for a new manager soon. It would be a coup if we got him but Levy seems to be blocking it because he rates Sherwood highly. If we don't get him it's hardly surprising.

Holloway is entirely different. If Shebby is blocking his move because he doesn't like Holloway on a personal level, then Shebby needs to be hounded out of the club immediately. It seems, going off the photo of him in a training top at Brockhall, that Shebby has designs on being some kind of DoF. Shebby Singh should be nowhere near the training ground. The BRFC Action Group need to be very careful who they describe 'as a breath of fresh air' because Shebby might turn out to be THE major problem at the club in months to come.

As for Black, are you nailing your colours to the ITK mast and saying he's going to get the job?

OGS is the only standout candidate out of those which have been listed.

Holloway is my second choice though defensively frial and also he's had time to get hungry players in, no history at dealing with egos either in his playing career or as a manager. I think he'd be a gamble and is a media darling due to his brand of football.

Sherwood, I nor anyone on this MB knows enough about him... being highly rated in coaching circles means little or nothing see Kidd and Harford.

OGS Young, proven background team at Molde and available in a month... If I was Shebby and Shaw Id agree a deal with him and leave Black in charge till the season over there finishes.

Hope they read this board

Just read what I wrote.

An awful lot of the abuse comes because people read what they want to read and not what is written.

For what it is worth, I wrote:

Get over yourself Phil, you know nothing. This morning I see you're back to serial posting a load of of old cobblers in your usual arrogant way.

Somebody on another thread stated that you've "filled the nicko hole," or something to that extent. Put perfectly I'd say.

I know what i wrote, i was just asking you to clarify who you thought would be the next manager. This is a thread about the next manager after all. You've took it off thread earlier by saying the 'MB is a joke' because people have the temerity to question the authenticity of the info posted by those who profess to be ITK. I notice you just ignored that bit of my original post. You've never posted anything that has proved to be correct, just wild speculation. Is it an attention thing?

Still hearing (from a player) that Sherwood episode closed and all out for Holloway.

Also hearing that its probably even more shambolic behind the scenes since the appointment of the Global Advisor.

Hearing that this is still very much the case, despite SS hunting around desperately for someone less likely to make his life difficult.
