We could still get Holloway if Sherpy fails to discover the next Mourinho. In which case it would be a reluctant appointment.

This isn't just Nixon saying this btw. One person I heard it from is friendly with Shelby.

Doesn't that mean Shebby Singh is really trying to find the best alternative rather than hastily jump straight to appointing Holloway? In any other club, that might be seen as a good thing, actually, but I think the fans are getting restless and impatient especially after Eric Black's failures as caretaker so far.

Sorry, Philipl, as usual I've completely misunderstood the web of conspiracies, intricacies and politics that you've so painstakingly woven in your desire to enlighten us about the mess that is our club.

Now I don't think they are lying and they are perhaps confident that their sources are right, and I appreciate them feeding us all these information but I think we should take those inside sources with a pinch of salt. Such power struggles haven't been reported in the media like the Lancashire Telegraph, Skysports, etc (I bet they would love to report those if they get their hands on confirmation that such conflicts are taking place withint the club), and are being exposed by people only on this messageboard. Even Glen Mullan doesn't mention about them.

This is what Cryer wrote in the LT on 18/10/12:-

The new manager needs to be his own man. He can’t just pander to wishes of the owners or global advisor and he can’t just exist as a puppet for those in the background.

Cryer wouldn't write this if there wasn't a hint of truth in it. Cryer is never explicit when offering info. He's normally very cautious and thus gets a lot of criticism, but he always offers enough info for the reader to get the gist. As for GM, he seems to have put a lot of faith in Shebby, so if Shebby is the one blocking a decent appointment then it's no wonder GM has gone quiet. Only a guess mind.

I haven't said Shebby is blocking Holloway. I am saying Shaw could have landed Holloway by now if Holloway wanted to come on the terms/conditions available.

Ditto Singh had the chance to land Sherwood, if he had wanted to come.

So you're saying that Holloway doesn't want to come? That's not what I'm hearing at all. The "no" is coming from our end.

Harry Harris saying Holloway is now top candidate - http://soccernet.esp...urn-job?cc=5739

Don't underestimate the accuracy of this article. ESPN has been Shebby Singh's mouthpiece throughout this affair and has so far documented every step of the process as has happened.

Don't think we will end up with Holloway still though, Shebby wants a DoF job and he won't have anywhere near the influence over the first team that he wants with a big mouth in place.

The only way we have a chance of Holloway is if Shebby Singh has lost a huge amount of authority at the club. With Mrs D now back in control of affairs (as of very recently), this is perhaps starting to become a possibility. Singh was the brother's idea.

Hasty? They've been considering Holloway since before Kean went.

Edit: I agree with Earl. Though Balaji could eventually over rule Shebby as he is a Holloway fan.

I have not said Holloway does not want to come to Rovers (although some are doing).

I am saying he does not want it on the terms/conditions available.

The way Rovers operate might change, the money side might change..... but Shaw was told more than a week ago to go get him and Holloway remains stubbornly ungotten

Perhaps that's true but not what I'm hearing. I'm hearing Shebby has told Balaji he can do better, so they've give him the opportunity to do so. Much like what happened with him landing Rhodes instead of Kean's choice of Mackey.

nicko doubts the stories of balaji being a holloway fan otherwise and i quote 'he would surely have stepped in by now'

He's wrong unless Balaji was lying when he said it.

Bear in mind that if you're going to buy a television, and your mate says he may be able to get you a better one for the same price would you hear him out or just jump into getting the one you saw in Currys?

That's true and has been true for more than two weeks. There will come a point at which Mrs D will completely over-rule Shebby.

At the moment it remains http://www.onemantwoguvnorsbroadway.com/

depends which programmes im missing

I don't think Balaji is too worried about what he's missing at the moment. But if Shebby has said he's appointing someone on Wednesday it looks as if a deadline has been set.

So let me get this right, you're saying that Mackey (I presume you mean McKinley) is Kean's choice? I thought Kean had gone, or has the last 3 weeks just been a dream?

Before Kean went he wanted Mackey (also Cox). Shebby said we can do better and we got Rhodes despite everyone saying we wouldn't.

That's what confused me, you meant Mackie. Sorry

This is the thing that needs to happen for us to get a manager in, in my opinion. As it stands it is very unlikely we will have a new man in by next week. You can bet your bottom dollar that if Holloway is appointed, the show is once again being run my Mrs D and Shebby Singh will have been HUGELY marginalised probably neutralising his entire role at the club.

Holloway must have been lying a couple of days aso then when he said ' there has been no approach from Blackburn, and i'm sure my chairman would tell me if there had been'

Has something happened?

Not got any new info at the moment but that article, in my opinion, says that a deadline has been set to get a new man in and it sounds as though Singh is starting to flap.

EDIT: Needless to say, I don't think they'll meet that deadline unless a power shift changes behind the scenes.

Holloway must have been lying a couple of days aso then when he said ' there has been no approach from Blackburn, and i'm sure my chairman would tell me if there had been'

There has never been a bigger lie in the history of the human race.

ever heard of unoffical approach like most football clubs do 1st before an offical approach is done. need to know if the manager is interest in the job first.
