1864roverite Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 how does anyne think that argie cheating scrote will do anything positive at Ewood ? he has no credible qualifications or experience whatsoever. wouldnt touch with a keany stick
tugay5 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Does anyone know who we've actually interviewed? My guess would be berg, holloway abs redknapp. Redknapp won't take it I think he's just drumming up some interest in himself to force qpr into sacking Hughes. That leaves holloway and berg, glen said holloway isn't happening but others seem to think its on. Glen has always been well informed and maybe he knows that Shebby doesn't fact holloway or visa versa. So I'd say berg is the current favourite now. What would people think of that? Personally I'd settle and differences with holloway and give it him. I really think he could get the best out of this group of players
CapeTownRover Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I swear, if there is no manager appointed this week, or we announce a rubbish manager, then I think our owners will be well advised to stay away permanently along with Shebby. You cannot justify spending 5 weeks searching, and have a supposedly good list of candidates, who applied for the job, and then end up appointing a novice. Shebby will once again look stupid, having mentioned that he could not believe the high calibre of people who applied, and then turn around and announce somebody who has done nothing in management. This is no time to be taking a gamble on a manager, having witnessed the last 2 years having no manager in charge, but instead having a pretender at the helm. The fans have been through enough crap, and making a mistake again, will lead to huge problems.

Ralfinho Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I'd rather my grandma manager Rovers than Berg. I'm sticking by my info r.e Holloway though. The only consolation to not getting Holloway will be Redknapp. I will lose a significant amount of money and my dad will have a lot to answer for.

For me, Shebby will have burnt his and Venky's boats if he blocks Ollie's appointment. Arry would be dream scenario.
den Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 If the LT's list is correct, I expect Berg to be appointed.
CapeTownRover Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 New York, New York! Agreed by the way, both times i did edit it after i saw that it came through twice This manager search is driving me up the wall now lol

xtp Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Please don't joke about Maradonna. Within a week, he'll be in place, with Agnew telling us about the thousands of fans on the internet who campaigned for his appointment.
MGAndy Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 New York, New York! Agreed by the way, both times +1

BrisRover Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Signing Redknapp up would go a long way in healing some of the very open wounds regarding the clubs relationship with the fans. It would be a major sign of intent and prove they really will do what it takes to get the club back to where we belong. GET IT DONE!! SIGN UP ARRY!!!!
arbitro Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I really don't understand the hype around the Nixon article. He strikes me as one bitter individual as far as Rovers are concerned and it appears he likes to put the spoke in at every opportunity. His latest masterpiece is aimed at making us a futher laughing stock without, I believe a shred of truth in it.
Mercer Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 If Cryer is correct, unfortunately, I think it will be Berg. Nothing against the guy personally, but his record suggests to me that he is simply not up to the task. Think Holloway will only be hired if Mrs D overrules Shebby and then fires him - wouldn't rule that out as he clearly hasn't covered himself in glory during his short tenure at Ewood (just wtf has he done other than make friends with Glen Mullan ?) ! Rednapp makes no sense at all and I think it stinks of something - I don't think there is a snowball's chance in hell ! Unfortunately, we missed the best candidate by p1ssing around for too long and that was Freedman who was, I understand, on initial list.
pick32 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Don't want a fat cheating druggy thanks, always preferd pele.
Andy Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Berg would only be a decent appointment if the alternatives were people like Flitcroft and McKinlay. I just can't see Redknapp coming to Rovers and if he did, I think he'd be doing it half-heartedly and just waiting for a Premier League club to snap him up. Furthermore, he'd surely be on huge wages and would want considerable backing in the transfer window. That said, does pretty much guaranteed promotion counter all of the above? Maradona is a pure desperation move from a red-top rag after having exhausted all other lines of fabricated stories. Wouldn't take any notice of that at all. Holloway is the man for me, not just because I followed Ralf's tip last week
Batman. Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 That said, does pretty much guaranteed promotion counter all of the above? Is that a serious question?
Andy Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Is that a serious question? Are you a serious poster?
MGAndy Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 come on, we all know the score. 1. no credible manager will come to Rovers to work with Shebby and Venkys. That rules out people like Holloway. There isn't a cat in hells chance. That rules out Harry (who would probably help make us go bust anyway). There isn't a cat in hells chance. No doubt both will have a talk to us about the position. Why not? No harm in listening to what may be on offer... it can help achieve other personal goals they may have. Harry probably just fancies a day out and it's raining so golf is out the question. 2. Maradonna (don't know what to make of that). Well slightly worried ! Shebby's media freak sideshow is what the mere suggestion amounts to. The reality would be far worse. Highly unlikely (I hope). Would be disastarous to say the least. 3. Any manager who costs Venkys any kind of serious money will not get the job. Although Kean has gone, the business ideas which fuelled his appointment have not. It will be the person seen as the best (most palettable to fans) option from the crop of "upcoming promising managers". That is obvious. That is why Flitcroft and Maradonna are still being talked about in the same sentence. Where else would those two be comparing CVs for the same job. Both are are a joke in terms of realistic options. Most fans know exactly what will happen. Many different hopes and opinions of who will be best suited. Hopes and opinions aside, we all know what will actually happen. Berg will be manager by the weekend. Thats probably the best we can hope for !
ABBEY Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Maradona can't speak English. neither can shebby or kean give alan nixon some credit, he has credible sources, he wouldnt write this story out of spite, maradona could be a genious move or a crackpot one That what the nicko teens said after we had 50 million to spend
