Are you suggesting I have Alexanders on ignore, I respectfully ask you retract that statement as I have most certainly not, the only person I will put on ignore is if that Fat Argy comes to Rovers, and will be on ignore until he returns to his homeland

No, I am not suggesting that you have Alexanders on ignore, as I've placed in the brackets my entire statement was supposed to be sarcastic. Sorry, should have written it in a clearer way or something. I suck at sarcasm. Oh well. I think the reason why people overlooked his statement was because they read the outdated posts first, or some other valid reason.

It might roverandout, but i was also in favouer of Sherwood. Puffsan and Keyzer have made valid points about Berg. Many positives, but would represent risk.

Call me an idiot, but I rather want Sherwood/Berg type than an uncharismatic McCarthy or Robinson back por ejemplo.

Isn't it strange that its our Norwegian supporters bigging up berg and calling him a great choice? Couldn't be anything to do with them wanting a Norwegian manager managing at a higher level? As for me, berg? Bleh!!!

I am all for Berg, I'm not Norwegian but they guy is honest, will give 100% and knows the club, not to mention very well respected and an ex international footballer of repute, Treble winner, Ex Rover and a good guy.

Not like the Argy who has been suggested, this is infuriating me, once we start employing druggies, its time to give up!!

I hope we can all put this bickering aside and fully welcome Mr. Mourinhio when he is unveiled as our new manager tomorrow. It's been a long ride, but patience pays off guys. Venkys have finally come through.

Are you nuts? Another portuguese in the team? lol

Oooh it's a bit tetchy on here tonight!

I reckon Harry did fancy the job for the money but it wasn't on offer. He then swiftly did the rounds to get his version of events out first.

God knows who will get the job. I'm almost beyond caring now.

Glad we didnt go for Redknapp if it was all about the money

Sven is the only manager to put up with this nuthouse...but he'd get us up now and good contacts when we go up. He's due a bit of luck. Id be happy.

Sven & Shebby Show.

I don't think he would get us up. He didn't do well at Leicester.

I'd still like Keegan as a wildcard but that aint going to happen.

Idf it counts, Nicko thinks Berg would be a stupid move.

Redknapp would have basically guaranteed promotion I reckon. Who cares about his motives?

I do. I need someone with passion for this club. Not just a mercenary. Its about time we get something to be proud of again!

I'm genuinely appalled by the endorsement of that statement by the three responses to my pointing out an offensive post.

I'm fully aware of the avant-grade nature of comedy and the necessity of manipulating perceived taboos for effect and to denigrate the genuinely medieval viewpoints held by some people through comedy.

What I can't agree with is someone brushing off a challenge against something they said which is wholly out of line with the playground excuse of, "I was only having a laugh." Spare me. You're all old enough and ugly enough to know better. I am for political correctness on the grounds that people shouldn't have to be labelled against their wishes with arcane terms by ignorant folk. Literal or no, perpetuating the myths about any demographic by using careless generalisations and inaccuracies associated with them is just plain wrong.

I genuinely believe that there's enough words in the English language to avoid resorting to calling people things like "retard." In the same spirit, the irony of my last word wasn't lost on me, of course not.

Interesting that you all jump to his defence with comedy as his excuse, when he said it was to do with context. Which is it?

Still, I'm bored of this and people that endorse it, lets just talk about football and be a little more considerate with our words.

Contextualise it for me, buddy.

As far as I understand it, you used the term "Schizo Manic Depressive sorts" to describe a group of individuals who post on this messageboard. You were inferring that they post reactionary and irrational posts, given the context of the impending appointment of a manager.

For your own smart-ar$e gratification, you've pigeon-holed people who suffer from Schizophrenia or "Manic Depression" (it's actually called Bi-Polar disorder, but I guess you didn't catch that memo back in the '50s) into the irrational and the reactionary. You literally made light of two serious mental illnesses for nothing more than comic effect on an Internet messageboard which discusses a football club.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum, d!ckhead.

and you're calling me a smarta##! , get over yourself and stop polluting this thread with your self righteous rubbish.

(just put me on ignore as i have now you).

Have I missed something, how on earth can the owner of the football club approve the appointment of a certain manager 2 weeks ago and yet that manager has not been appointed....as of yet.

Sounds like Shebby isn't towing the line...so why is he still here. Crikey

Again it shows how shambolic our club is if true. So in our youth club were I work we have a youth body forum with other clubs and a representive for our club. Now sometimes we have a good few people wanting to be it. My boss decides overall and may tell me to tell the person they have the post. If I disagree never bloody matters as she is the boss. I I didn't tell them I would be fired. Situation applies in many differen jobs but Rovers never do things by the book.

Oh definitely but he was never in the running was he, he even said it himself on numerous occasions.

Nicko thought Kean was a gem, nuff said.

a gem lettuce?

I just think you're being a little harsh.

People say Venky's are cancerous. Should that be deemed offensive to cancer sufferers or relatives of those?

If I was to make a comment regarding people perhaps having a coronary or making a comment alluding to someone having high blood pressure relating to their attitudes over the current BRFC situation, should those who have suffered/observed such sufferings be offended?

It is easy to find little faults with everything, I just don't think you needed to as the person in question was simply observing resemblances between posters and certain medical conditions. Do you really think they intended to insult anyone? It beggars belief how you can nitpick over something so minimal. Perhaps said comment could have been worded better but if everyone was to watch everything they said for a fear of offending someone then not so much would be said. Studying in China I understand the importance of watching what you say for fear of consequences but I really think you are going slightly OTT.

As you said, back to football. (Just try not to get offended by anything anyone says unless it is truly, directly insulting)
