The d!ckhead comment was put in as a bit of comic irony. I'm surprised noone picked up on Quod Erat Demonstrandum. That was also there for a bit of irony after I called hardly1980 a smartar$e.

I admit, I probably did overreact in the context of this board, but the root of my feelings on the issue come from what I've generally experienced in life regarding the subjects of mental health disorders and discrimination.

It was unfair for me to do that and I've had a sleep and a calm down now, so, apologies and let's move on with the football chatter.

Today's a good day, potentially the kickstart the club needs. Puffsan's outstanding post has given me some confidence about Berg that I haven't felt about the Rovers for a while and I'm keen to embrace that.

Are we supposed to believe that on a planet full of managers Berg is the best who is available and interested?

That's it! The question we are not supposed to ask!

Because when you do you realise the utter absurdity of it.

For some reason only known to himself Shebby wanted as manager, a former player, one of the Premiership team and one who had never been relegated. That's what he said from the beginning and that's what he stuck to.

So Shearer, for example, was ineligible! Having done what he'd said he'd do, 2 obvious questions arise:

WHY?

and "What was the point of the tortuous and farcical selection process (for want of a better word)?

Shebby you're an idiot. If this works out it'll be pure fluke. The only thing you've got right is that we all like and respect Henning and will get behind him from the off.

From then on its up to him , the owners to support him in the transfer market and for Shebby to bugger off and keep out of it.Which I don't think Shebby will do.

If Berg is announced today, it's imperative we get behind him. It's not the appointment the majority were after but we need to try and move forward post-Kean.

This managerial recruitment process has been a farce and has become more about Shebby Singh's ego than the promotion he said was so vital. The buck has to stop with him if this turns out to be a disaster and if there are any signs of meddling or interference affecting the team from the 'Global Advisor', during Berg's tenure, the fans need to act, as with Kean.

I got told this morning that everything was finalised for Holloway to be offered the job but then at the last min a certain Shabba The Hut blocked it. Im gutted it isnt going to be Holloway but I will back Berg. But I heard something else that Black still might be installed as the manager with Berg being a joint manager

Kamy on Twitter:

For those asking about Holloway. He wanted the job, everyone at the club felt he was the right choice except for one man. Shebby Singh.

If this screws up, I hope every Rovers fan remembers who made this decision.

Stop talking out your rear end. You just make sure Holloway's compensation is sorted.

No1 - they now run the club from here through Shebby, Agnew and Shaw.

No2 - Kean has gone.

No3 - made some good signings with funds available.

No4 - mood is changing.

No1 - The club isn't being run properly. See indecision over the new manager, indecision on sacked the last one, corporate, sponsorship and season ticket revenue fallen off a cliff. Still needing to ask Pune for a p*ss

No2 - They didn't even have the common sense and foresight to sack him even though he was w*nk

No3 - Hardly. Rhodes looks like he may have some promise but the rest are below average rubbing rags

No4 - REALLY????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Berg as new manager is one gargantuan MEH!!! and see gates of 13k and then ask yourself again.

I am very very frustrated this morning.

Shebby Singh has taken a MASSIVE gamble and gone against the advice of everyone just to improve his own position.

I don't have a big issue than Berg but he is not 'better' than what we could have had, as Shebby told the owners. He MIGHT be great but at the end of the day he's done nothing and his two appointments so far were not covered in glory. I, and I'm sure all Rovers fans, will be behind nhim 100% and it will be refreshing to hear the managers name in our chanting again. It's not Bergs fault. But we could have done better and should have done better and this is all down to one egotistical maniac, a kid traped in an old mans body with zero experience of business or anything apart from low level football.

Shebby Singh wants to run around in his tracksuit and be 'the boss'. He wants the new manager to know who is the boss. There's no chance he would get that with Holloway or Redknapp. He has taken a massive gamble when this isn't the time for us to find the 'next Mourinho' it's the time to get us bloody promoted at any cost. I don't want to be pessimistic but I would be surprised if that happened with Berg. I don't know, he might be great and I'd certainly think he will have a good season and might go further NEXT season. Problem is, we need to go up THIS season. Desperately.

Shebby...you have taken a massive gamble here on an unproven manager just because you know you can boss him about and keep your tracksuit on.

1) Day to day decisions are made here, every small thing used to take an age, it doesn't now. Football people make the big decisions and the owners sign them off.

2) He has gone.

3) Would you have signed Murphy, Etuhu, Rhodes, Best, Kazim-Richards or Gomes?

4) It is changing, it has not changed, there was no overnight cure, despite people telling us Kean going was just that.

I wonder why people think Berg is any more a gamble than Redknapp or Holloway? There is no god given right to be a success but certainly grounding with people like SAF, Souness and Hughes are the kind of attributes that I would prefer to see. It will be an interesting fewmonths but there is nothing to suggest that Berg will be anything but a success with the backing of board and the fans.

I like Ian Holloway and I'm all for him if he does come in, but I'm not sure if Henning Berg is really as inferior to him as everyone is making him out to be. Sure, Holloway may have a ton of experience behind him, but that also includes failures. He's a great manager, but I could say the same for Berg. The only reason why most think Holloway is better than Berg is because of his experience in the Championship, and the last couple of seasons or so. I respect Holloway and would love him here, but I'm not as confident as everyone that he is 1) the best men for the job (well, I don't think Berg is the best either) and 2) With Holloway comes guaranteed promotion. People here are insinuating that if we get Holloway we'll definitely get promoted. Really? Probably the chances are higher, but it's no guarantee.

And Berg won't allow Shebby Singh to boss him around, I'm sure of it. Anyone who can stand up to Graeme Souness is definitely no pushover.
