Sorry Sevrre he's not impressed them he's the only one who shebby thinks he can control i'm sorry but can you tell me one way he stands above Holloway i'm sorry its a terrible appointment. If henning really cared for the club like i'm told he would have turned it down top managers wanting it and yet Shebbys picked someone who was nomore than ok in Norway give me a break might as well stuck with kean.

Berg is apparently one of 24 managers who played under SAF. This can only be a good thing.

Does anyone know if there is a past relationship of any sort between Black and Berg? I'm curious as to whether Berg would have an aversion to working with Black.

I don't think their paths have ever crossed Steve.

Berg over mccleish!

Wel see, why would berg fly home if hes appointed today?

Because he lives in Norway and therefore has some things to tie up before moving to England, rather than simply leaving everything behind and starting his new life from scratch with whatever he brought with him for the interview.

I think this is a poor managerial appointment and smacks of desperation more than anything else. If he hadn't played for Rovers, everybody would be absolutely gutted. That being said, he has played for Rovers and was a fantastic servant to this club and the one thing you can say for sure is he will have the best interests of the club at heart unlike the shambles that are currently there.

Five weeks to get to this Shebby?! What a disgrace. Shebby Singh should be dismissed upon the announcement of the new manager.

To arrange to move? To collect his family? To get a fresh set of clothes? To tell his bosses he quits?

Or maybe wait for a phone call letting him know the job is his. Nothing's been signed yet as Pune has to make the decision.

This is a messageboard for fans to express opinions, I said I would be underwhelmed. If you don't like reading opposing opinions to your own, I suggest you should be the one stearing clear of the messageboard.

As for turning up at games, I always have and always will, I have my Palace, Huddersfield and Peterborough tickets in my wallet, have you got yours?

Agreed it is a message board and yeh you can voice your own opinion's but we've been dragged through the dirt for two years, granted that isn't going to change all that much with venkys still in charge but its going to get better. I was someone who was calling for cocos head and chanting Kean out well I can't be bothered with all the negativity anymore, keans gone it looks like berg is in so with the exception of venkys its a fresh start, and tbh no were not gonna get promoted with people like you moaning... and regarding the ticket thing I must say pretty pathetic reply but seeing as I work alternate Saturday's no I haven't got a ticket for palace, Yes I have got my ticket for Huddersfield and I'm working away in Germany for the posh game and due to work commitments this is the first time I haven't got a season ticket in 12 years.

Appreciate that but you'd stay overnight at a hotel if you knew appointment was the next day? Then you'd go home after the appointment sorting things out leaving black behind taking charge.

If its Berg then I'm worried, disappointed and angry in equal measure.

For a club that desperately needs to be promoted this season this would be a bewildering appointment. When you realise that the blithering idiot Singh is responsible then its easier to comprehend.

Slightly underwhelmed but I'm fully behind Henning. As Kamy has said, it's not Berg's fault that the process has taken 5 weeks.

If Shebby & Co. had come out at the start and appointed Henning within 2 weeks I'd imagine 95% of the fans would be behind it. But as it is, 5 weeks is an absolute embarrassment.

Quietly confident he'll turn out as a good appointment. He won't take any kean from the owners and you get the feeling that he'd do the honourable thing if the time ever came. Henning Berg's Blue and White Army does have a ring to it.

Oh and I get some decent winnings (if it is sealed).

Rubbish. Redknapp would have got by with a toothbrush and his slippers.

Can we all agree that Shebby is a tool and doesn't know what he's doing but Berg will get our backing and we cautiously anticipate some much needed change within the club, to whatever extent it manifests itself?

I think most would agree to that

Would you? Even if you had prior appointments, personal matters to resolve, etc? If he's been told already he's got it then he can go and wait for the formalities to be sorted. He's done all he needs to do now, whether he's got it or not.

Rubbish. Redknapp would have got by with a toothbrush and his slippers.

He couldn't even manage the journey up.

Yes you are also entitled to air your concerns and its great you go to many away matches, but lets just sit back and think for a moment, Henning has played for arguably the best manager in English football SAF, also came back to Rovers and helped us get out of this very same league which was a damn sight harder back in 2001 or whenever it was than it appears to be this season, so he knows what's required, and reading Puffscans article will not allow Shebby to interfere so as many are saying, yes a little underwhelmed but maybe the catalyst we need.110% support from all.

Would just say that its weird that Burnley, Bolton, Crystal Palace and even Ipswich are or have handled their manager searches more professionally speaks volumes about certain people in our backroom.

I wont do the ITK bit but if some of you new some of the stuff from the past few weeks youd burn your season tickets once and for all and wash your hands of Shebbys Rovers.

But whoever does get the job does need full support.

This is the kind of intellect that is angry at Berg. Someone who would rather have kept Kean

Think about that

I'll go with that Braddock rallying call

As long as some of the changes involve P45's for three prominent board members then the task will be even easier

I thought you weren't going to do the ITK bit?
