RevidgeBlue Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Did anyone hear the discussion on this on Talksport before teatime? I didn't hear it myself but I'm told they were discussing whether a move to us would be good from Harry's point of view and the balance of opinion was that yes it would be because a decent manager ought to get this squad up making him look good. Surprised at that, they absolutely love Harry on there and I thought they'd say it'd be a disastrous move for him. They also said Harry is being linked with the Ipswich vacancy apparently. Same person told me Holloway is shortening rapidly for the Burnley job. Into 4/1 apparently. Don't know what he was before tbh.

Amo Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 If he indeed does persuade Harry Rednapp to come, I'm sure everyone will agree to shine their spotlights on him. I find your faith...disturbing.

Shows how easy it is to get good press if you have the right connections.
watford-rover Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 He's saying that it's Holloway getting the call, more news in The Mirror tomorrow. Brilliant!! Got to love an 11o'cloker
True Blue & White Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Shebby is on sky tonight at 10:15 Here's a teaser from their coverage, showing Shebby arriving at his office at Brockhall... http://www.grapheine.com/bombaytv/bt.swf?code=55dd6dbbf7fa18418c1e59a77da8249a (never gets old that)
Lurid Coat Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 They certainly seem to have gone to a lot of effort if it is a non story. Interviews with Eric Black and Dunny about it and everything! But, according to your good self, he's not coming - so why bother posting anything about the Redknapp story? I'm amazed that anyone thought this was going to happen. Even if he did want to come...You really think Venkys would pay his salary?
roverandout Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 missing out on on redknapp would be like buying the winning multi million pound lottery ticket and realising you left it in the washing machine
Ossydave Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Didn't Sky make out that Flitty was nailed on for the job last night? I'm not saying they did as I didn't see anything, but when we got back to the pub thats the impression I was given. Either way, their info can't be described as rock solid!

Think they just fed this story to Iain Dowie to see if he'd run with it and it looks like Frankenstein did
roverandout Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 one extreme to the other, cant they can their freaking mouths shut? i feel like i have been on a roller coaster supporting rovers, if harry dont want it, get holloway in!!!
The Dart Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I'd be delighted with 'Arry. Experienced and proven and never going to happen. Maybe.
Ralfinho Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 get your money on holloway asap, thats all i can say sorry
booth Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Like I said earlier in the thread, my worry is that now we'll put other appointments on hold in the hope that Harry signs, then Harry gets a closer to home offer and by that time the likes of Holloway aren't available or get fed up with being messed around.
chaddyrovers Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Bring in Holloway. That´s it. He should be first choice unless we can get Redknapp in.
Batman. Don't worry, Ralfinho has gone all ITK and says it's a done deal.
Ossydave Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 get your money on holloway asap, thats all i can say sorry Who do you think you are?!?!? Glen????
trueblueroversiloveu Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Ralfinho I've just heard similar. Not a done deal but very close?
RoverScot Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 get your money on holloway asap, thats all i can say sorry All my money is on Shearer after Kamy's Sunday night announcement though the Blackpool fans have been resigned to losing him all day on their forums.
RevidgeBlue Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Don't worry, Ralfinho has gone all ITK and says it's a done deal. Hope it's a bit more reliable than him posting a supposed pic of Harry at Stanley House with his mate on the day Kean resigned which was apparently a pic of Harry at a completely unrelated event somewhere 3 weeks previously.
martmitch Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 as much as i'd love harry to come it does seem like the 'ronaldinho' moment all over again... would love to have my doubts proved wrong
chris_h Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Strange that bookies are offering 4-1 on Holloway going to the Dingles. Why would he leave Blackpool to go there?
roverandout Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 he wouldnt, no way would holloway go to burnley, sideways step at best
koi Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Hollo 9/2 with Paddy Power. Never betted in my life but that looks very good,no?
