Kelbo Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 We are now a national joke, how on earth can Shebby be in charge of selecting a new manager, is it Venkys business plan to employ anyone who is unable to carry out duties effectively? It should be so simple, invite applications, (plus a little tapping up) take advice on those managers from others in the game, prepare a shortlist, negotiate terms and appoint. Simple isnt it, no its not for this lot and they cant see how foolish they are making both themselves and the club look, its not even good enough for amatuer football let alone the proffessional game. Sort it out Venkys and sharpish, this is a joke, unless of course, managers wont accept the conditions which are constant meddling in team affairs by both Venkys and Singh, which I am now suspecting is the case!!

only2garners Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 1) Firstly, how can Holloway be thinking about saving on long commutes up to Lancashire by accepting a job with Palace. Thought he'd just bought a house in Lytham. So it'd be the other way round. Palace is a lot nearer his family, who have moved back to the Bristol area. Hence, I presume, his move from a big house in the Ribble valley to Lytham.
gumboots Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Ever tried London to the west country. It's no easier than here to the Bristol area in terms of hassle
Ricky Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I was going to say the same. Bristol to rovers is easier than Bristol to Palace.
OJRovers Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Owen Coyle lives 2 mins from Brockhall... If we're only interviewing this week, then what have they been doing for the last 3 weeks?? It only leads me to think that they were quite happy to give it to Black if he got any sort of reasonable results/performances. Shambles of a process, but did we really expect anything different?
alexanders Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Read between the lines on Booths post about the ITKers and journalists from last night OJ.
LeChuck Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 We've almost run out of players any other club would want to pay any sort of fee for. It's true. We have nobody left in the squad who could benefit the club financially, and we had quite a few when Venky's arrived. Martin Olsson is probably the only one who could potentially give a decent return if they left, but even his stock is dropping all the time. Rochina might see a small profit, Rhodes would see a decent fee but no profit until he proves himself in a higher league.
my_name_is_Earl Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Sky reporting Karl Robinson may become the new man, just speculation I think: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8195566/? I would be disgusted if Robinson was appointed with the calibre of managers who want the job. Why won't Shebby get back on his tablets and appoint somebody who will get us promoted? It's not difficult, there are some decent names in there. He needs to stop living in his fantasy land and get back to the real world before it's too late. Hate the man now, will hate him more when he gets his puppet. Total Charlatan, don't be fooled by talk of Harry.
dwayne cage Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 What I loved about The Footballers Football Show was Jason Brown was very abrupt in telling Shebby he should of had a better plan in place as well as saying the owners have been wrong on many occasions. There was some weird comments made by Shebby though, probably jokingly but who knows. Will the next Blackburn manager be black? "Do I have to answer that as it will give it away." "Maybe i will be subject to bad chanting soon"
John Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Don't want Karl Robinson even though a nice £1k will come in from my bet ages ago - wish the clowns would stop dithering, well beyond a farce now.

"Maybe i will be subject to bad chanting soon" I did wonder about the underlying reason for the race conversation-was a well known black manager/candidate not considered?? (ignored). Something obviously got their backs up....or was in their minds with this conv'

True Blue & White Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Eid is celebrated by Muslims, not Hindu's. Hindu's what?
beerwins Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 With the likes of Schuster, Redknapp, Holloway and Mccarthy said to be interested in job fans will never accept another rookie. If a rookie comes in and loses a few games everyone will be exactly same as when Kean got the job and will very quickly get annoyed knowing other managers with more experience would have us challenging for promotion. When will Shebby and the owners wise up and accept that they need the fans on board to make the club go forward, Shebby is not acting for the clubs best intentions only his own by looking for puppets.
only2garners Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I was going to say the same. Bristol to rovers is easier than Bristol to Palace. I've done both journeys recently. Bristol is a good hour nearer from south London than from here.
Fife Rover Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Venky boys will be busy with Eid celebrations as of tomorrow won't they? Never mind there's always next week... They are Hindu not Moslem.
True Blue & White Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Shebby Singh interview from last night now up on the website... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11676/8194990/Blackburn-global-advisor-Shebby-Singh-is-closing-on-a-new-manager
m1st Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 They are Hindu not Moslem. And we're only just over a fortnight away from Diwali - perhaps they'll celebrate by appointing a new manager to coincide with that feast.

He wants a puppet and this will suit Venky's as it's the cheap option.
True Blue & White Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 They are Hindu not Moslem. Which means it's nearly Diwali for them, which started today last year but not until November 13th this year (We'll still be manager-less by then probably).
booth Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Shebby Singh interview from last night now up on the website... http://www1.skysport...n-a-new-manager Thanks for that. The presenter suggested that the reason for our demise is for employing a coach right after Shebby said that finding the next big thing was the most interesting group.
G Somerset Rover Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Shebby has only got himself to blame here with regards to the fan backlash over trying to appoint somebody without managerial experience. He was the one who came out shouting from the rooftops about all of the big "amazing" names from world football who had applied for the job. If he had kept his trap shut for once then us fans would probably imagine that nobody within their right mind would touch the job and want to work for these cowboys. He's got himself into a hole here, which is what I would imagine the delay is over. He's trying to now backtrack, finding a happy medium between himself still holding the power, but us fans not kicking up a massive stink. My guess is that we won't have appointed somebody by the middle part of next week. Hell it's been 4 weeks, why not a few more? Patience remember people.
Kelbo Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 He'd better be careful or there will be only 12,000 on for the next game!!
