If we dont get HR as manager then I think it would between Karl Robinson and Ian Holloway to be next rovers manager.

Shebby seems to want a young up and coming manager so that would be KR and Shaw seems to want experience manager like IH. thats seems to be the way at the minute but who knows with rovers owners n Shebby/Shaw.

As the latest podcast Kamy said that both Holloway and Robinson were recomend to Balaji this summer.

Wow, really? Thats a superb return. Good effort.

I don't actually want it to happen, not convinced at all by Robinson - would also see Brunskill (they are close pals) and maybe Black kept on - personally want to see a new back room team in, it is clear the players are not fit enough and need more intense training sessions.

Out of all the next Mourinhos I would be happiest with Robinson

I await roverandout coming along and telling us he's done with rovers if its Robinson

He would make more sense than anyone else Shebby has marked down as the next Mourinho.

What Shebby seems to ignore with these comparisons is that Mourinho had success as a manager prior to joining Porto. Same with Villas-Boas after him. Shebby seems to be pulling names of coaches with no experience at all, so it's not the same thing and carries much more risk.

At least Robinson has shown he's at least a semi-capable manager. Plus I'd win £500 if it's him.

I agree totally John.

Just saying how good a return 1k is.

Agreed. There must be something about to to achieve what he has in that age. Big Sam kept him on from Ince, didn't he? MK Dons wouldn't give him the job as a 29 year old without him having something about him.

Wikipedia: "At the age of 29, he was also the youngest person to ever acquire a UEFA Pro Licence", not to shabby and would be a modern type.

Anyways. We all want Harry, but noe likely to work out is it? Robinson would deserve been giving a chance from the supporters at least.

He was talking out of his arse.

Then I feel sorry for the couple of posters that have placed their hard earned money on him off the back of his statement. In fact, so many people believed him enough bets were placed in short succession to get Stan James to close their book.

If he's wrong, he'll have some serious questions to answer from other posters I suspect.

All gone quiet on the Harry front then?

Amazing how bi-polar it is to be a Rovers fan these days. SkySports understands that Harry Redknapp is interested in being the next Rovers manager then after 10 o clock Shebby is still searching for his footballing protege.

I can't believe that anyone would be so gullible as to place a bet on the strength of football messageboard scuttlebutt!

Having said that, if ralfhino IS offering compensation, my £100k is looking sound......

I like how all three of Shebby's category of manager have been nailed on to get the job in the last 24 hours as well. First 'Sky Sports Understood' it was Harry's (Wise old head), then Ralfino's solictor mate said he was sorting out compo for Holloway (Experienced with failures an successes) before Shebby hinting he was after the third tier (the next Mourinho) and we're this morning being heavily linked with Robinson.

Personally reckon the guy [Mourinho] is a one off, never played professional football, started the road to his career at UNI level with sports science then ended up learning the man management from one of the all-time great man managers in Sir Bobby Robson.

Not really a one off when that list of things also fits AVB (and Wenger if you ignore the bit about Bobby Robson).

Last week it was by Wednesday, to which I asked which Wednesday my question still stands. Never have I known such a ridiculous state of affairs. Boy were we all right when we said this lot would cock up getting a new boss. It just can not be that hard.

Why? If you're daft enough to bet on something you hear on a message board then you deserve whatever happens, especially in the current situation. Unless it's been a deliberately malicious act you'd have absolutely no comeback

I wasnt one of the chaps who threw any money on it but he was drilling it home like the gospel, yes i know nobody was forced but its still not very smart to do...anyway regardless of who did or didnt put cash on it, where is the evidence today??

I've heard that Olly could be signing today, but I'm sure it's just rumours based on chatter here and Blackpool forums. Wouldn't surprise me if it originated from Ralfinho last night. Shebby's SkySports appearance last night suggests it's just gossip.
