Feel a bit sorry for Berg this team isn't good enough if Kean had stayed we'd probably be no better off. Certainly nowhere near the top. What we need is someone to stop the rot and managers like that are Big Sam, Warnock, Mcarthy and people of that ilk. Not everyone's cup of tea but horses for courses.

The squad might be overrated but it's the manager's job to get the most out of them through organisation, team selection, tactical nous and motivation. Berg, IMO, lamentably fails on all counts - he simply isn't good enough.

Well, I really thought Berg would have done much better than he has to date and last night, his substitutions baffled me, when Cardiff scored their last two goals, we had, Rochina, Lowe, King, Hanley, Henley, Nunez, Rhodes and Olsson all under 23 on the park with no real midfield or shape in the team and despite not playing well, at 2 - 1 we had a chance of getting a draw, maybe more I dont know, interestingly, Robbo was going long last night against a Cardiff side who won everything in the air and far stronger!!

We have and havent for almost two years, any balance in the squad, I look at Cardiff, their Central Midfield consisted of experienced and strong lads who know the Championship and Bellamy and Noone wide with lots of pace, they switched play exceptionally well (something we cant do) and it opened us up for Cardiffs first and second goals. I liked Berg as a player and honestly thought he would have cut the mustard, he may still do but time is running out for him and unless, as others have stated, he gets the backing from the club and money to spend in January, things arent going to change.

As an afterthought here, anybody else feel we create far less chances when Gomez is not in the team? personally, I would bring Gomez, Givet and Simon in for Murphy, Lowe and Formica, pushing Martin Ollson wide left and King wide right with Givet at Left full back, I do think that would give us a better balance and more experience to the team!

I've never met Henning but he seems a decent man and does want the best for us.

Some time ago Berg was quoted as saying "no real manager with any credibility would go to Blackburn" which given our performances to date under him is a touch unfortunate.

He was also quoted as saying the Raos have to "say how they are going to get the club promoted or sell it to someone else." He hoped the Walker Trust would buy it back.

In November he explained how "from the inside" he knows things are very different now.

At the BRAG open meeting Shebby told us any manager "who loses 2,3 games in a row should be dismissed." We have lost three home games in a row and attendance has plummeted to at best 8000.

In November when Berg was appointed Shebby said promotion is the "minimum and maximum"

My question to Berg would be were you right in May or November?

Of Singh I would ask do you ever mean what you say and stand by it?

Good post Gav , just have a feeling Berg will walk soon if results do not pick up ...

Venkys , have to go for the club to stop this downward spiral ..

Maybe that's why the club are keeping the back room team on? Black could well be our next permanent manager, with Hendry as number 2.

Kelbo - this would be an even bigger risk !

So far, in terms of team selection, organisation, tactical nous and motivation, he is, IMO, sadly lacking.

Unfortunately, I would not trust another, relatively, managerial novice with even a bean !

Of Singh I would ask do you ever mean what you say and stand by it?

Said he would fire Kean if he didn't achieve a certain amount of points. He didn't.

Said he would appoint the best man for the job when Kean resigned. He didn't.

It'll be interesting to hear about the next thing he's going to do that he doesn't.

I've never met Henning but he seems a decent man and does want the best for us.

I met Berg the season after we won the title and even as a young man he was very quiet and thoughtful. When I heard Berg was taking over as manager I have to admit my heart sank as I felt we needed someone to knock them into shape, not someone cerebral who will quietly usher in his own ways. Perhaps if we had time on our side then he could shape the team as he wanted but as we all know we don't have that time.

Some people seem to have been taken in by that fool singh...the wait till Jan....lol what planet are some people on.. Come Jan venkys will sell what players they can and bring in even more crap... As for tactics and team selection berg is way out his depth...the club is sinking like the titanic anyone being there last night could plainly see...venkys need to go..end of

it's very concerning that Berg still seems to have no idea what his best team is or how to get the best out of what is admittedly a fairly pathetic bunch.

IMO Berg is partly being undermined by the players. I can see some of the logic in what he is trying to do - but he can do little about inconsistent form, missed chances or defensive mistakes.

He had persisted with roughly the same group of players - it is time for him to mix it up - at the very least we need to see Givet start.

No...but him and his mates are fuucking our club. You ok with that abbey?

There's only one thing doing that and it's the venkys!!!!

I think rather than rounding on berg the biggest two questions that need asking are

Who picks the team?

Is berg actually a puppet/yes man and arse licker?

I like Berg, know a bit about him off the pitch mainly from his 2nd stint as a player here and i desperately want him to do well but he did have the look of a man out of his depth last night as did his team. Major changes need to be made i.e tell the crackpots running the club we need a muck an bullets centre half and drop Hanley, put Givet back in the side. Get a battling midfielder and pair with one of Lowe or Murphy. Obviously there are loads more changes to be made but it's unrealistic to do them all, not at once anyway but these are the minimum in my opinion and are easily done. Time for him to step up and stand up to the suits, this will show if he really is his own man or just another stooge, i fear it's the latter :(

In a nutshell Parson.

Question for everyone. How many times this season, under three different managers now, has our so called best squad in the league been the better team over 90 minutes? Peterborough..... maybe Leeds? That's two so far out of 21 games played. Yet some believe it's all down to the manager.

I believe it's down to the higher mamagent. I don't think Berg is in full control of team affairs. Shebby is calling too many shots IMO.

If not Berg is making too many mistakes. He also needs to sack our wonderful defensive coach AKA Colin braveheart Hendry.

I'd give Fazakerley a call.

Rolling the ball out from the back to the useless lumps Dann & Hanley, you really have to question Berg's intelligence.

Correct.... Robinson should hoof it up to the imposing physique of the aerially dominant giant No 9 Jordan Rhodes.

btw is it just me or are there some Rovers supporters sporting secretly satisfied smirks this morning?

I think people are being harsh on Berg, and they tend to be the people who think we have a good squad and will walk this league.....

What that rat has done to this side during his tenure here is beyond repair short term. What confused of Pune have done to the club since they took over is currently beyond repair also.

Berg has come in and is trying to bring some order back to the playing side of things, but there's no quick fix, it's consolidation this season, HOPEFULLY! And look to push on next.

Is Berg the right manager for Blackburn Rovers? I doubt it, after all a TV pundit from the Far East picked him, a bit like giving Merson the job from soccer Saturday. But he's here and he's the manager so we should all back him, for now.

Singh out

Agnew out

Venkys out

I agree with that. I've been saying for a long while if we don't get rid of Venkys Venkys will get rid of Blackburn Rovers.

As to Kelbo saying play Givet at Right Back, you've been playing too much Football Manager matey. I can't remember him actually using his right foot. Having a wholely left footed Right Back is a no-no for me.

You clearly forget what previous managers used to do then.....

Not about smirking - Berg looks well out of his depth at the moment. Seems to be constantly looking to Black too during matches unsure what to do, hardly a surprise though right.

You just know the media are gonna start saying we'd be better off with Kean still in charge round about now.......

Ive a feeling his ugly head will rise somewhere very soon, it's the perfect time. Sky have been repeatedly mentioning his name recently and there's been mention of him often in the written press as well, even Savage and Collymore have got in on the act. Something is afoot and his stage managed re-entry will be soon i think !
