thenodrog Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 lol. Drog & Shebby are BFFs. Shebby might not be ideal but he and Berg are a damned sight better than the Fat Controller and Coco and anybody who cannot see that is blind. As for you ... if you want to criticise from a safe point then fine but otherwise you need to be counting your pennies so you can divvy up, put your money where your mouth is and rescue us from the slumdog millionaires! Cos until that happens Shebby is as good as it will get.

Backroom Tom Posted December 12, 2012 Backroom Posted December 12, 2012 If Henning truly hasn't identified any areas that need strengthening its very very worrying
chaddyrovers Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 If Henning truly hasn't identified any areas that need strengthening its very very worrying maybe Henning as identified the areas in wants to strength the team. just not the players yet. I would imagine Berg is speaking to Ray Clarke(chief Scout) about players we have scouted so far and seeing which ones he is interested in. Im sure that come the January transfer window, Berg will know who he wants in and out.
Amo Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Shebby might not be ideal but he and Berg are a damned sight better than the Fat Controller and Coco and anybody who cannot see that is blind. Cos until that happens Shebby is as good as it will get. So, only relative to our most hated manager in history and his slimeball of a agent is Shebby a welcome sight at our club? I think you've said it all right there, Drog. Still no cause for your bromance. Personally, I couldn't give a monkey's about "communication". Actions speak louder than words, and so far Venky's have been deathly silent, and that includes hiring the goofball from Malaysia to represent them.
roverandout Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 thenodrog, if you think berg and singh are a damned sight better than kean and agnew (anderson?) then you need your eyes checking, they are only just slightly better, as clueless as each other!!
Speedie Dived Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 If Henning truly hasn't identified any areas that need strengthening its very very worrying No chance Berg has missed the glaring obvious Tom. More than likely there is nothing in the pot. In my 25 years of watching football we are the first club i have ever known to appoint a new manager and keep the old backroom staff in place, which 2 months later appears to being addressed, only because it's going horribly wrong on the pitch. IMO, Shebby messed up the Rhodes deal, paid over the odds and blew the budget on him, so Berg has been offered new backroom staff or bigger budget for players in Jan, not both.
martonrover Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Sooo one minute you can't believe a word then next what he says is gospel. Simply conjecture but could it not be Berg has said so and Sheeby is trying to look in charge. After all 10 minutes ago we'd have everyone believe Berg was FORCED to keep these people on now all of a sudden he's told to get rid. I doubt it. It's an excerpt written by Andy Cryer in the Lancashire Telegraph this morning. Andy is stating that Berg has been told to hire new coaches. I believe him.

Anderson does have players on his books - so he can make his cut Shebby couldn't cut his toenails if this carries much longer they may as well only bother opening 1 stand next season No chance Berg has missed the glaring obvious Tom. Kelbo Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Nice of you to own up to that. I've said all along that N'Zonzi is a country mile better than the pair of them put together. Etohu appears to have the mentality attributed most famously with Didier Deschamps (and now Balotelli) whilst Murphy is not so much a 'has been' as a 'never has been'. Makes me weep to see what Kean and his evil chum did to our club simply to further their own self interest and line their own pockets. I hope I live long enough to spit on their graves. Am I the only one to rem that a late appearence by that particular gentleman cost us two points against the dingles? Am I the only one to remember a Mike Newell penalty miss in a play off final, fortunately, it didnt cost us, we are speaking of a player who Montenegro play through and he is probably one of their best players, in my opinion and without being clever, a good opinion, he is technically the best player at the club!
RoverScot Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 John was OK alright but rem he did hire Paul 'numpty' Ince! I still cannot get my head around that one. He did decisively fire him though. And decisively hire Allardyce.
Amo Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 He did decisively fire him though. And decisively hire Allardyce. Right on the latter, but on the former I understand JW wanted to give Ince longer, only the decision was taken out of his hands.
chaddyrovers Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Right on the latter, but on the former I understand JW wanted to give Ince longer, only the decision was taken out of his hands. correct. David Brown the vice chairman of rovers and Walker family rep told him to sack him.
RoverScot Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Fair enough, I had always thought it was to do with Wigan away and chants for him to go. In a decisive football administrative contest, I still think JW would beat Shebby hands down. Man City would agree too.
Batman. Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Shebby might not be ideal but he and Berg are a damned sight better than the Fat Controller and Coco and anybody who cannot see that is blind. Better in what respect? PR? Yes. Results on a football field? As of so far, pretty identical, if not worse. Ironically, the most fruitful partnership in terms of results on the field was Kean and SS.
Rover_Shaun Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I must be blind because I think they are all s.hit
47er Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 It might be boring, but when he's coming out and saying he's going to sack Berg's coaching staff - when that decision should be down to Berg alone anyway, he's bound to get criticism. Apart from that, the coaching staff are in no way to blame for our current situation. The Raos and Venky's are responsible for that. That's the nub of it. At Ewood these days, those responsible for taking the decisions don't take responsibility for their actions(or in actions). We are where we are, not because Black, Brunskill and Hendry haven't done their jobs but because Venkys appointed a no-hoper, allowed him to systematically wreck the club by selling all our best players and leaders and kept with him even though this led to relegation. Worse, they kept him on and so we now struggle with a squad that's deficient. Everything that's done these days is done to cover these facts and deflect blame from the owners. Who appointed these coaching people anyway? Venkys did. They are to blame and have not the wherewithal to change.
martonrover Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 The Mail is now reporting exactly what Andy Cryer did this morning. Singh is forcing Berg to change his backroom staff. Who is the real manager here?
tomphil Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 We should have known the coaches change would come. It did 3 times before and it probably will again. At the wrong time of course but that's par for the course.
tomphil Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Didn't Jensen carry the can last time? Jensen then the guy from Chelsea coveniently bolted then we get Black who must have been a buddy of Keans to survive
thenodrog Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 If Henning truly hasn't identified any areas that need strengthening its very very worrying Where do you start Tom? Personally (with the possible exception of Rhodes) I couldn't care less who might leave the club in January. Obviously with my business head on the highest earners (I assume here that would mean Murphy, Robinson, Dann, MGP and Dunn) would be first out of the door. Personally, I couldn't give a monkey's about "communication". Actions speak louder than words, and so far Venky's have been deathly silent, and that includes hiring the goofball from Malaysia to represent them. Sounds like the Lords prayer that should end..... ....for which we are truly thankful, for ever and ever. Amen.
Athlete Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The Mail is now reporting exactly what Andy Cryer did this morning. Singh is forcing Berg to change his backroom staff. Who is the real manager here? looks like Singh is in charge and Hennings sold his soul ...Singh and Henning talk tactics read between the lines singh is in charge not Berg... The sooner these clowns leave and Rovers start again the better cos anyone dreaming of going back up this season or next under these fools is really dreaming.... Anyone else reckon a 24 hour protest against the owners like last year should be back on the cards ???
Backroom DE. Posted December 13, 2012 Backroom Posted December 13, 2012 The problem with the protests is nobody is listening anymore. When we were a prem club we got coverage, but there won't be much if any coverage for a protest at a Championship club and with attendances already in the gutter I doubt the owners will bat an eyelid to another protest.
Ewoodbhappy Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The Mail is now reporting exactly what Andy Cryer did this morning. Singh is forcing Berg to change his backroom staff. Who is the real manager here? The picture that sticks in my mind most is the one of Shebby in the tracksuit with SS embroided on. DELUSIONAL TW@T!! He is the real problem - Berg is just another nodding Dog.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 looks like Singh is in charge and Hennings sold his soul Was never gonna be any different. Its the very reason Berg got the job as opposed to someone like Holloway. Those optimistically claiming he wouldn't take ****, is a strong character, would stand up to them because of his love for Rovers etc, simply weren't living in the real world. You give someone a massive promotion, you own them. Thats how business works.
