I don't understand the argument that getting behind the club and players will help. How will that help exactly? We're not knocking on the door of the top 2 positions, with just that extra bit of encouragement needed to open it. We're stood about a mile down the road from the house, languishing in 13th in the table and currently 21st in the form table. There are things seriously wrong with the set-up of the club, and closing our eyes and hoping for the best won't do a thing to solve them.

What do you suggest as an alternative? Sit back and snipe while the club fails and then say "told you so"?

That seems to be the default option for many on here.

So what's the alternative?

Even the post above yours says we should be happier these days? I was one of the ones calling for Sam to play the game as he had shown he could. The same will happen to him at West ham given time if he doesn't as it did at Bolton and Newcastle before us. Just as some are happy with a pint others want the packet of crisps as well.

I liken what has happened at rovers to being paralyzed from the neck down watching a doctor carve out my heart with a spoon, I'm helpless to do anything, the doctor tells me it's the right way to do it, but my own knowledge tells me there's a better way. And we all know there's no arguing with doctors these days. The protests have failed, shebby's sorted that and now we have no choice but to sit back and endure the pain of having a blunt instrument hack out our hearts.

Whatever the fans do, attend, boycott, protest, complain, praise, form a trust, whatever, it should be obvious by now that the club is going down the crapper and no fan can do anything about it.

It does appear as though some will never genuinely be happy.

When we had a fantastic manager in Sam and were a comfortable mid-table Premiership side, some fans complained that the football being played wasn't good enough for them (!!).

Then others decided that they'd boo their own players like Andrews.

Kean was obviously a legitimate complaint, even if it took the majority too long to cotton onto what he was up to.

But then people complained that time was being taken to appoint a new manager (whilst complaining about Black in the meantime)...before complaining that 'only' Berg was appointed.

And now Singh is the new target.

I sometimes think that a lot of Rovers fans are only ever happy when they're unhappy.

That's b0ll@cks! What's there to be happy about right now?

Our results since Berg has took over have been nothing short of diabolical considering we've only just been relegated to this league. Being given time to improve things is one thing, making things significantly worse as soon as you arrive is something else. The best thing that could happen to the club right now is Singh, Berg and our collection of garbage coaches are sent packing, and Shaw is assigned to the task of picking our next manager. Apparently he wasn't happy with Berg, which would indicate at least he has some idea of what we need.

Hey great idea Steve.

Hence the quote that "BRFC don't have supporters they have a jury".

JW and the trust gave us 20 years of punching well over our weight (and unfortunateloy raising a generation of spoilt brats in the process) but now we are descending to our true level...... anybody care to guess where that will eventually be?

Nothing happened at Bolton at all. He was lured away in the middle of his 10 year contract by a bigger club with greater financial resources (a route Hughes wanted to happen). Just speculating but losing out on the England job despite being the stand out candidate must have played a big part in his decision cos I'm fairly certain that if he had already been at NUFC or similar the wally with the brolly would never have happened....and we'd have qualified for Euro 08.

Bloody obvious..... and if it isn't ask a fan of any team in Div 1 and 2.

btw do you qualify as one of those in the final sentence of my previous post? I apologise if I am wrong but it sounds to me like you do.

On what basis do you two say that? Have you met him or is it just word of mouth? I suggest it can only be personal dislike cos everything reported on here is just heresay as far as I am concerned.

Personally I see a bloke charged with a big job who to date appears well intentioned if a little out of his depth, however only time will tell and the application of sheep mentallity will yield nothing positive. As I say he's got the job with little experience of that position or English Championship football so it can't be easy. Where does he go for help? Who can he trust? I see him as enthusiastic and a tryer (and God loves those) who is flying the club on the seat of his pants but with good intentions. If he appears a little too involved then that is only natural. I may be wrong but as I say I don't get the stench of corruption with these two as I did with the previous 'mob'.

Anyway you two.... just like I asked (without success) the 'Allardyce Out Brigade' time and again a couple of years back for any better options for the club that were in any way sensible or workable... please would you give us what you see as the next move by the owners should you succeed in lynching this months scapegoat? Personally I feel that we could well be drinking in the Last Chance salloon cos I'vbe a feeling that the Venkymob would stop flogging a very costly dead horse, realise that they have bought a pup and that BRFC can never ever turn a profit and could easily pull up the drawbridge!

So what then guys? Lets have less automatic criticism and some serious and workable proposals. Now I'm not holding my breath so could you give us all the benefit of your enlightened blue sky thinking? Oh and ffs don't mention Wayne Wild / Brag / Brisa or whatever..... they are for the day which may not be too far off when we wake up and find ourselves in the Blue Square North! Off you go.

btw athlete sorry I'm not clever enough to do the math.....100% +10000000000 is what exactly?

Yes I met Shebby at the infamous Blakleys debacle. I asked the very first question ( allows name to face). I managed to record most of what was said. I listened to it again the other day. Nothing - including the departure of Kean - since then has changed my opinion of Shebby. Being kind - he's a freakin clown.

To formulate an opinion of someone, you have to listen and observe. I have seen enough of him to know what I think of him. If anyone thinks he should be the figurehead of BRFC - I'm astounded!

Blue sky thinking?? We are in the deep do do.

I can't see a happy ending and would like to see the back of the Venkys.

I don't think that will be happening anytime soon, so I would ask them to install a fit & proper board of directors to run the club, and if necessary ( we'll see by end of Feb ) appoint a manager capable of taking the club forward or at least halting the slide.

A structured BRFC would be nice. Don't you think?

Indeed it would BUT if the venky's do bail out (as I am sure they will sooner or later) I shudder to think what will happen. BRFC cannot wash it's own face financially and there ain't many Uncle Jacks out there..... just a few random 10 bob millionaires I fear.

I wasn't one of the Allardyce out brigade as I knew with BS in charge we were never in danger of the drop....then what happens ? a total disaster thats what..now they've appointed the biggest comedian since Bernard manning has a global advisor

the sooner these clowns go the better in any way shape or form if the trust have to take the club off administrators so be it...but we'll be run by people with BRFC in there blood and with the best interests of BRFC unlike these shysters because look around Ewood on matchdays its dying on its feet all down to Venkys !

...depends how they bail out

Berg - “I am surprised to see things in the papers, with things coming out, I don’t know why it was coming out and how it was coming out."

Operations director with former media contacts from his time as a bad press officer? A Malaysian pundit/director/chairman/imbecile with a penchant for over the top communication?

I said my preferred alternative at the end of the second paragraph. Whether the fans will have any impact on that happening is debatable, the more poor results we get under Berg, the more likely he'll get potted anyway. I just don't see the point in pretending everythings fine when its clearly the opposite. Until we get a good manager, positivity from the support will have no effect, just as it didn't under Ince, Kidd, Kean in his first season etc.

Hey great idea Steve.

Whats wrong with it? Shabby's demented, Berg's rubbish, our coaches are amateurs, clear them out and start again. We literally have nothing to lose, if things are kept as they are then flirting with relegation will be our only entertainment this season.

Lured away??? you sure? As I remember him quitting with two games to go amide rumours he'd banged Gartsides wife??? He joined newcastle a couple of months later after strangley walking out on a team 2 matches away from champions league football. Always a tricky one, but a season ticket holder mate of mine sums it up. At the time he loved him, how could he not they were a nothing championship team and he took them to 4th in the prem. Did he enjoy the footie, no but he loved the results and the ride.

Sam lost out on the England job not because of his football but because of his mouth, he doesn't know when to shut-up. The FA don't want someone like him in charge of the national team as they know he'll say naughty things in the press. Sam struggled with the ego's a newcastle so god knows how you think he would have coped with Rooney et al.

Sam's a good mid-table manager who will keep you in the league but he can only do it one way which is fine for some but not for me and never will be.

the debate about berg is irrelevant, show me a club, any club, thats has retarded owners, a tv pundit in charge and if the story´s are true, a club in a mess, that has succes.?

and those who are defending shebby, what the hell are you guys smoking?, the man is a tool and way way way out of his depth. The fact he is well intended is completely irrelevant, otherwise we might aswell put a fan in, as global advisor. The only reason anyone could defend him, is due to we´ve been served kean the last 2 years, so the taste and smell isnt that bad anymore. Shebby is being compared to kean, he is basically being compared to an idiot, most people would look good in such a contest. Had shebby come in as a direct replacement for john williams, a pro through and through, the same lunatics who are now stroking shebbys hair, would be crying about it.

+1 greco, Maji & Hypno.

Comparisons with Hughes are quite frankly insulting. Hughes was working under a completely different Blackburn Rovers to the one we find now. Shebby admitted that he's effectively our new John Williams. Did JW make a public spectacle of himself? Did he openly discuss tactics in front of the supporters, thus undermining the manager? Did he walk round Brockhall with a 'JW' tracksuit on? This job was going to be demanding enough for Berg as it is, seeing as his credentials were in dispute, let alone having that goon interfering with first-team affairs.

Btw, what's Shebby's handicap like, Drogster?

I have to believe you knew exactly what you were writing Gordon and I have to believe you don't truly believe that and it is just a post to provoke a response. Perhaps a Shebbyesque cry for attention.

Making a late surge for the 'Most controversial poster...' award, I reckon.

Although he's more likely to win something else. ;)

So you weren't there the other night. Explain how that makes your views on the meeting and Singh's performance relevant ?

It was on live on the radio. You did not need to be there to form either a good or bad opinion.

Ha! A sweaty and a football snob rolled into one!!! You should be displayed in the rare breeds tent at County shows. ^_^

Only problem for you is that I very much doubt you'll ever see BRFC mid table in the Prem again, so where will you get your fix of the beautiful game now? barca on the telly perhaps? If so insomnia won't ever bother you will it?

I wasn't there but at the 'Bloggers night' yesterday Shebby said it wouldn't take 5 weeks to replace Berg if necessary as there are now more out if work managers.

Sounds like he's already making plans ( and just couldn't keep it to himself ).

to any of those taken in by shabby this is proof of how unproffesional the clown is ..if anymore is needed

He wasn't exactly short of choices when Kean walked! Didn't he say something like 30+ managers had made contact regarding the position?
