I can honestly see Henning quitting Rovers in the near future. #jokeclub

Rumours have been circulating since Sunday afternoon that he is very close to walking.

As I posted on Saturday night after I had seen him dining alone, IMV, he cut a very dispirited figure who looked as though he had simply had enough.

Berg seems an honourable man - if he is not being allowed to pick his own team and this run of results continues I would expect him to resign sooner rather than later. One thing is for certain - the ludicrous Singh will defend his choice of manager and Berg will not be sacked as long as Singh is at the club.

I'm not so sure Jim.

The flak was directed firmly in Singh's direction on Saturday and that will continue next Saturday if things go badly again.

The usual reaction of a Chairman ( or Global idiot in our case ) is to change the manager in an attempt to placate the fans.

Didn't bother Venky's last season as they were never here.

Singh is here.

Why was it Dann's fault and not Givet ? Personally don't know who should have been marking Thomas.

No it isn't - he says he doesn't support conspiracies - and then fills the article full of consipracy theories about who picks the team !

Personally I am sick of all the rumours with no proof - you will always have them - but it has just been daft since the Venky's took over (and I don't think it is all their fault).

Mr Roverpool well who's fault is it then ?

With the decision making process it could take until February until someone is appointed though - would leave Shebby to bring more Portuguese randoms in Janaury.

Perhaps Henrique can be our new commanding centre back and captain whilst he is at it.

But would it do anything?

Singh would probably just be appointed with finding a new manager again. Business as usual.

and hopefully if the Raos mess about with him, he'll tell 'em to stick it as well.

What else is going to work?

Trouble with hoping that Berg's resignation will trigger change within the club as a whole is that there have already been bigger, more traumatic incidents which have hardly changed a thing.

With Berg in charge, worst case scenario we have at least one honest, sincere figure in a position of authority with the best interests of the club at heart. Best case scenario, he might also prove to be a good manager given time. Either way, seeing as his resignation is unlikely to force major change, madness to want him to go in my view.

And start sticking his nose in again.

I think it's now starting to come out why he wasn't willing to appoint the likes of Holloway.

If Berg goes, Singh has to go in order for us to move forwards. I know there's not a lot of love for Shaw, but if he had been in charge of the appointment we'd have Holloway as manager right now.

My thoughts exactly. Ship them both out and give Shaw the decision. Preston reject he might be but at least he knows a bit about football, there's no guessing who the lunatic Singh would try to appoint next.

Think it's a disgrace the lack of support Bergs had from both the club and fans from scratch. Been hung out to dry. Shame on us.

Eh? He wasn't my choice but I've supported him. I think that's the general view of most.

Now Steve Kean, there's a man that deserves hanging then drying with a flamethrower.

Not sure I agree with a lot of it in there.

"He (Singh) talked the talk."

Nobody has been impressed by Singh in the media. Talking a lot is not the same as talking the talk.

"I would like to know, for instance, the decision making process behind dropping Paul Robinson on Saturday. Who decided to start with Simon Vukcevic and who decided to stick Diogo Rosado (who? Exactly) on the bench?"

Obviously there is heavy inference that someone is interfering with Berg's selections here.

Berg tried to sign Friedel so obviously isn't a Robinson fan. The facts from last season and this show Robinson lets in a large percentage of shots (all 4 of Cardiff's went in). Most people have wanted to see Vukcevic start a game (who else would played on the right?), and Diogo Rosado is ex-Sporting Lisbon and Portugal U21 international.

Poor article in my opinion, not helpful to anyone.

Formica and Nunes was injured so who else can we had played Wide right. only Vukcevic.

Rosado was on bench probably down to injures to Murphy, Gomes, Formica and Nunes. All 4 players would have made the match day 18 for sure

I suspect there would be a quick meeting with Hughes...

... Then Hughes would tell him he'd need changes to manage the club and Shebby would decide he's not the man for the club and could do better.

As I posted on twitter I can honestly see Henning walking away from the Rovers. Dan Clough's article in the LT today tells it how it is. I just can't see any decent manager wanting the Rovers job under current conditions.

Is Shebby blocking or advising Berg to change the coaching staff???

what other things is Shebby not allowing Berg to do that you know of Kamy?

Im in Bergs camp, and i support him despite the results. However, if Singh is indeed messing him about, then i do hope as well that he walks away from this. I just dont get it though, because Henning was adamant that he makes all the decisions, and he wont accept people interfering with team selection. If however Singh is getting involved, then Berg needs to make a very quick decision to walk away, or stand up to Singh and let him know what he thinks of it.

Either way, this is going to end in disaster once again.

agree. Berg has to be in charge of footballing matters like Tactics, coaching staff and team selection like any normal manager is.

Did SS want to give Black the manager job so he could be Dof and Black head coach???

Can you please explain to me how you think this stance is justified given your position as chief agitator under Allardyce? Its absolutely comical, do you grasp the concept of hypocrisy and how it completely devalues your opinion? I feel like I'm being given a lecture on civic duty by Abu Hamza.

At the ground I support Rovers as much as possible. In fact I'm part of the 1% of fans who spends every game trying create an atmosphere, something that keeps getting mentioned on here by people that I suspect don't actually bother to do it themselves. But that doesn't change the fact that support will do no good, you may as well suggest Ince/Kidd could have turned it round with continued support, and that Venkys were right to keep Kean on for 2 years to see if there was any effect to be had from good support.

Good support can improve things if you have an average/good manager and you want to boost home results that extra 5%. Like what everyone should have been doing under Big Sam. But appointing a chronic manager who's getting chronic results and then suggesting good support can fix things is rubbish. We're struggling for reasons that have nothing to do with support, so how is support gonna help?

Although everyone hast to continue to give their support, your post makes perfect sense. This isn't a means of support affecting the results. The cuts are much deeper and will take much longer to heal. Do I think if we had 25,000 fans at Ewood every week the team would perform amazingly and consistently win? Do I heck.

Best thing Berg can do both for himself and Rovers is to walk and sing his heart out.

He probably doesn't need a 'pay-off'.

From a personal angle, he would maintain his integrity and what remains of his managerial reputation on the basis that he wasn't allowed to do the job.

From the fans' perspective, it might just cause the 'explosion' we all need and, metaphorically, shake the place to bits.
