I live overseas and it would be difficult to justify to my Mrs spending that amount of money on something that I cant use. Instead of buying an ST I have bought quite a bit of Rovers gear online. Does that count?

Rovers should follow the suit of my second club, Villarreal, and offer a loyalty card for overseas fans. Their one only costs €25 and offers you half-price tickets, money-off vouchers for official merchandise, prize draws, and other goodies. Think something similar would make a good incentive for Rovers fans who can't commit to a season ticket.

You didn't see the beads of perspiration on Richard Scudamore's brow when he met the BRFC Action group...

Not this again. What did this dossier achieve? Nothing. Was there not talk that if either the prem or the FL didn't do anything with regards to the content of the dossier. That it would be taken to other authorities?

Course it does... but you'd prob have to spend double that amount for the club to benefit to the same degree.

Er indoors'd buy you a ST for Christmas wouldn't she? Anyway why would you even tell her?

I must say at this stage that I have not renewed my ST since the Venkymob turned up so I'm not being judgemental on anyone but if people want to contribute to the finances at BRFC a ST at 50p per day is maybe the best and easiest option. btw Why such measures are necessary when the wages of the players are so ludicrously inflated is almost sinful.

Just as an aside I know loads of people who pay annual fees to clubs and organisations without ever getting their moneys worth.

Why would the Premier League be worried about running an investigation into the dealings of a business partner of the FA if it contravened their own regulations?

On the topic of Kentaro, their CEO Philippe Huber was invited to the Swedish football awards ceremony this weekend (Kentaro are in charge of selling the Swedish TV rights amongst other things), but stormed out in a rage, before it started, as he wasn't seated at the most important table (I don't know the term, but basically where the most important guests of honor are seated). He claimed that he was there to talk to his business partners, and that he wasn't Mickey Mouse.

So it was Huber who slept at the training ground and left the place bouncing in January??

It must be Huber who still talks about 'that' tackle as well.

Nixon talks a load of Barry White.

And Huber who signed Myles bloody Anderson and Jordan Slew!!! need I say more !

We all knew deep down there was never going to be an investigation the PL and FA just listened but did nothing

I think that after almost 2 years, we can only assume that there is little, if anything, awry other than, IMO, gross incompetence.

Not one investigation of any type launched, not one story published - I think this tells its own story.

We have all heard various rumours but in the absence of anyone having either concrete evidence or the courage of their convictions to 'put up' based on circumstantial, I think it can all be dismissed as one almighty bag of wind.

What? So the rumours of the 'Scottish Mafia' aren't true?

I'll have whatever you're smoking, pal.

According to Alan Nixon we were all wrong to criticise Jerome Anderson as Huber was the man who made the big decisions and was effectively pulling the strings at BRFC in the early days after the Venky take over.

Nicko was probably trying to head off some of the stick he knew was heading his buddy's way.

I thought you haven't even seen this dossier philip? If you had seen the panic stricken, sweaty head of Mr Scudamore, surely even you would have been intrigued by the contents.

So new TV deal being negotiated at the time and also consider the scandal it would have created. We've already seen Pompey, they then tightened it all up and then we see Venky's. Given the premier-leagues long standing relationship with all media outlets it wouldn't be difficult to apply pressure. It was considered a big enough issue for MP's to discuss in parliment but yet not at Premier-league head quarters???

Fit and proper to me means all aspects of running a club, even JW saw fit to raise concerns over peoples involvement suggesting it wasn't fit and proper.

Just remember where we stand now, no sponsor, banking abroad, All the best staff walked out, they can't even hire staff properly and we're losing millions this year. Fit and proper my pale hairy Scottish Keanside. Unfortunatly it will all be brushed under the carpet and left there as Scudamore desires very much to see the premier-league take off in India as it has in other parts of Asia.

+1 Excellent post.

Absolutely spot on imo, especially the bit in bold. The situation in a nutshell.

I don't suppose however that will ever stop people who have a rather strange agenda and who don't like Venky's like Philip from trying to get the Club in trouble for supposed breaches of regulations or wittering on about Venky's not being the real owners of the Club/Kentaro or SEM owning the Club/JA owning the Club/Us only being allowed to sign SEM players/Venky's being a front for the Scottish mafia/Kean have something on the owners/Kean being unsackable and part owning the Club/Relegation not being down to Kean being a crap manager but due to alleged betting scam / (insert latest conspiracy theory designed to make the owners appear corrupt here)

If it ever comes to light there was any substance whatsoever to any of these conspiracy theories I will be the first to hold my hands up and say I was wrong.

Not too often that I find myself in complete agreement with you Rev, but in this case ......absolutely spot-on!

I have tried to convince all and sundry ever since the inception of the Action Group and all the consequential "aggro" at matches and marches etc. All of which played a secondary part in helping me to keep away from Ewood for the last season and this so far (Wolves this season excepted).

My main concern was the disgrace that was supposed to be our manager, but also I was very anxious to see the back of the Venkys......not because I thought of them as in any way crooked or dishonest, but purely because I believed (and still do) that they are as far away from being suitable owners for ANY football club as it is possible to get. Completely and utterly incompetant and disinterested as far as I am concerned. The quicker they get out, the better.

Philip was indeed with the delegation who met Scudamore!!

Why was he there having no knowledge of what is inside of this file?

I bet the sweat was there because Mr Scudamore thought, "Oh shyte, their mental...help."

I like what he has to say although it hints that Simon's role may continue as one from the bench for now

That's progress at least. He looks a class player and just the type we'll need to get up the league.

But what is fit and proper? Owners are deemed fit and unfit on numerous levels. Bolton's owners have racked up £100m + of debt, our previous ownership structure racked up £20m+ of debt too (and it would have been much higher but for the likes of Bentley, Santa Cruz , Warnock etc being flogged) - are they fit and proper and do they offer sustainability? I think it's a hard one for the Premier League to judge. I think all they can do is uncover whether or not they are criminals and try to suss out their intentions, but once they give the green light, their hands are tied.
