It must be hard to form such an opinion when you don't go to games, come on mercer post something positive, I dare you :tu:

Gav- I responded to your challenge the other day and said that I expected Rovers to win today, and backed them with significant money, and that I also had bought a handful of tickets for Bolton game ! How am I doing ?

For quite some time, some supporters have been thinking we have one of the best, if not the best, squad in the Championship and all we needed was a decent manager.

Well the manager has changed and Berg has to be given a fair crack.

However, I have said many times that, IMO, the squad balance isn't right. We do not have enough players with that mean and ruthless streak - too many 'fancy dans'.

Unfortunately, for Berg, Rovers and us supporters, I fear things will soon get worse rather than better - look at our next 6 fixtures:

  • Bolton Home
  • Burnley Away
  • Cardiff Home
  • Blackpool Away
  • Brighton Home
  • M'brough Away

I think we might be lucky to come away with 6 points from that lot.

Givet and Lowe would give us a bit more physicality and aggression, whilst Simon would give us some much needed guile.

If Henning, doesn't sort things fast, he's going to find himself under the most enormous of pressure.

Jason Lowe couldnt fight his way out of a paper bag so why link physicality and aggression with this kid.

These are the Venky's London Limited group accounts. Rovers accounts should be out soon.

Didn't see previous accounts but therefore suspect that they will only show shareholding in Rovers (plus any inter co loans, if any) which will not tell us about operational trading position nor debt attached to BRFC.

Sorry mercer never saw that, but good to hear you're going to the bolton game, and NEVER bet on the team you support.

I agree Mercerman, we do have too many 'fancy dans'. Kean bought far too many of those types of players which means the squad is now unbalanced.

So who are ALL these fancy Dans, let's see Rochina perhaps and then there is........ mm well I'm struggling please help.

Results will come. Playing the right way. Just need consistency but that will come with wins , clean sheets and confidence.

We are still sixth tonight. We have a fighting chance. If we are in the top six by febuary then its Well done and the hard work starts there to maintain form and fitness but mist important mentality with squad depth.

Anyone sticking up for robbo ought to look at themaelves. He's one of the main reasons we are struggling. He's gash! Overweight, slow, error prone whilst he keans everyone else bar himself.

Etuhu and Murphy is a horrible pairing in this league ones a lump the other has no legs.

for a couple of months we had the 2 jones in the middle and all was good but beyond that central midfield has seemed irrellevant here for years.....no suprise teams run at our defence so easily week in and week out.

Berg has a free pass on critisism from me until he can bed his own players in.

He really needs to sort out set-piece takers.

Why, when we have Danny Murphy on the pitch ie someone who took them for a Premier League side last year, does Formica and Rochina take the free-kicks and corners, which were poor all day.

To be fair I thought some of the corners were put into decent areas but far too often there was no pressure on their keeper. In my opinion there wasn't enough movement inside the penalty area. We needed a lot more than we got to move their players around. I agree that Rohina's free-kicks were poor.

Tell that to Paul Robinson.

Berg, and many of us, think Ribinson is not up to it. It is very difficult to go after another top class keeper without the incumbent finding out. Pressure on positions is a good thing. If it motivates Robinson to drop two stone, and work on his positioning and his throws (instead of hoofs) it's a good thing.

Once the move for Brad became public knowledge it needed to be successful.

Berg seemed to leave it very late in the loan window in his attempt.
