According to the LT the club have announced this tonight.

A marvellous jest urge, but always thought it should be done whilst he's alive, but should be the riverside.

What's a jest urge?

An uncontrollable desire to tell a joke.

I went to the zoo the other day, there was only one dog in it, it was a shitzu.

(I wouldn't have gone with the Douglas one though!) :unsure;

Not before time, best player I've seen at Ewood without a doubt.

And a Rover through and through.

You can't imagine Alan Shearer showing folk around the trophy room...

He was still sat in the directors box at the last match so I hope this isn't posthumous!

I'm way too young to have seen him play but my grandad thought he was great. Definitely a fantastic jest urge by the club ^_^

Dougie had the ball tied to his feet.

Could dribble like no other.

The only way he was stopped was with a foul.

To my mind he was kicked out of the game in the same way Pele was. Yes, he was that good.....

Wonder what Bryan makes of it?

I wasn't at the do on Thursday night when the club announced it but Bryan was there but I have beeb told that he was very moved by the gesture, which he had no idea about beforehand.

I just hope that there are copies of these Pathe News videos elsewhere. I would hate to think that if that Pathe News site disappears, there will be no other record of these clips.

To me, they're priceless.

Loved that clip Ian. How big was that crowd!

127,874. The biggest crowd I was ever part of was at Hampden in 1964 which was for the Scotland England match where the attendance was 133,245.
