The Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke heavyweight title clash on Sky last night was superb, if anyone hasn't seen it catch-up on Sky, you'll not be disappointed.

Fury and Wilder despite producing two decent scraps between each other have stunk up the Hw div for years.

Sooner they both naff off and enjoy a long retirement the better.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fury retires after the Usyk fight (and the rematch). I know he retires and returns for fun, but I feel like he's genuinely nearly done. If he loses I think he'll genuinely bow out. If he wins, it's possible he'll have a fight with Joshua then retire for good. There's really not anyone left for him to beat, and nothing left for him to prove or win, after he's fought those two. And if he loses, his ego won't take it well and he'll think it's time to call it quits.

Ego

You've already mentioned what will keep him going as well as the lure of easy money. If he can earn 10/20 million beating up some dossers like hes done plenty times before then he'll keep doing it imo.

Only a real good hiding would make him realise the game is up.

Can't see it being on Saturday but i could seeing being v Joshua and that will surely come next.

With his mental health history I think he'll give it up as soon as it has him feeling low, which I think would come with his first defeat.

I wouldn't underestimate Usyk (who he will have to face twice) either. He deservedly beat Joshua after all. Joshua might seem a closer physical match, but Usyk is a real warrior. I don't think Fury will KO him.

I don't think Usyk carries real HW power like the top guys, technically he is the best but Fury is so long and awkward it's hard for anyone to tag him without taking one back.

If Usyk had a good punch on him i think he wins this all ends up but as it is Fury will grab, pull, hold, foul and look to stop the older much lighter Usyk when he begins to tire.

Nobody on earth hopes it's the other way around more than me.

You're certainly right that it's a tough proposition for Usyk, Fury is very awkward to fight as you say, due to his size and technique. Joshua had size over him too, but he managed that...of course, Fury has a further 3 inches of height and 3 inches of reach compared to Joshua. There's only a year and 8 months between them though, I don't think the age will be a factor, as Usyk probably keeps himself in better shape.

Think you're exactly right that will be Fury's gameplan, it usually is. But I'm not sure he will manage the KO against a very tough opponent, and in that case Usyk will have a good chance on points as he's technically better.

I'm not saying Usyk will win, I just think it could go either way and wouldn't rule him out. It's not likely to be a fight I pop a bet on.

Main difference for me between AJ and Fury is the latter much as i detest him usually gets his tactics right on the big nights. AJ was bizarre in that first Usyk fight he was trying to outbox a pure boxer and totally neglected his main attributes whereas the big dosser uses every advantage he's blessed with very well.

Anyway a few interesting stats ..

In genuine lineal HW fights ( not sure this really is but that's for another day) only two guys have ever won when giving away 50 lbs or more in weight, Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard.

Surprisingly Fury - to date - despite his gargantuan size isn't the heaviest to win a HW title he's about 5 th in the list behind Carnera, Valuev, Rahman and Bowe.

Everything aside from footwork is severely stacked against the Ukrainian it's some achievement if he pulls it off, somebody 0 has got to go as they say.

Verdict - controversial draw 😆

Cordina got found out tonight. No clue why he stayed on the inside. It will be interesting to see if he had an injury - didn’t use his jab much at all and legs looked like he had gone

There's many people speculating how many of the Sim's gym boxers have lost all their power and stamina since Benn got his double test failure.

Almost like something is missing from them all now.

Yeah seeing that on social media myself. I always thought Cordina’s trainer was Joe Gallagher. Can’t say I follow boxing as much as I used to. One of the most corrupt sports in the world for a reason….. 😂

Why the hell do they drag this so late?

Almost 1am in Saudi. Getting late in UK. New York 6pm.

Get the bloody fights on earlier.

They'll piss on with songs, elaborate ring walks etc for 45 mins after this bout.

Genuinely don’t understand it. More ad revenue breaks?!

We have to fanny on 4am/5am get ups for Vegas fights. This seems pretty perfect time for EVERYONE- 3pm in LA so football kick off time.

It's boiling my blood.

The one after the break? Be honest was looking at my phone and only heard commentators talking about it.

He took a solid beat down tho. Can't see one blow being the difference.

And he bounced back from it round after.

Tell me about it

Came back up to Blackburn to watch this with my old man. After a day in the sun he couldn’t be arsed to stay out. Now the old git has gone to bed….could have stayed at home and saved him £25

At least I got to see a good days cricket down Cherry Tree 🍺

I swear when this Saudi shambles started some of AJ's fights were on by 10.20pm.

But maybe my mind playing tricks.

Was the only part I was fully on board with.

Now I have to put with the shit atmosphere and a shit time.

I think it’s crap

A childhood memory is being woken up at silly o’clock to see Mayweather v Hatton. None of this crazy production beforehand from what I can remember. Nothing wrong with Michael Buffer stood in the middle calling out the boxers. They are out America-ing the Americans here……

Awesome, now I feel old too.

I went an all night boozer after finishing working a 12hr shift at a nightclub.

Literally 2 drinks in surrounded by absolute states. Was an interesting environment.

Awful scoring, but right result.

All our lot had the draw, the beer table almost went over when the last judges scorecard was read out.

I think the knock down biased the scorecards for the remaining rounds - but to be fair Fury lost against Ngannou so he can't really complain.

Thought Usyk won by 2 points minimum.

Fury showed immense resilience. Don't know if we'll ever see a fighter with his durability again.

Would love to see it run again, but suspect one of them will call it a day, don't know which one, and wouldn't blame either.

Tremendous resumes full of great entertainment.

Usyk won that no doubts but it looked like a draw was on the cards you can always guarantee one bent/crap judge.

If Usyk had real power as well that is over before the end, Fury had his moments midway which is where i thought he'd get Usyk beforehand.  He always slows a bit midway and maybe Fury with more weight gets him out of there i think he might be regretting the decision to go light and try and outbox the master.

Usyk is the real elite boxer and that showed last night but Furys resilience is top drawer, he was gone in the 9th though, should have been stopped.

Anyway his 0 that he has gone to great lengths at times to protect has gone, his ego and that of his family and nuthuggers shattered forever.

That'll do me.
