tomphil Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Froch and Calzaghe having a set too on twitter earlier. That's a fight I'd love to have seen. Pity Calzaghe's been out to long now. Quote
Gav Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Talk of a Froch v Golovkin fight later in the year at Wembley, not sure Froch needs this one having been out of the ring so long but maybe money talks. Watch this space. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 27, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted May 27, 2015 If the price is right, I reckon Froch could be tempted back in like you say. Always liked Froch as a fighter myself. Quote
ABBEY Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) Froch won't take this unless it's for mega wonga . Only one winner and he ain't from Nottingham Edited May 27, 2015 by ABBEY Quote
Gav Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Yes I like Froch also, lot of heart, never ducked anyone. Golovkin looks a class act, but Froch is a tough lad, doesn't get knocked out, interesting if the fight goes ahead. Quote
tomphil Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I'd never bet against the Cobra, he's had a few schoolings because of his take a punch to land one style but he gets through them. GGG could be a different matter though and it's a massive risk, not sure how much heart is left in Froch now he seems happy semi retired. Always a slow starter and there's no second chances against Golovkin. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 30, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted May 30, 2015 Seen a lot of talk online about Khan possibly fighting Mayweather today. It might just be me, but I can only assume he's just up for a very well - paid pasting, as I just can't see him doing anything against Mayweather!! Quote
ABBEY Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Gonna have to find a link for tonight's bill Quote
Gav Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Think I'll buy it, doubt we'll see any shocks, seems routine for the main players but its Saturday night boxing live, few beers, bit of grub, good night in. Quote
ABBEY Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Can't be arsed with best part of 20 notes . Don't mind paying for the huge fights but sky can F off for me on this one they get enough off me . Quote
Gav Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Selby just fought the fight of his life, brilliant performance, clinical and accurate boxing. Quote
ABBEY Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 What about cleverleys body punch too .. Selby was class Quote
Gav Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 That body punch was terrific, you'd not have felt it with all the cushioning though Abs Was up for Mitchell until the bubbles song..... Quote
Gav Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 A lot of heart Kevin Mitchell, pity he couldn't have kept it up. Quote
tomphil Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Love to see AJ flatten that knob Fury. Think it'll be Price or Chisora next though. Quote
Gav Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Can't stand Fury, wouldn't be to bad if he was half decent but he's just a big lad in a poor division. Brook fight was terrible also, Gavin shouldn't have been in the same ring as him. Still a good nights boxing, beats reality TV any day of the week. Quote
tomphil Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Enjoyed that bill tonight. The last one Hearn put together was a bit poor so tonights match ups were worth watching although I agree on Gavin. Maybe he thought he could shake Brook up a bit like Groves did to Froch in the first fight, Brook probably had harder spars though. Quote
ABBEY Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Glad I didn't pay.. Brook as expected. Bring on fury ! Quote
adopted scouser Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) http://youtu.be/eMSjA2oWT2Q Have we finally found a real heavyweight ?! Edited May 31, 2015 by adopted scouser Quote
matt83 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 That was pretty emphatic. Sure his talent will become clearer when he fights someone who can fight back. But credit where it's due for all Kevin Johnson is finished the likes of vitali klitschko didn't manage to knock him out. I'd like to see him fight price, chisora then fury clean up the domestic heavyweights and perhaps a fight with deontay wilder or wladimir if still about in a few years. I know it was only fraudly Harrison. But wilder looks a beast. Quote
